I stopped in to grab a couple donuts to take with me to a meeting I had nearby. I've been meaning to give this spot a try for a long time because I've heard good things about this family owned spot. They didn't disappoint! They had a nice, clean, little store with a wide array of donuts to choose from. It was hard to make a decision! Once I finished agonizing over what I wanted to take to my meeting I got a cinnamon roll, chocolate glazed, regular glazed, and raspberry jelly filled assortment. I was treated with patience and kindness by the folks working the counter and I was in and out very quickly despite my indecision. Highly recommend this place for flavorful fluffy donuts. I will be back!

Aww rainbow donuts, always a fav. Today we stopped by store going to kids workshop at Home Depot. Always good service and good donuts. Just quiet little donut shop putting some of the best donuts. Today we got a cinnamon donut, maple bacon, chocolate long john, chocolate with M&Ms, and some donut holes.

Light decadent and fluffy donuts. That how I would describe the donuts at The Original Rainbow Donut shop. Truly the best donut shop in town. I'm sure I've write a few reviews on other donut shop is town. But I think this one takes the cake quite literally. I've always had an addiction to donuts. But these simply the best and there are lots unique variations, and spins on the doughnut at Rainbow Donuts. This is family owned business and it's clear that they take pride in their work. The shops very clean and well maintained. The service is excellent and straight forward. No obnoxious tip hunting here... you just buy your donuts and you're on your way. Great place!!! I'll be back again!!

Sun was rising in the east. Fresh scent of donuts greeted me as I entered Original Rainbow Donut. Place has that old school donut shop feel. I found out they have been in operation for 16 years. I notice lots of classic donuts. Prices were also from the old days. Glazed donut was fluffy and sweet. Great tasting classic donut. Apple fritter tasted mostly of sugar. One of the sweetest donuts I've ever tried. Glad I picked the small one. I prefer my apple fritter with 80% less sugar and more apple bits. There were a few pieces of apple but I couldn't taste them through the sugar. Next time I'll have to try a cake donut.

All of their donuts are cooked in 100% soybean oil, which is not a good thing. Try using canola or olive oil to make it healthier. If your allergic to soy or have an intolerance, then avoid this standard Asian donut shop. Also there is an angry kid working there, who never smiles.

I come here for one specific item only, the apple fritter. If you are going to go off your diet, make it count. This is from heaven! I've only had their non-fancy donuts which are fresh and delicious. I've always found them to have friendly and fast service. These are donuts that Homer and Chief Wiggum would endorse.

Crumb donut, old fashioned, Boston cream.

I was waiting for Zia Records to open in this plaza when I noticed Lucky Donuts in the corner and I just had to come in and get a couple for breakfast. This shop is simple enough where you enter, see a ton of donuts, a case full of drinks, and some other random stuff, but mostly I'm just here for the donuts. The employee working was super freaking friendly and ended up giving me a free donut because I had to wait for literally one minute for her to come up, which is 100% absolutely not a problem at all, but it was super sweet of her anyway. I ended up ordering a glaze crawler and a chocolate frosted donut as well, and I think the free one was maple glazed if I'm not mistaken. All three of the donuts were top notch delicious and I can't think of a single non positive thing to say. For it being later in the afternoon, I was actually surprised by how many donut options they still had, pretty much the full lineup! The shop itself looked clean and well-kept, which is always a good start. The employee behind the counter was a bit standoffish, not rude or anything, just not super warm. but hey, maybe it was a long day, so I didn't take it personally. I picked up an assorted half dozen to try a little bit of everything. That's where things got a little mixed. About half the donuts were great, soft, fresh, and hit that perfect sweet spot. The other half? Pretty dry and tasted a bit like leftovers from the day before (or maybe even the day before that). So, I'm on the fence. If I come back, I'll probably stick with the classics instead of the "fun" or seasonal ones, and maybe swing by earlier in the morning when everything's freshly made. I wouldn't cross this place off completely. Just might need to catch them at their best time of day.

We had the place to ourselves and I perused their display case. They had some interesting flavors and I only wanted 3, but their menu prices reflected 6 or 12 ($18 and $30 respectively). I asked if 3 would be $9, and the employee said yes. I chose their ube, Vietnamese coffee, and black sesame with raspberry. Other flavors included gochujang caramel, almond joy, churro, and blueberry crumble. It was hard choosing flavors cuz they all sounded great. I was rung up for 3 single donuts ($3.50 ea) and asked if that was correct. The employee said yes, as only the half dozen and dozen are discounted. I was tempted to get another 3 donuts but decided against it. We sampled the donuts after finishing our early dinner and the texture was spot on: light, chewy, and delicious. They're so fun and easy to eat too; you can pick off the balls and share them (if you want). Each of the toppings should differentiate the tastes, since the donut base is the same, but honestly none of them had strong flavors which was disappointing. The black sesame seeds did were the most flavorful, but not all of the balls had the seeds on them. Since I enjoy these donuts so much, I'd come back again, although not too often due to the price point.
