Empanada and bagel
Sundeep I.

Had high hopes after looking at the pictures. But quite disappointed. They tried to make the place look pretty but somehow it didn't get that fancy ambiance. Service is just ok. No proper recommendation or guidance. Coffee was decent although it costed $10. And better not to talk about food as it was the worst. Bagel would have been better if I bake it on my own who doesn't know how to bake. Empanadas were bad too. I might try their pasties next time to see if they are good

Thursday early evening visit, the bakery appeared clean. They were out of the drink I originally wanted so I had an agua fresca. Two tres leches were purchased, original and strawberry, a ham and cheese empanada, and a cake pop. The tres leches were somehow dry as well as bland. For an item that has three milks one would think dry cake wouldn't happen. The worker said all of the cake pops were vanilla, the one received was not vanilla. The mystery flavor cake pop tasted fine though. The empanada was greatly lacking filling, not much cheese nor ham was actually inside of it. This was my first visit and I'm in no hurry to return.

Cielito is bakery that is exquisitely designed and features a whole slew of items to choose from. Unfortunately, I wish that the quality of the goods were as good as the atmosphere and customer service. I tried out a cheesecake, churro, jello, and choco flan. Each of the bakery items tasted very old. It's as if the food item was left out in the open for 24 hours straight. None of it tasted particularly fresh. The jello even had a piece of oreo on top which not only was super soggy but did not even mix well with the fruit flavor of the jello. In essence, I think this business needs to re-evaluate its product and focus on selling a smaller amount of items and excelling at it. Right now, they sell a large variety and none of them are particularly good. These items cost me $17.22.

Tried the guava cookies for about $5 for 4 homemade cookies. It is one of the more expensive items, but the cookies tasted very fresh and ths guava filling was bright and fruity.

First of all shut your face, this place is unreal! When you walk in you're greeted with puffy pink clouds, pink neon, pink packaging, pink straws. Pink is the best color, and apparently the color of love here in this bakery. Even the straws are special in their own way. We got the tres leches strawberry cake and the choco flan. I got a Carmel brown sugar iced coffee situation to go with my flan. We met Pennia who was the best. She was so fun and helpful. She told us about all the everything they offered and even agreed for a photo shoot. The coffee was made so well it was stupid perfect. So glad we took a visit here today. It was stunning inside and is a true hidden gem in Phoenix. Well done everyone, we will absolutely tell everyone we know about this place yeehaaa!

Trying to support Latina owner Small Business on this Small Business Saturday 2025. W gave been here before and it looks like they have let it go. The place needs a rehaul in cleanliness. Cookies (Besitos de Nuez) Wedding Cookies, sadly were stale. Drinks were delicious. By the way, we were trying to drive through after 5 minutes if what we felt we were being ignored we decided to go in. Not the friendliest muchachitas. Sadly açaí , we would like to support Latina owned business but we all have to do our part. Please take pride mijas in your hard earned business

Fast, friendly and the vanilla Rosa coffee is DELISH. A friend told me about this place. Right down the street from my house! I'll be here often.

First time visiting this charming bakery; lots of options of very appealing sweets (breads, muffins, cookies, pastries) & coffee drinks make the perfect combo for an am charge or a pm treat! Service inside was super sweet & helpful too! I'm glad I walked in bc the decor was beyond adorable. But it's super convenient that they have a drive thru as well! I plan to go back to try more of the treats!

Note

We were excited to try this new place. We also waited for more than 5 minutes, but the employee never came. And it wasn't close to closing time either, so disappointing!

This is the cutest little bakery that I've been to in AZ! The treats and rose coffee were delicious! The most notable part about our experience here was the hospitality. The two ladies running the shop were warm and helpful. They made us feel at home by holding pleasant conversation with us! The decor was bright and inviting! This place is a step above any other bakery! You must check it out!

We walked in to a inviting space filled with goodies and new items we hadn't had. The staff was great at explaining things and the cashier was friendly. We enjoyed our coffee and cake and will definitely be back to try something new next time.

Such a cute place! Love the pink and neon vibes! The coffee is delicious too! We love our churro and concha. The gal who took our order was super friendly and helpful too! Would definitely come back!

Coconut mocha

Absolutely love this place! We tried a concha, an Apple empanada and a couple of their coffee drinks. The pastries were very good and fresh. And the coffee was very tasty! Slightly more costly than I would like but I for sure think it's worth it, especially since this is a small local business! The workers were nice and there was barely any wait for my drinks. The inside of this place was also adorable, so much pink!

