These guys are sooooo friggin' awesome. My 6.0 went down and I was afraid to find out what it could be (if you have one you know the feeling). They diagnosed as it being the FICM and got it swapped out in record time to get me back on the road. My son's truck was dying and restart after 10 minutes. First shop can't find anything wrong. We put a fuel filter as when we serviced it and didn't do then. Still dies. $180 took to performance authority suggested fuel pump. They didn't test ride or diagnose just installed. $570. Son test rode and didn't die but became sluggish and lost power. Two weeks later they diagnosed saying they called my son which no messages. He has a cracked intake manifold. Also switch, solenoid and gasket kit. Total $1,060. So far he has $740 in a truck worth $2,000. So I asked front desk person if it's permissible for me to round up parts to lesson the cost as im a parts person and my son isnt rich. He said he understood and yes. Instead of $500 in parts i got them for $130 ebay and salvage yard. Cheap but selling when done. Called a week later to see if they got parts ok. No i asked if I could call the next day yes. That call he got the owner or manager on and said i was pushy and they ate not a parts department. Pickup my truck and hung up. 45 years in parts and service ive never had this bogus of a conflict. Gave it one day and called back. Three times in one day they wouldnt pickup to see if all.parts are in and is there a bill pending and do we have to tow??? Called on my work phone twice asking for owner and was in hold as he was in then saying he wasnt. My son went to shop physically got all parts no bill( surprise) and they said the truck had to bevtowed as it is apart. Tiwed to another shop. All intact and stRts and two test rides runs good. $160. So $1,040 for all and it was a fuel pump. They didn't test etc. All the gut wrenching frustration. Misunderstanding and the worst customer service ever. This guy should be avoided and hopefully goes belly up for all we went thru. read more

My Powerstroke diesel truck was shifting erratically so I took it to Performance Authority Diesel. They diagnosed it as a problem with the aftermarket Gear Vendor overdrive unit. I was told that the mechanic didn't like them and the only way to fix the shifting problem was to remove it. That means removing all the electronics and getting a new driveline and tail piece to the transmission. That seemed a little severe so I took it to another shop. They fixed the problem which was a voltage drop because of the LED taillights I had installed. I feel like not only did I pay $145 for nothing, but because of this mechanic's bias against Gear Vendor I almost removed a perfectly good overdrive unit. I would have rather been told that he wasn't sure or that he thought it may be the Gear Vendor than to say for sure that was the problem. I rely on the Gear Vendor for towing and he almost convinced me to get rid of it when there was nothing wrong with it. I'm glad my reluctance to take their advice saved them the issue of removing the Gear Vendor only to have it NOT correct the shifting problem. read more

These guys are AMAZING!! They went above and beyond when our truck conked out in route to Montana with our horse trailer. We showed up at closing on a Friday evening and they stayed several hours after closing and got our truck fixed and all of us back on the road. Ok where do we start. First, these guys looked at my truck super last minute during one of the busiest moments in Oregon history--- during the pre eclipse traffic. My 09 duramax was throwing codes and spewing out black smoke, and was in limp mode. It was really bad. They did a manual regen to it, which seemed like a last ditch effort. It wasn't easy and there were blips but they FIXED IT !!! Now I'm off with my 5th wheel and not stranded in Bend. These guys are the best diesel guys in OR!!!!!!! read more

These guys are old school. They know diesels, and they don't mess around. Don't expect a pretty nicely decorated shop... what you will see is experienced mechanics, a bit greasy and getting work done. Get an appointment early, they are busy and booked well in advance... but when they get your vehicle they get it done. My '06 F250 6.0L diesel had a dying EGR system, and some issues with the turbo. They turned it all around quickly, and my truck runs better now than it did the day it was new. I highly recommend these guys. read more

We were quoted a certain amount to have our fuel filter changed on our Dodge Ram Diesel-they also told us if we paid cash we would get a nice discount-this was the week before Christmas so we were stoked about the discount. My husband pulled the cash out of savings and went to pick up the truck when it was done-when they told him the amount due it was $100 more than they had quoted-when my husband brought that to their attention they guy just looked at him-so he ended up having to pay the balance on his credit card-they ended up giving him a 3.00 discount and said it would have been more if he had paid all cash-well when you tell somebody it is going to be one price and catch them off guard when he goes to pick it up, it is likely he isn't going to have the right amount of cash-just absurd- when my husband went back to work and told the guys about it, one of his co-workers said that they had done this to him and would never go back. We will never go back -that is for sure. read more

Do not go here! This was the worst place i have ever taken my truck. The people were uneducated and extremely unreliable and difficult to work with. They had my truck for over a month, racked up a huge bill to $5800 that was completely unnecessary, and still didn't fix my truck. I had to take it to another mechanic and pay even more. They just fix parts without knowing that its the problem and give you no warning and then way over charge you. I am advising you and please tell your friends do not go here you will be taken advantage of and extremely over charged. Beware! read more
