My husband spotted this place when I was stopping for milk at the grocery store. We hadn't had breakfast, and the thought of fresh bagels just called to us. We picked out half a dozen (the cherry was my favorite), took our coffee out by the pool, and enjoyed a really great breakfast. I love the dense "chewiness" that you don't find in the store brands. They were dense, flavorful, and just as good toasted or not. There's nothing special about the ambience, but the owner is funny, friendly and provides great customer service. read more

I'm surprised that the other reviews were so favorable!! I'm always on a quest for a NY bagel and these are not it. They are way too chewy, maybe I came in too late but it was around 10am. I had a garlic bagel and instead of using real garlic it's like they use garlic powder? Weird. Also I had garlic herb cream cheese and I kept tasting pumpkin which did not go well with my garlic garlic bagel. My mom had a cinnamon raisin bagel and it didn't taste like anything least of all cinnamon. Ambiance was non existent. I wanted to like it but I can say for certain I will not be back. read more

I was craving some yummy, hearty bagels and found this wonderful mom and pop shop (those are usually the best!). This place has a huge selection of cream cheese and bagel flavors, as well as a variety of breakfast and lunch sandwiches. You can tell this place is a local favorite as their lines are pretty long and you can smell the freshly made bagels as soon as you walk into the door. I ended up ordering the Nova Lox while my friend ordered "The Vegetarian" but she wanted to get salmon and other vegetables on there too LOL so it's great they are able to customize the bagel sandwiches also to your liking! You can tell these bagels are made fresh as they don't feel very dense.. soft, fluffy and flavorful. I stopped by today and was immediately greeted, the staff is always so friendly. This is my favorite bagel shop I only come here ever since I found it. They are amazing. The ambiance is also nice in here very clean and organized. The food is always so amazing. As the per usual my go to is the BLT no mayonnaise sub jalapeño cream cheese and add onion, on the jalapeño cheddar bagel YUM! My man gets the same as me but he adds turkey and avocado on his. Then I always order half dozen of the Jalapeño cheddar bagel with tub of cream cheese the Jalapeño kind. Soooo good! They never disappoint. I did have one bad instance with the cream cheese molding very quickly ( Never has happened to me before so I was shocked ) however, they were quick to assist me with this issue on a replacement with no problem and they apologized about it happening. I cannot complain about anything at this place as I mentioned they are top notch and amazing. I know some things can happen in the food industry so it did not bother me at all. They were so sweet and understanding as well. They also accept apple pay here which is very convenient. Thank you guys for being AWESOME! I will continue to keep coming here. read more

I'm conflicted on this spot. They offer lots of different bagel options and prices are on par. I ordered a nova lox sandwich and a few plain bagels with cream cheese. The sandwich was good as were the plain bagels. While I was sitting waiting for my order there was 2 guys that came in and one was using his phone camera as a magnifying glass to see the menu. There was a man, I assume the owner who came from the back asking pretty rudely to the guy why he had his phone out and what is he recording? The guy let him know and he just kinda scoffed like he didn't believe him and walked away. As a small business owner I recommend taking a different approach next time you run into this situation. That interaction although not towards me left a sour taste in my mouth and if he's like that to customers I hope he treats his employees way better. read more

These are some good bagels and worth the 25 minute drive. I'm probably coming back tomorrow. I love bagels they are my favorite food. And they have some bagel flavors you don't find at chains. They have cranberry bagels, I originally got it with butter, then I saw they had vanilla cream cheese so I asked to switch it really quick. They were very accommodating. However the lady at counter did t hear me say vanilla. So I just scraped off the regular and put the French vanilla shmear and I'm telling you that's where it's at!! There seem to be a lot of regulars, I think the lady taking order's name is Mia. She's excellent at customer connection. I've heard her have conversations with several customers and they seem to know her and she knows them. I love seeing that. Great place for bagels!! And they display kid's art along the hallway to the restroom. It's so cute! *** Came a second day in a row and I got the asigo bagel -they were out of Swiss. Einstein's is my regular stop but the quality and service has deteriorated, so I'm looking around. The Nova Lox was very good, I like the addition of cucumber on this one, which most places don't have. It's a nice touch. They were a little skimpy on the lox, but overall it was a nice sandwich. The attention to detail on this drink was amazing the emulsion before being stirred was beautiful as is the bright orange tone when mixed! For a few years now, we've been getting our Saturday morning breakfast from that chain bagel place - you know the one. I finally got tired of having to remake my Nova lox sandwich because they were using bad tomatoes, a tiny sliver of onion and usually it was part onion skin, and having either too many or not enough capers. So I convinced the hubby to try somewhere new. Bagel Gourmet is definitely further away, but not unreasonable, so hubby didn't mind driving over there while I was still lying in bed. His breakfast sandwich of choice is a sausage, egg and cheese on an everything bagel. At the other place, he always gets an extra egg, but said with the size of the bagels here, he didn't need it. He did like this one better. My Nova lox was so good. Fresh ingredients make all the difference. Bagel Gourmet does include cucumbers and they make it as an actual sandwich, not open-faced, but it was delicious! And bonus, the sandwiches were actually a little cheaper at Bagel Gourmet than they are at the chain too, so I'm pretty sure this will be our new go-to for Saturday morning. read more

Convenient yes but bagels tasted off, though it was toasted the outside tasted kind of hard and inside was was dense. We tried 3 kinds of bagel, everything, garlic and tomato pesto. Only the tomato pesto wasn't cut in half and was the worse. My Chinese wife loves any type of bread and loves bagels. But she threw away more than half her tomato pesto away! That says a lot.
