I'm not sure what the negative reviews are about, they did a much better job than Les Schwab; those idiots are always damage wheels and use an impact on the highest setting and strip your lug nuts like it's their job. If I could give this place no stars I would, went in for a simple tire rotation left with part of my break assembly broken and a horrible grinding noise when I drive. They grinded things down and removed my tire weights without consulting me. On top of that they had terrible communication skills and the woman owner was extremely rude. Im really disappointed in this place first off yes I bought a use set of tires off of market place I asked this place to try and fit them on as I have not run these tires before they took one look at them told me they will fit and they want to change me 72 $ to balance them i said ok so they will fit no problem sure let's do it they get them on said its good to go i start backing my car out and its like the brakes are on like what the heck the rims are eating in to my front shocks they they proceed to tell me I need spacer because its rubbing i said I thought you said they fit no problem im angry at this point said whatever they changed me 138$ for spacer long story short they sent me on the way got a bad vibration one my way home call them up tired around took it back they take one of the wheels off try to tell me its bent i start looking at the spacer they sold me they don't even fit the hub on the vehicle not being able to center correctly i told them this and they but it back together told me to bring it back they are going to order the parts charge me more money they sent me on my way i got back on the freeway the car was unsafe to drive the back passenger side tire come to find out had come loose from the vibration I towed the vehicle to a shop in Redmond oregon had them put of new tires on my old rims saw tire was looses had cut the boot on my rear shock and messed up my lug nuts that had to be fixed i call the guy tell them I want my money back for the stuff and the issue I had tells me he can give me store credit i said no thanks I will never come back again they sent me in a unsafe situation with the tires not being mounted correctly on the car read more

A year ago, I purchased some tires and was very happy. However... Buyer beware!!!!! Do your online Shopping This shop sold me some New (2 years old) Petlas W651 Snow Masters which are low-end tires and at most about $58-78 a tire. He charged me $168 M/B each, I compared it to Americas/Costco and I could have saved over $200.00. I feel they are taking advantage. Please do your homework on line and at Americas Tire/Costco. The other guys prices are nearly double without any warranty and support. I do take responsibility for failing to complete due diligence and shopping around to ensure I was not paying hundreds of extra unnecessary dollars from a hole in the wall establishment. They said they had some nice good years with a lot of life left. I then settled on a price and the tires. I went to go pick up the car and they said "oh the good years weren't good after all so we put on some other ones". Not even so much as a call to let me approve the transaction. Used to love these guys. But after they cross threaded three lug nuts mounting my snow tires and charged me over $100 to fix the studs because "this happens all the time?" Nope. Actually it does not. But if it does at this tire shop, maybe that's the problem. Their problem I just paid for. I passed on the offer of "maybe we can work something out" if I drive home, dig up my paper receipt or find the bank transaction and drive back on another day off when they are open to prove they actually mounted the tires. Well, the place looks like a dump, but with tires. You can barely make it past the front door to what passes for a counter. Parking? Good luck - they're changing tires in some of the spots. This is not Les Schwab. So what. You're probably here because you have a problem with your tires and need it resolved quickly. I know I was. Two flat tires - one completely destroyed. If you bring you vehicle to this place, be prepared to deal with the biggest bunch of jerks and flat out idiots you've ever met. This is one of those small shops that thinks there is always another customer right around the corner and they don't care one little bit about how they act, talk or represent themselves. First I spent 10 minutes on the phone listening to them run around cussing while they tried to find a phone that worked. Then when they quoted me literally three times the amount that anyone else quoted , I asked if it was a mistake. I was told to "go some fucking place else" and hung up on. Go here at your own risk. This place disappointed me on every level. I brought in my spare alloy wheel for my sprinter van. All I wanted was a spare tire mounted and balanced. They installed a used tire they had and I paid and left. After returning home I realized they installed a very poor quality tire. They did Not balance it, and they damaged my wheel. I don't live in Bend so I have no recourse but to find another tire and have it installed. There is no way I can recommend this business to anyone. But they didn't fix anything, they had her using it during that time. Did not have a good experience here. Had some good tires on (all weather but with the snowflake). Asked them if there was something better for specifically winter. Originally estimated 240-250 for 4 tires (used). Then said since I had front wheel drive, I could just put two tires on the front and that would be 110 total. Then said (and this is actually correct). That they cannot legally put just 2 winter tires on. That's fine, except 4 tires would cost 350. So way above any other cost they mentioned. I decided to do it, and the new (used) tires were way worse than what I was using! I was sliding everywhere and could barely stay on the road. I immediately went back a few hours later, and that said there was nothing they could do. They said I could change them back for 70 dollars, and return them minutes the labor initially to install and minus a restocking fee. Id be fine paying them something for the labor to switch back and forth, but the fact they would not work with me at all and were also going to charge a restocking fee is ludicrous. The tires they recommended performed significantly worse than my previous, and their original quote over the phone was 100 dollars less than they ended up charging me. What a scam. Blew a tire that wasn't repairable, and Les Schwab said I had to get four new tires (all wheel drive - something about uneven tread would mess up the drive train) but the Other guys had the same tire, used, with very similar wear, so instead of laying out a grand, I paid $70. Long story short, I got a flat tire on my Mini Cooper Countryman on Saturday evening of Labor Day weekend. I have no spares, only run-flats, and the gash was pretty bad. I was on a road trip on my way back to the SF Bay Area. Called the Redmond Walmart and the Bend Costco, and they didn't have my tire (225 45R18) in stock. Every person I spoke to in the area told me the larger tire places wouldn't be open until Tuesday, and it was looking like we were going to be stranded in Bend until at least Tuesday morning. Someone literally told me "It's Sunday on a holiday weekend in a redneck town!" I decided to try my luck by calling every place on Yelp, even if they were supposed to be closed on Sunday. Fortunately, the owner here picked up my call (I think it was his cell number), and he had my size. He changed my tire for me and charged us a more than reasonable rate. Thank you so much!! FWIW, the innkeeper at Wall St Suites 2 blocks away, where I stayed Saturday night, also said that these guys are great. read more

