Mac 'N Brisket Skillet looked good and was very good according to my partner.

Both dishes were very good. Highly recommend both. Loved our waitress she had a great personality. It's always crowded but that's a good thing.

I haven't been to a Denny's for over 25 years. I guess I was feeling nostalgic for a grand slam breakfast special. The outside of the building has a classic Denny's architecture. Inside it looks to have been updated at some point. There is no diner counter, maybe there never was at this location. The booth we were sat in was well used. The service was expedient and appropriately friendly. The food and coffee were good. I tried the whole grain pancakes expecting they would be dry compared to buttermilk pancakes. And they were. Taste-wise, they were good. They take Apple Pay/Google Pay which is a plus for me.

Loaded Nacho Tots
Heaven C.

Stopped here on the way home last night. First, the restaurant was pretty clean, but it was freezing in there! I started with a chocolate milkshake that was the perfect thickness and so delicious. And it was cheat day on my diet so I got the loaded nacho tots with extra jalapeños and sour cream and the strawberry crepes. They charged me $.69 for extra jalapeños. And for the extra money, they could have kept them. I got the same amount as a regular order at other locations. Tots were scrumptious as usual. The dish is really heavy though, if you've never tried it. Crepes we just ok. The filling was meh and they were rubbery. Our server was good. She disappeared for a while when it was check time, but she was nice and pretty good about removing our plates and such.

Prime Rib Benny at Denny's
Jeffrey M.

It's been a while since I've eaten at Denny's but, I had to, today. They are currently running a promotion called, Denny's Benny's. The one I chose was the Prime Rib Benny. It was downright delicious! The prime rib was mouthwatering delicious and extremely tender. The eggs were fresh and inviting. The hollandaise sauce was so good, I would eat it in a bowl, just as I would my favorite soup. Their hash browns actually blows Waffle House's away. And the sourdough toast was a wonderful complement to my meal. If you are a Denny's fan, hurry in before they're gone! Even if you're just a fan of a great Eggs Benedict, hurry in!!!

Here's the pic on their menu...

It's breakfast- it shouldn't be that hard to get it right...! I ordered the Philly Cheesesteak Omelet because the picture made it look awesome. I could practically taste it w my eyes. What I received was scrambled eggs w cheese w some toppings thrown in between. Doesn't ANYONE mix the toppings into the eggs anymore??? It's almost like the toppings were an afterthought. Is this what we expect and willing pay for...? And their coffee... Is... Nasty...

Free WIFI and power!

After leaving Steak & Shake because of not being acknowledged or seated we waited in line at Denny's and hada wonderful breakfast. Great food and service. Such friendly people that work there, they took some time to get us a seat but let us know they where working on it. Simple little things make a difference.

The food was really good coffee was hot and the serve was amazing, so if you want a down to earth place to eat come on over to the Dennys on clairton Blvd.

My wife and I took a recent trip to Pittsburgh. We had two mornings in town and had a tale of two…read morebreakfasts. The Speckled Egg provided the upscale and elevated breakfast, that was a nice contrast to the rustic and local breakfast we had the next day. Our waitress was friendly and professional. After some deliberation, I went with a bowl that included eggs, chicken sausage, sweet potatoes and a nice garnish of dill. The dill surprisingly elevated the whole dish. My wife enjoyed an omelette. Coffee was also quite good! Nice start to a day of sightseeing! (The restaurant staff gave great advice about the nearby tourist attractions)

