Here are my reviews for the foods and beverage: Apple Waffle - 4 stars - This waffle was a large size, and it was cooked to be nicely crispy. On top were many slices of fresh granny smith apples. On the side were butter and apple syrup, which tasted like cinnamon. Nutella, Strawberry, and Banana Crepe - 4 stars - The menu said that this dish came with two crepes, but the waitress asked me if I wanted only one. I hope that I was charged for only one. My crepe did not contain much filling at all unfortunately, but it still tasted good with the Nutella and the fresh chunks of strawberries and bananas on top. Strawberry French Toast - 4 stars - My husband ate this entree. The French toast was cooked nicely. It was covered with powdered sugar, fresh strawberries, and whipped cream. On the side was strawberry syrup, which tasted very sweet and delicious. Bacon - 5 stars - The four slices of bacon were very thick and crispy and had a perfectly satisfying flavor. Orange Juice - 4.5 stars - The menu and the waitress warned me that this orange juice would contain lots of pulp. I actually thought that the amount of pulp was OK. I enjoyed the refreshing taste. At the end of our meal, my husband and I had full and happy stomachs. The waitress told us to pay for our bill on the way out near the front entrance. We love this restaurant. The fruits and vegetables are fresh. We have tried several omelets. They are so big that we share one. The omelets come with pancakes so we just order another short stack. Service is excellent. I don't recommend the blintz unless you love sugar. We found them too sweet. The Reuben sandwich is also very good. The Original Pancake House has some of the best chocolate chip pancakes around. Both their pancakes and omelettes are absolutely huge and always cooked to perfection. My favorite omelette is the sun dried tomato and feta omelette. The chocolate chip pancakes with extra whipped cream is like dessert for breakfast. The whipped cream is incredible! The potato pancakes are crispy and delicious, served with your choice of applesauce or sour cream. Despite there being a staffing shortage, both seating and service are very fast. This staff does not stop moving. Coffee refills are offered regularly. You're checked on very frequently. At exactly the one hour mark while I was still drinking my tea and my friend was finishing her juice, the waiter comes over and says "sorry we need this table." For a national chain restaurant, their food is AMAZING! The wait was quite long on a Sunday, but that's because it's apparently a very restaurant! Our service was very good and we especially liked our server Alyssa. Very friendly and totally on top of coffee refills and getting us our good. This is the gold standard for breakfast places in my opinion. We've been to many breakfast places around the US and it's by far our favorite. Every place we go to gets compared to this one, so you know its good. The prices have increased here over the years and the portions have decreased over the years, but it's good enough to deal with it. The other main complaint I have about is that there's really no way to get a couple of breakfast meats together. You can get bacon, you can get ham or you can get sausage. They have no Denny's style grand slam, so if you want more than one meat like I do, you either have to order ala carte or buy two meals. We really like the decor as it feels like a place you would go when on vacation. They have thicker bacon that's very good. They only give you a half of a piece of kielbasa, but it's very juicy and good. I love the waffles. They make great eggs and have great baked omelettes. They have thicker sourdough toast as well. The staff is also very nice. Even though we only come in once every 2 months or so due to being far away, the host remembers us. They even helped us out one time when we were in a hurry and had to go. I can't recommend the place enough. read more

Really good food! We came in with a party of eight at the tail end of the Sunday breakfast/brunch rush. There were only four waitresses serving, and yet we had really good service and all of our food was correct and delicious. Our drinks were kept full and we had all the butter and syrup we needed. It's also nice that the egg and meat meals can sub in almost any of the specialty pancakes for about $2.25-2.50 instead of normal buttermilk (I think only the pigs in a blanket and apple pancakes are not included). Arrived on a Sunday morning and waited about 15 min, they were very busy. However, with how busy our server Abby was she did a fantastic job. I ordered the Italian omelet that just was amazing. Went today 7-15 around 10:30 am....we go here several times a month and love everything about the place. Until today. My wife and I ordered our food and looked forward to having breakfast together. Brought the bacon I ordered first. Then my wife's eggs, Benedict, then was brought next. This was then followed by just my toast. We assumed my omelet would follow shortly. As my wife picked at hers, so we could eat together, still no omelet. Finally, after at least 10 minutes, I flagged our waitress down. I just said that we came to eat together, and where was my food. A woman came out, who said she was the "manager," came out to say there was an issue with my order, and it was given to someone else. I asked why would you not say something? There is no answer to that. She said I will take it off the bill... no kidding, I never got it. No type of apology, just very stiff. I told her that I just posted on Facebook that we were there and looking forward to breakfast. Her manager response was, "You go and post that we have lousy service, that is fine. We would have preferred holding my wifes order until it could be brought out together.We always pay for what we get, but there is no offer to as much take anything off the bill for the inconvenience. That is no way to show that you actually care about your guest and hope they return.. Maybe if there is a general manager, they could explain if this is the proper protocol of ho to handle a situation like this. I since have sent a message to the email address asking to speak to a general manager about the situation. I am still waiting 2 weeks later. We got the fruit cup with one of our entrees which came out before everything else. The food took a while to come out, but when it did it was fresh and hot so no complaints there. Everything was super delicious and portion sizes are generous. I added the homemade whipped cream to my pancakes and didn't realize it would be a $2 fee, but it was worth it. They came around frequently to refill the coffee but never came to refill my water which is my only complaint. Sooo..I gave this place a go this morning. I was in the area getting new tires, so I went right after. It was packed with senior citizens which is always a good sign LOL. Waitresses hustling and bustling! I was sat right away-as soon as I entered. My waitress came over right away. I finally got a chance to try out this spot in North Hills! It has awkward hours and closes early in the day. The hours are 7am to 3pm. I went and it was a bit busy. However, I was immediately seated. The waitress went over the menu with me. I decided on the strawberry pancakes that come topped with fresh strawberries, and on the side, strawberry and maple syrup. I also ordered bacon to go with it. It is pretty cool that they ask how you would like your bacon cooked. It didn't take long for my meal to come out. And it was absolutely delicious. My husband and I have been here on a few occasions. We usually have to wait for a table but we were seated right away the last time we came (weekends tend to be really busy). This has been a solid breakfast place. Their hot chocolate is a winner and I recommend it to anyone who comes here. The whipped cream is homemade and tops it off beautifully. As for meals, we have had the Ham and Cheese Breakfast Crepes, South of the Border Breakfast Cakes, and Banana and Pecan Pancakes. While the crepes are good and something a little different than a normal egg dish or omelet, the hashbrowns could be crisped up quite a bit more. There were almost soggy and did not have a ton of flavor. I would have to say my pancakes were the best thing I have had here. And thank goodness as it is a pancake house! They accommodated the addition of pecans to my banana pancakes, with a small upcharge, as the large stack was served with 8 cakes! The syrup and butter topped them off beautifully. I was able to take some home and reheat for breakfast the next day. The prices here are average and the service has always been average. We like their food enough that we will be back. read more

So impressed. My friends and I went here for breakfast the morning after attending a wedding. I was excited to try it but with it being a chain, my expectations weren't extremely high. My boyfriend got the Apple Cinnamon pancakes with a side of bacon. The bacon was insane. It was so thick and crispy, but still juicy. The Georgia Pecan pancakes were nothing short of perfect - same with the apple cinnamon. The potatoes could've used more seasoning or even onion, but were very good. I'm definitely going to be back.
