We use to go for breakfast when it was Hurricane a group of 6 of us, every other Wednesday. The food was always great and service good. Same friends and I went for lunch on a Wednesday, to now Palm after renovations. Very disappointed. The place is pretty. Prices were drastically increased. The food was not worth the price. The service was not good. The waitress seemed bothered, when we asked why the increased in prices. Finally she said, it was due to remodeling. Which was really a change in paint, ceiling lights and some new outdoor chairs. We will not be back. read more

Another great breakfast spot we tried: The Palm House. The food was delicious, and we were able to sit outside with our dog, which made it even better. The staff was incredibly friendly, there was live music, and it felt like such a welcoming place as we settle into West Palm Beach. Hurricane cafe is a great little spot for lunch! We came on a Sunday afternoon for breakfast, but unfortunately they stop serving at 1. That didn't stop us from enjoying their lunch menu! I got the Cuban sandwich and my fiancé got the buffalo chicken wrap. Both were very enjoyable. My favorite part of the experience was how clean it was! The bussers were on top of it. It was my first time here and I ordered the Sunrise Burrito because of the chorizo ingredient which drew me to it. The burrito overall was not good. There was no chorizo in it, (it was sausage) which was fine, but over the taste of it just wasn't good. The hash brown tasted like it was from a can and not appealing. I couldn't finish it. First off, we were a little surprised to find that the breakfast menu wasn't available at 11am, and were told there'd be an upcharge if we still wanted to order breakfast items. That felt a bit off, especially since the place still had a brunch-y vibe going on. Service was pretty slow overall, and while the staff was polite, it didn't make up for the lag. The food itself was... fine. Nothing memorable. The kids had eggs and pancakes, which were decent. I had the same, and while the eggs were okay, the sausage looked like it had been sitting around for a while, maybe from the early morning rush? The mahi sandwich was probably the highlight, nicely cooked and flavorful. But with everything we'd heard, we just expected a little more. The Hurricane was always one of our fav's for many years. I took a friend last Wednesday for breakfast. Haven't been in since May and didn't know about all the changes that were made. Place looks real nice, waitress said same owners. That meant to me that the food quality will be the same. Not so! food was like a bad Waffle House. How do you screw up a traditional breakfast meal? Hurricane Cafe has a very friendly and inviting staff who made us feel welcome right away. The atmosphere is pleasant, though the place could use a bit of updating and TLC to freshen it up. The breakfast, however, was fantastic! The omelettes, home fries, and pancakes were all delicious and hit the spot. My father-in-law recommended this spot, and it turned out to be a great choice. The only reason this place had a 4.0 average review is due to the great reviews for Hurricane Cafe. The only reason that I gave a 1 was the waitress who was being trained was so nice. Otherwise I would give a 0. I found a little bug on the noodle in Asian chicken salad. Removed that noodle then saw another bug crawling on another noodle. The bug was the size of a pepper flake. They took my plate to the back and another waitress (not mine) comes back to me and says she didn't see any. That is no way to treat a customer. I then substituted a bowl of chicken soup which I ate even though it was disgusting. Definitely not home made and definitely not Hurricane Cafe quality. If you remove the Hurricane Reviews I am sure yours would be closer to a 1. I advised the nice waitress to find a job elsewhere as soon as possible. PEPPER DOES NOT CRAWL. Customer is always right. To say such things back to me tells me so much about your character. Now I will get others that were so disappointed to write reviews. You should not have accused me of lies. read more

Hurricane Cafe is such a cute restaurant. Its slightly on the smaller side but offers plenty of seating and also outdoor seating as well! While it was very busy, the service was friendly and efficient. The chicken & biscuits with eggs were everything I could have asked for. Imo it's easy to make bare minimum eggs, HOWEVER, it's hard to come by some eggs that stand out and are just absolutely perfect and Hurricane Cafe cooked eggs that stand out from the rest! Nice little place with outdoor and indoor seating plus counter top seating. Great salad menu and delicious fresh salads. I had chicken pesto salad- it was great. Service was friendly. Came in for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised! The restaurant has inside and outdoor seating. Dogs are allowed at the outside tables. For parking, there appears to be ample parking as it's next to cvs. The menu had lots of options, your typical breakfast and some other fun dishes. I kept it simple with egg whites, home fries, and tried their blueberry pancake. Everything was done well. The eggs were fluffy, and the home fries had a great crunch to them! Wowie wow! This place has such an amazing menu! So many salads and sandwiches and appetizers, everything looked so good, it took us over 10 minutes to decide what to even order! But once you order, the food comes out super quickly. I have to go back for almost every item on their menu. I am so happy I found this place. Stopped by here for lunch after touring the loggerhead turtle center next door. This was our first time at the restaurant. Everyone was very friendly. There is a wide and I mean wide selection of food. The amount of salads on the menu is like 15 or so. Prices are very reasonable. My Husband had fish and chips and I believe they were $15 and I had a Grouper Rachel sandwich that was also 15 both came of course with fries and his with coleslaw also. There are choices though instead of fries for sides like fruit, salad, a few others, and sweet potato fries, which were delicious by the way. So all in all a wonderful lunch spot.
