Ramen was alright, egg was over cooked and overall bland but hits the spot if wanting a warm soup when on the slopes. Chicken katsu and sauce were decent, but the rice was either stale or overcooked and the coleslaw wasn't too great. We only ate the protein from the chicken katsu. Probably my favorite spot on the mountain for lunch. Love the Asian inspired options. A nice change from your usual chicken tenders. Our ramen bowls were great, filling, and had a great amount of protein! Perfect to fuel you up to ski more. The views are great too. It's busy, of course. So is everywhere in Breck. It's also not cheap, but so is everywhere in Breck, lol! For what you get, I'd rather pay $20 for a bowl of ramen than a hot dog. So there's that! Two thumbs up! read more

There are nuts in certain things so I'd be careful. They're probably the best place on the mountain to get Americanized Asian food. It's pricey ($20 for a bowl even after Epic Pass discount). The pho we got wasn't really pho, as it had a ton of strange toppings (snap peas, other vegetables) and the noodles were yellow noodles. The dish itself wasn't awful, but definitely wasn't pho. Maybe more like an Asian beef noodle soup, with some Thai spices to add some kick. The chicken rice was also pretty good according to our friend. Awesome view, though. read more

I give it 5 stars because the food is good, PEOPLE this is not a Michelin restaurant and for being on top of the mountain the food they serve is definitely above average. Nothing is cheap anymore after the pandemic !!! read more

I went there during covid so they couldn't really bring out the red carpet. Good service and free cups of water (which is important to keep you hydrated through the high altitude). The prices are as expected but not too ridiculously pricey. The Tenders seemed to have been reheated for distribution, and combined with freshly tasted french fries, they were placed in a take out container and placed on the heater area to keep warm. They had a good clean taste but seemed a tad bit dry. Just as dry as any bar food tender menu item that would reheat it's tenders as opposed to hand making them with fried oil. The french fries were a good complement and the portions altogether seemed to be just enough not to complain about it's quantity. Altogether, pretty good... not fabulous. They also have an abundance of ramen available during these times. read more

Had lunch there and it was good. They have gotten cheap with the amount of broth in the Ramon bowl. The broth in the bowl used to be full and now it's not even half full. Crazy busy in this place! Our seating didn't really overlook anything, there might be good places with good views but it was so crowded, we couldn't see anything. Mostly soups and ramens here, good friendly service, lots of interns here. Overall good experience and great place to break from the cold. read more

The place smells. Sewage venting into dining area. They really gotta work on that. I was in Breck two years ago, and it was an issue then too. I forgot about it until walking in just the other day, and said to myself "really, still?" Go to the Pioneer cafeteria on Peak 8. This "restaurant" has an amazing view due to it's 11,000ft elevation and that's the only thing it has going for it. I'm not sure that you could call it a restaurant since it's entirely cafeteria style, grab a tray and approach the counter to order. We were entirely deceived and not quite expecting just a fast food cafeteria. If you're in the mood for overpriced, greasy and fried food then this is the spot to go. It's nice that they advertise salads, pizza, wraps and grilled chicken sandwiches except for the fact that they were out of all of these "healthier" choices when we stopped there this afternoon around 12:45pm. While it's nearing the end of the ski season, I still believe this is disappointing and ridiculous. I went with the chicken tender basket over the cheeseburger, the only two options available. I can't imagine what the vegetarians settled on! The workers weren't very polite either. Definitely go the courtesy cup route if you want water because water bottles cost $5! I wouldn't choose to dine here again for any reason unless I want to grab a really quick bite or snack to tide me over on the mountain. This restaurant just opened this past year and they have a long way to go to become the best they can. A great view and spot for a photo op but don't even bother trying to eat here if you want a variety of foods or any food selection for that matter. read more

Can't comment on the food. I wish we'd checked Yelp. Hiked up to the Overlook for lunch today. Their website said open til 4 PM. Made it up there and it looked like a ghost town. Nobody in site. Thank God we had 2-3 oz of water left for the hike back to Breck. read more

I think most of the people giving a rating of one, are new to skiing... There aren't luxury restaurants on the top of any mountain... The accommodations at this particular place are wonderful. The food is really good, it is made to order and there are a number of drinks selections. Irish coffee is amazing. I'm not sure what people are looking for when eating or drinking on the top of a snowy peak but anyone whining about the cafeteria atmosphere or "poor customer service" are out of their minds. They probably need to hit another ski mountain or five to see what it's like in comparison. Pretty standard across the million mountains in Colorado. read more

This is the worst customer service I've seen in a long time (other than United Airlines). Brandon Oakley rang me up on the register. After paying nearly $6 for a cup of coffee, I asked for a lid and he said they don't give them out. When I explained that it's not safe for me to walk down a flight of slippery metal stairs carrying a hot cup of uncovered coffee while wearing ski boots, he said "I guess that's just the price you pay." If you like to overpay for shitty food and customer service, then this is definitely your place. read more

The only thing going for this place is it is on the mountain. The food isnt good, the staff aren't friendly or helpful, and the food is overpriced. My wife got the soup that was all broth and no soup and staff were upset that she asked for more. The menu showed items available that when i ordered them, they said they weren't available very rudely and then the manager changed the menu. The manager was also dismissive of our complaints. My suggestion is ski to the base and eat at a restaurant not owned be Breck. read more

This place is very conveniently located, and has ample seating room plus many food options. Although I brought my lunch and only purchased coffee here (which is what I typically do on the mountain), my brother got the pot pie and said it was delicious. I love the fact that there is an entrance on the lower level near the bathrooms for people who want to stop and use them but not sit down or dine. read more

It's a cafeteria - but the options aren't bad - I got a pulled pork sandwich. They had a large selection of snacks. Choose from indoor or outdoor seating. The main draw here is the view. It's situated part way up the mountain, so pick a spot outside with a view! First off, the name is very misleading... I would rename it The Overlook Cafeteria, because that is what it is. There is no service, no bar, no menu items, only baskets of chicken tenders and burgers sitting under heat lamps. They were out of just about everything and it was 1 O'clock in the afternoon. My choices were soup, chili, chicken tenders, or a cheeseburger. They did have a plethora of snack options, all incredibly over priced. This place is highway robbery! I opted for the chicken tenders even though I saw it costed $13. I realize everything is expensive on the mountain but I was able to get a nice burger and fries served to me for cheaper at the base of the mountain at T Bar. I grabbed a bottle of water but ended up putting it back at the register when I found out it was $5. That's worse than stadium pricing! I couldn't believe people were buying the water when you could just get it for free at the pop machine. I added a cookie for $5, probably should have asked how much that costed too but it was already too late. I really just couldn't believe how expensive everything was for being in a cafeteria when there is multiple bar restaurants around the mountain with cheaper food that is served to you, cooked to order, not sitting under a lamp. I suppose it was my own fault, but I will not be back the rest of the trip that's for sure. Yes, the view was nice but I get the same view while skiing all day. Really nothing special about the food, the majority of what they sell is pre-packaged anyway and the hot food is nothing out of the ordinary for a cafeteria.