Let me preface this by saying, I am not a coffee drinker, it is never my first choice of beverage,…read moreit isn't even my top five! Now, this morning I had an unexpected invite to this "window coffee place" and since I had the open availability in my schedule and was needing to continue my meeting with my client, it was only a five minute drive, so sure why not. Thinking no biggie I can grab something small, and if I don't like it no sweat off my back its a "work" meeting. So I enter this small coffee establishment, the lighting was bright, the decor was pleasing, and the smell was delicious. I look at the menu and immediately see "cookie machiatto" and so I figure sure why not, grabbed a small (again not a coffee drinker) I let the wonderful gentleman behind the counter know "I like all the Carmel drinks". So he lets me know if I need it sweeter to just let them know they can add more. So I sit down, but started chatting for a good 10 minutes before I take my first sip! Let me tell you, my eyes were huge I immediately said loud enough for the two gentlemen behind the counter to hear, "oh my god this is delicious and I hate coffee". Seriously, I cannot sing the praises of this place loud enough. The flavor was smooth, sweet, with only the slight "bitter" coffee taste. It was fresh, creamy, the only negative I can say is I wish I would have gotten a large!!! I drank the entire thing, did not leave a drop! This is the perfect place for experienced coffee drinkers, the occasional coffee drinker, and the newbie!!! I will definitely be back, will get a large, and maybe try one of their other treats that sell. This place just might make a coffee drinker out of me yet!!! I recommend giving them a try!!!

Very welcoming space in an enormous lobby, and easy to access. Chairs, sofas, bartops, tables... the seating choices are endless. Well lit, with a security guard tucked away to keep watch. The menu is straightforward, all the expected coffee choices, and a more extensive food selection than I'd anticipated. I chose to combine the avocado toast and substitute the toast for an everything bagel. They asked if I'd like chili flakes on that and... of course! The cappuccino was excellent, with dense, stiff foam, deep flavor, and perfectly portioned. The avocado bagel was phenomenal, with good, chunky avocado, spread thick on a buttered and toasted bagel. Plenty enough to spread along both sides and have a bit left over. The flow of customers was steady and they worked through all of the orders quickly and efficiently... really could not ask for a better quick coffee breakfast experience.

The theme is (as one might suspect) songbirds and the entire Cafe is decorated with small songbird items. As a detail oriented person, I was in heaven noticing all the cute decorations. There is plenty of seating inside and outside (weather permitting) and it seems like it would be a peaceful place to study or work. The baristas were sweet and patient and helpful with the menu.

Apparently the shop sources coffees and teas from local businesses. For example, coffees = Infusion Coffee Roasters in Tempe, loose leaf teas and chai = Maya Tea Company in Tucson, kombucha = Milly Moon Kombucha in Phoenix, and breakfast burritos = Lua Lua Catering. [Parking]: Mostly metered parking and I ended up parking few blocks away from the shop (plenty of metered parking spots near the intersection of E McKinley St & N 5th St). [Atmosphere]: Inside of this historic house, the wall features the work of local artists. The shop also has a cute outdoor patio area with tables. [Menu]: Apparently Matcha Latte is one of the more popular drinks here. The shop offers 12 black tea options, 9 green tea options, 8 herbal tea options, 4 white tea options, and 3 oolong tea options. *** Matcha Latte (16 oz, iced - $6.25): I was surprised that my drink was sugar free by default and I probably say yes when the staff had asked about adding sweetener. The drink was not as creamy as I thought and it was honestly a fairly mediocre drink. The drink also came with a paper straw. *** A great spot for a casual 1st date due to great vibe, but matcha latte just didn't hit the spot.

Google Maps made it look like an empty lot, so I wasn't even sure it existed...but I figured worst case, I'd just grab gas nearby and move on. Pulling in was a little confusing -definitely pay attention to the arrows on the road because I ended up in the wrong spot instead of the drive-thru (a sign would help...or maybe I just missed it). There were about four cars ahead of me, which felt like a good sign. Someone came right up to my window to take my order, and when I said it was my first time, they were super helpful with recommendations. I went with a 24oz SF Augustine with cold foam and three espresso shots. It was really good - perfectly balanced, not too sweet. The espresso had a slightly burnt taste, but not in a bad way or anything overpowering. I also love that they have a "best sellers" list and it makes trying something new way easier and the drinks are pretty unique. Definitely coming back! Heads up: this is more of a grab-and-go spot--no seating, and I'm not sure about ordering ahead. But if you're an early bird who just wants a solid coffee fast, it's perfect. And I'm pretty sure it's local, which makes it even better!

The shop has several rooms where beauties hide and bloom. I was able to find my curly spider, which was my main goal. I also got a jade plant, which I've always wanted and never tried. My boyfriend found the coffee in the back and said it was delicious. I passed on the cacti because I don't like pokey things, but they had some lovely succulents that I will return to adopt. My boyfriend is sometimes in the area for work and I encouraged him to stop there to buy me plants anytime he is in the area versus flowers or candy. Yes, it's just that good! To say the neighborhood is sketchy is an understatement. Keep your wallet close and make sure you lock your doors. Don't let this warning discourage you. It is absolutely worth the trip. The quality you get is leaps and bounds above anything you'd get at a big box store.
