I got a lamb gyro, which was, well, it got fed to the dog. Pluses, the naan bread was really good and moist-even though it had been under a warmer. The meat, was tough as leather and lacked flavor. It had mayyyybe 3 pieces of onion on it and the sauce/you would think they were rationing out a teaspoon between 20 sandwiches. It was nonexistent. Again, like this place, but don't spend your 10 bucks on this sandwich.

Their pastries are reasonably priced and they always have deals of the day although the discounts are negligible - eg something normally $4.89 might be on sale for $4.29 or so. I haven't found the service to be particularly friendly either which seems unusual for a longstanding mom-and-pop with loyal customers who have been coming for decades (I'm the third Marv's generation in my family). I do think it's sweet how they offer free coffee with any bakery purchase. It's by no means gourmet but it's a nice touch. They also sell some miscellany like cheeses, pickled goods, meats, etc. About half the physical space is all baked goods and the second half is the rest. I can't imagine anyone doing significant shopping here but if you needed an item conveniently you can get it here.

Our waitress was attentive, had everyone's drink order taken as soon as we all trickled in. I ordered the Southwest chopped chicken salad; and added jalapenos. My only constructive criticism for the salad was to actually chop it. It was more of a seared breast that was sliced into strips, it wasn't chopped. With that said, the salad was delicious. The lettuce was fresh, the jalapeno ranch was tasty. I had no complaints putting the whole thing away for lunch. Our waitress did a great job caring for all 8 of us, while we came in at varied times, had several modifications to dishes, and some had to leave early... Great experience.
