The hot dog was just ok-- it's just Kraft Mac and cheese and the hefty serving makes it impossible to actually pick up and eat. The sandos were fantastic though. I love that they took the time to toast the pita for the gyro, and it was filled with the perfect balance of gyro meat, sauce and veggies. Two of us shared one and felt quite full after. The proverbial 'Hole in the wall' describes this small deli on the main downtown street of Frisco. Don't expect a comfortable chair or table. If you decide to eat there, you'll be perched on a backless stool near the front window and provided with plastic forks and paper-lined baskets. We stopped in Frisco on the way to Denver airport from Breckenridge and wanted a quick bite. We were pleasantly surprised when this place offered such a surprisingly good and quick bite. Luckily, I am one of the few people who still carries cash. The owner needs to move into the 2000's and invest in Apple Pay or just a debit/credit card scanner. If his problem is the credit card company charge, raise the prices 3%. It appears from other reviews, that offering credit cards will cause customers to offer ratings more about the food than the cash issue. My two cents...(in cash). The Reuben and chili dog were both top-notch. The buns are either extremely fresh or they steam them. Either way, that, along with lean meat, sets Deli Belly's apart from most. I ordered a turkey sandwich with turkey, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, bacon, and a little mayo. I got a lettuce sandwich with a little bit of everything else. On top of that, the turkey was on the dry side and the service wasn't good. The lady behind the counter slid a sandwich with banana peppers toward me. "I ordered bacon." "No, you ordered banana peppers." I calmly pointed to the receipt to show where she scribbled the word "bacon." She didn't apologize and seemed frustrated that a new sandwich needed to be remade. This establishment is a joke, the only reason this dump is still in business is because of their cash only policy which is just an excuse to misreport income and avoid paying taxes on their earnings. This is the kind of place that looks good at first glance on Yelp. It's in Frisco on the main strip. The menu is huge, the inside order space in small, if there are more than 4 customers, the line will be out the door. It's cash only and heaven help you if you don't have telepathy and automatically know this. The guy (? owner) shouted CASH ONLY! at me when I had my card out for payment. Not sure what I did to gain his wrath. I thought about leaving right then, but I was ordering for 2 others and didn't want to disappoint them. They don't really tell you what happens after you pay and tip. I kinda hung out and felt lost. In that time, I noticed how truly filthy this place is. I accidentally went down the hall by the soda machine looking for a restroom. Yikes! Not sure how they pass any health inspections - I'll leave it at that for you to check out at your leisure. No signs or help for this one, but you have to go outside to the pick up window to get your sandwiches. It takes about 15 minutes. We ordered egg salad and turkey sandwiches for the crew. They are big, mounded with veggies and the egg salad was more like a soup. One bite and you are wearing your sandwich. I wanted to support local and like this place. Can't manage to put the ingredients actually in the bread, cheese stuck to the tin foil they wrapped it in and all tore off with it. I'm NY born and raised walking into this place felt a little intimidating for some reason and that was surprising to me. Staff is not super social in their demeanor and I think it's just a personality or maybe even a shtick. The sandwich I ordered with some exclusions was made right didn't dissapoint and it was all gobbled up by my hungry family. We had ordered the largest capicola with provolone which came with a pickle as others said. This is definitely the type of food best eaten right away so all the toppings do not mess up the bread. I could tell the family running this deli puts a lot of energy into their business. I definitely didn't think they were cutting corners as it all seemed fresh to us.
