This is a cute little cafe tucked back off the main river run area. The service is good as is the food. We have only come for breakfast, so I can't speak to their cocktails. Came here for lunch after a blue bird day. Will say, the food is really good...and you pay extra for eating on the resort. I had a BLT and I loved it. But I didnt love paying $15+ for it. Cool little (and I do mean little) cafe. Food is made fresh on premises. I had a pressed ham/egg/cheese croissant sandwich which turned out to be very good and wasn't just reheated in a microwave. Love this spot. Friendly service and great vegetarian and vegan options. Close to the slops. Interior has a nice dinner vibe with pics of famous musicians. Another one of my favorite places in Keystone. A local staple for as long as I can remember. The sandwiches are all musical artists themed and bonus if you can guess everyone's mug hanging above the kitchen! They serve breakfast, brunch and lunch with a wide selection of beverages and full bar. Love the Nutella waffle with banana and mick jagger. They also have vegan and vegetarian options! read more

Not worth it. Over priced and zero service. Food was okay. Ambiance is cool however for a family of 4 to have a breakfast burrito, waffles, croissant and biscuits with gravy to cost $160 is seriously overpriced. Coffee that you have to serve yourself was okay, nothing special. You will also have to pickup your food at the counter when ready. Plus chocolate milk is just a bottle of Nesquik from their fridge. The cost doesn't match the food and lack of service. read more

Lesley W. knows what's up! Easily one of my favorite spots in River Run. Off the main drag a bit so a lot quieter. Outdoor and indoor seating. Excellent food and great portions/prices. A must visit for your next Keystone ski or board trip. Outdoor seating is nice and sunny. Believe they have a few umbrellas but I didn't see any on my last visit. Menus outside so you can get an idea of what is available. Breakfast all day I might add! Indoor seating has a few lower tables and a higher table. Plenty of room for your ski boots and helmets. Leave your skis outside but that should be a given. Wine. Champagne. Beer. Liquor. Coffee. Tea. Hot Chocolate. Awesome deals and the happy hour prices are even sweeter. Vegetarian options. Meat lover options. Sandwiches. Breakfast bowls. Honestly I was impressed compared to other nearby food options. Not to mention the price and portions. Not too much where you feel sick and too full to ski. Nice portion and a great mid day lunch break or end of the day bite before driving home. Staff was cheerful and talkative too. Lot of other spots in the area treat you like a nuisance. Was glad I stopped in here and will return with friends on all subsequent Keystone visits. read more

We stopped by for cocktails to go after a day of enjoying snowboarding at Keystone. We both opted for the margarita, which has fresh mango, lime, and orange juice. The service was quick, friendly, and didn't require us to stand more than 1 foot inside, the doors were open. The margaritas were dangerously delicious, and we barely made it to the nearby outdoor fire pit before we finished our refreshing drinks. I was expecting sky high prices, because it's a resort, but I was pleasantly surprised by the price, the care taken with covid safety, and the perfectly balanced sweet and tart margarita. read more

40 dolalrs for a cold waffle and a breakfast sandwitch with coffee and hot chocolate. Coffee was bitter and small. The breakfast sandwitch was overcooked. There was not soft part to the bun, it was crisp all the way through. I went here years ago and had good memories. read more

We stopped in here looking for a quick place to grab breakfast. New moon cafe does not have servers, so instead you order at the counter and they call your name when your order is up. A bit cramped for all of the walking back and forth to the table, but it works. Honestly, by the look of the place I wasn't expecting much from the food, but it ended up being pretty delicious. I went with the breakfast sandwich and choose a croissant with egg, cheese and ham, added spinach and added avocado for $2 more. My mother got the croissant French toast which I ended up finishing off for her and loved, and my brother seemed to enjoy his waffle. New moon cafe is definitely a no frills place, but it's perfect for a quick breakfast and they do offer a Bloody Mary bar as well! read more

We loved the decor and really wanted to love the place Great music is playing and you can lounge on couches while having a bite. Unfortunately, that is where the charm ends. The pictures of food are wonderful, but what was delivered was not up to par. The food is overpriced, not well prepared, garnishes are stingy, the food was not well seasoned, and service is slow. My wife ordered the "jumbo" waffle for $8 and wanted to add the fresh strawberries for $2. See the picture someone else posted on Yelp, it just looks amazing. We were expecting a dinner plate sized waffle with abounding amounts of berries and whipped cream. Take a look at the picture we posted to see what we got. The Waffle House is much more generous with toppings and is more concerned with presentation. What was worse was the flavor. The batter had been over mixed and thinned to the point that it wasn't fluffy. The waffle was crisp and see-through in places. I ordered the Breakfast Burrito with Chorizo for $8 and asked if it came smothered. The girl looked at me and after a bit of a pause said, sure we can do that for you and punched in another $2 on the register. Again, see the picture we posted for "smothered". If there was cheese anywhere in or on the burrito, I couldn't detect it. The burrito was grilled, but the potato and sausage inside were virtually flavorless. Add one cup of weak coffee and the grand total came to just under $26 before tip. This was our first and last trip to New Moon, I would recommend it to no one. read more

Ugh, that was the saddest breakfast I had in a long time. Ordered 2 breakfast bowls and one sunny side up eggs with bacon. $40. Instead of sunny side up got scrambled. Fine. But It was cold! All our food was cold. As well as I I suspect they have powdered eggs (yuck!). Utensils were so dirty that we used plastic ones, thank goodness there were some. They seemed to have no idea what ticket they were working on until one of their many buddies came in... those orders seemed to be done in a couple minutes. Love this place! Always a great time in here! The owner always has made me feel important. She was also very diligent through Covid and making sure her costumers and staff were safe health wise. We had the Belgian Waffles which were excellent. This place is top of the line. Great food, great prices and Happy Hour. Be sure to check out all the pictures fellow Yelper's have posted. Couldn't see any reason to add any more. We were extremely happy and the only thing keeping us from going back the next day was unfortunately we had to go back home. We love Keystone and will be back next year. This Cafe will be one of our first stops so that we will have time to visit more than once. Very casual, quick food, and tasty portions. The breakfast panini's stood out to us, so we each got one. Jess had a Bloody Mary and I had a mimosa, They have a build your own bar for the former with generous options. It's a great spot to grab something quick to start you day. New Moon was so chill. Really a great vibe in Keystone, as some of the places feel a bit on the cold side with service. All the people I met here were very nice and made great recommendations. They also have some badass music. The best part of New Moon are the beverage specials. I had a delicious Colorado cider, and some hot drinks all on special for $5 or under. The food left a little to be desired, but I also somehow ended up there when they were closing the kitchen both times. So, I give them some credit there. $3 canned craft beers from 3-5. That's the only reason to go here. The atmosphere is terrible, and the staff basically drove us out. When you start blasting "Closing Time" that's a little passive aggressive. It was 5:10 and we were trying to finish $30 worth of beer, give me a break. The lady at the counter was very nice, which makes me feel bad about giving 2 stars, but this place really doesn't have much going for it. We went here because I googled "best happy hour in Keystone" and this is what came up. If this truly is the best happy hour in Keystone, there is a HUGE market niche that needs to be filled. read more