He was courteous, well spoken and friendly. We sat there for about 10-12 minutes. No one approached the table. We looked over to what appeared to be a bar area and we saw two servers standing there talking and showing each other their phones. My wife said, "With our luck, one of those two is our server." Sure enough, when they were finally done talking, one came over to our table....no smile and a big audible sigh. She asked what we wanted to drink, we gave our order and she returned with our beverages. After another 10 minute wait she came back to take our order. When asked about a certain dish, came another big sigh, eye roll and and a rote description of said dish. The food arrived and one of the orders was wrong. Another wait to get her attention. We asked for the item to be redone as we had ordered it. And she even asked how we wanted it! You got it...another eye roll and a big sigh. At least she was well oxygenated! The dish came back with the very same results. On that issue we gave up. Then came the wait for the check. Once again the two servers were chatting, no heads turned to check on their tables. My son went over to get the check. When the check arrived, it was attitude city. She accused us of picking on her because she was only a server. It's obviously how she saw herself. We then asked for the manager who was quick to side with the server. She said that nothing seemed to satisfy us and that we had a problem. IN SHARP CONTRAST. I have been to the Speckled Egg on the South Side many times. From the Host/Hostess to the servers to the bus staff, everyone had a smile, chatted with their customers, laughed and it was always a great experience. The manager came over since he recognized me from being there many times and we chatted for a minute. We are talking Night and Day. Completely two different experiences from server to management styles. To me there is only one Speckled Egg and one complete waste of time (Downtown).

Oh. My. Gosh. Smashed Waffles is giving FULL on (brunch any…read moreday of the week) energy! We tried: Cereal Thriller Quilted Pig OG Happy Go Lucky Smashed Browns (get the sweet & spicy sauces on the side & mix them together.) ya welcome! Troublemaker (with cold foam) Honey Buns (with cold foam) And listen... everything was amazing but if I had to pick (which I don't want to, but if I had to...) #1 Happy Go Lucky #2 Cereal Thriller (If you want to be a big back like me,try them both together. Thank me later! ) What really made the experience even better than just having great waffles, was the people. General Manager Sharon and Assistant Manager Kelsey were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely seemed excited to help. The owner Len was EXTREMELY responsive to my email & text inquiries (which honestly is rare these days.) As a small business owner myself, I notice and appreciate that kind of effort immediately!! This place is absolutely underrated. Between the amazing staff, the aesthetic Instagram/TikTok worthy storefront, and food & drinks that are ACTUALLY delicious (because sometimes places only nail one or the other ), they've got the full package! Plenty of seating inside & out. clean bathrooms, self-service kiosks but they also have a register if you are lazy like me. Parking can be a little challenging, but there are several nearby garages that make it manageable. 10/10 experience. So grateful we got the chance to try smashed waffles. I ordered a coffee, a savory waffle, and a sweet waffle, and everything was delicious. I especially loved the glaze on the cereal killer waffle and the "secret sauce" served with their savory waffles. The cinnamon roll coffee I ordered was also fantastic and a very smooth and sweet drink. Everything was fantastic, and the owner was extremely kind and welcoming. I will definitely be back!

I have been to Café Moulin in Shadyside several times on previous trips to Pittsburgh. In truth,…read moreit's such a favorite of mine that I headed there straight from the airport on my most recent visit. The cool vibe restaurant is tucked away up a short flight of stairs on Filbert Street. It gives the place a cozy, hideaway feel with brick walls and murals. It's pretty popular, so you might have to wait a few minutes for a table, but it moves pretty quick. The menu focuses heavily on crepes and French toast, and they do both very well. I went for a savory crepe that was loaded with eggs and topped with a rich sauce and diced vegetables. It came with a side of fresh fruit which was a nice touch. We also ordered a sweet crepe to share. It was beautifully presented with chocolate drizzle, berry sauce, and a massive pile of whipped cream. The coffee is solid too. Verdict: This is a consistent and reliable brunch spot. It was the perfect way to kick off my trip. I will definitely be back next time I am in town.

But the star of the show for me is the Shakshouka. I have gotten it the last 2 times I went. You also have to try their Dirty Chai. My only critique is the hostess at the front. She appeared overwhelmed by her role and was not warm. We were actually told by the waiters that "she is serious about her list". Which would be great if she managed it effectively. When I brought concerns that we had been pushed down the list 3 times for other parties. She responded "well, how do you know that" to which I responded "we watched you take their names down after ours and sit them before us". Her response was to shoo me off and tell me to go find a table myself; to which I did. But what a poor way to manage your stress, responsibility, and consumers. On the bright side my waiter/waitress was awesome per usual.