And luckily I told them about it and gave me a quote price and upped it when I got there they are not reliable and just overworking themselves and all over the place and that's how things get messed up and the nozzles on my air pump for the tires are missing .. like I do not recommend this place read more

WOW! these guys saved us!!! We were stopping by Bend, OR on my way to a job promotion in the state of WA (from CA). My mom, blinded by the sun drove my car into a curb and destroyed a tire. At this point I was certain we were doomed, but Bend showed their community is ready to help a stranger in need. Not even 15 minutes later, staff from The Other Guy's Tires were on scene. In less than an hour we were in and out. The site itself just displays this wonderful sense of family. Never in California have we ever had service of this speed and quality. Its a shame I am not local or this would be my sole go-to tire place. Anyone reading this and debating where to go, you owe it to yourself to give these wonderful people your business. I am sitting here while a very nice man is mounting my tires. This is something special mainly due to how CRAPPY Costco tires treated me and how much of my time they waisted. Spending a ton of money on tires and then getting nothing but smug mansplaining from dudes that wouldn't be able to do half the stuff in one day that this little girl does in a morning leaves me with a bad taste. And then you come to The Other Guys. And they are nice. And efficient. And inexpensive. It's like chicken soup for my weary soul. So I reckon that I should thank Costco for helping me find a good business here in town that I maybe never would have discovered had they been anything but absolute a&&holes. I visited this store several months ago when I needed to replace a tire. They gave me a good price, and I left happy. Today I went in to have my snow tires put on and ended up waiting eleven hours after being quoted a four hour wait. I was there before the store opened and had about 10 people in front of me. Once the store opened, it took an hour to get them my keys as the process to taking information was not efficient, and phone calls were being fielded with one person working. Once I got to the front they quoted me a four hour wait. I was able to walk a few miles to work and then headed back to pick up my car after the four hours, my car was not done. I then waited another 2 hours before having to leave and meet a friend for dinner. As I was leaving, they assured me my car was next and they were going out to get it. When I returned 3 hours later, my car had not moved. They had lost my keys. Eventually, they found my keys (the kids who play behind the counter all day had kicked them to the ground and under the rug). They then started working on the car. One person was working and 3 were standing behind him watching. My keys were lost again in the process of changing the tires, but then were found. At no point did they apologize or acknowledge how long I had been waiting. The cost was $68 to switch them out, so I did not save any money. read more

Well I hate to do this guys but B U Y E R B E W A R E !!! I went to The Other Guys from a friends referral and I've ended up paying double in the long run! First of all they sold me used tires that had a good tread for $45 but little did I know they were over 10 yrs old (one was 1998!) Les Schwabb has sold me used for $25 before btw. So no one can legally work on tires that old, which I had not clue about. I couldn't get my summer / winter switch anywhere. Then after I bought them, I got a flat tire a week later; then (I kid you not) I got A N O T H E R flat tire two weeks later from the other tire. I've never gotten flats for no reason before; there were no nails etc... I think it's because of the age. When I went back again, because I had to, he sold me another used tire and I walked out of the house today and I had another F LA T ! He also got angry that I was angry at him. Hmmm. Needless to say, won't go back. Went to Discount tire today and they totally took care of me really really inexpensively (new tires for price of his old used ones, hello) and had excellent customer service.
