The interior of the establishment is generally clean, and the staff is usually friendly. Orders may occasionally take a little longer during peak hours, but all in all, it's a good place to go if you want quick food that still tastes good. Unquestionably one of the better fast-food restaurants in the area.

I dont think that I have ever started off a review with AVOID AT ALL COSTS LITERALLY!!!!!…read more I usually go to the Wendy's on Bloomfield Ave, but sometimes they put spicy nuggies in the same vat as regular and some of the spice transfers over... So my wife had me try this one. I ordered my FiL a double, large fry, large chili, and 10 piece nuggies, and it was like $18. I then ordered my 50 piece nuggies and they charged me for 5 10 pieces! $20+ for something that is 11.99 at Bloomfield... The guy said the largest that they sell is the 10 piece, I said I want the party pack, it comes with 50. He said Wendy's never sold a party pack. I left at this point and went to my normal Wendy's and instead of my FiL's meal being $18, it was $14... Staff is lazy, and slightly rude. If you like paying more for your meal go here, if you want the same meal with a better experience than go to a different location. There are plenty! AVOID!!!!!

I ordered the chicken tenders with the honey garlic sauce and I'll give credit where it's due -- 10/10 flavor, well-seasoned, sauce was on point. However... the portion-to-price ratio had me side-eyeing a bit. $9 for just 3 tenders and no fries is questionable. The food tasted great, but I definitely expected more for the price. Overall, solid flavor and vibes, but the portions don't quite match the cost. I'd come back for the taste, just hoping the value improves.

PLENTY of parking on site which is massive. Everything inside is clean and well organized. In addition, the young woman that helped us was great. Awesome attitude and helpful. I got the bacon cheeseburger. It was perfectly cooked and seasoned very well. Not bland at all. I was very surprised at the quality and how well prepared it was. We got an order of Buffalo cauliflower with honey garlic sauce on them. I LOVE cauliflower, and these came out really good. Crispy outer coating and not overpowering with the sauce. The kid got boneless wings. I didn't even get to steal one. He said they were very good and if you've read any of my other reviews, you know that the kid is a total wing snob. My wife got the rice bowl and she said that was also very good. Cost was pretty much on par with everywhere else that one would go to get something to eat. I have the Cheesesteak on my radar for our next visit...... Unfortunately, no photos this time. We went right after basketball and it was chaos for us.

A Ripper: otherwise known as a "Deep-Fried Hotdog". Three plain and simple words, but when…read morecombined, they are nearly pornographic. At least they are for me. Rutt's Hut has been on my punch list for a long time. Actually NJ fried Hot Dogs have been both from Rutt's and from Hiram's over in Ft. Lee. I got to Hiram's and today was my luck day to get a shot at a Ripper. Rutt's is a bit off the beaten path and is down a meandering pothole filled road in a very industrial feeling part of town surrounded by wooded areas. It seems like it would be a better place for a serial killer body dump than a Hot Dog vendor but it's been there since 1928 so it must be doing something right. There is a large, private, and free parking lot which is a huge bonus in my playbook. The building looks like it is in disrepair. There are 2 areas to eat here. A door to the left seems to be a pub/bar with sit down service and then there is the right side that I went to which is a stand up, indoor counter where you can get in and out very quickly. This is a cash only spot so come prepared. Get to an open counter worker, give them your order, and pay when they hand over the goods. I was a little intimidated when I walked in because it was clear that everyone else in the place understood the ordering routine and knew the menu (there are quite a few other items you could order other than Rippers). I stood in a corner like a potted plant for about 10 minutes and watched what others did when they walked in before I figured out the process. It's pretty simple but I did not want to screw up Rutt's world order by doing something stupid. The 3 Rippers I ordered were good (but not best in class for me). The one I liked the most was the chili cheese dressed Ripper because the chili was actually quite tasty. On the counter are large containers of brown mustard and almost-fluorescent yellow relish. People seem to love the stuff. It was a bit like sweetened sauerkraut for me and the color of it makes me think it is either radioactive or seasoned with antifreeze. I would be happy going here again but I can't say that my Rippers were anything special. I might ask for them to be a little overdone next time to add a bit of texture. What I did like about Rutt's was the history, the dilapidated building, the simplicity of the menu, the naming of their dogs as "Rippers", and the fact that it felt like I was eating among real NJ natives that knew exactly what they were there for. Experiencing local culture doesn't get much better than that.

I knew the entire two-hour ride up where I was going right after the meeting! It did not disappoint! I got the 4 Slider Sack and decided to be extra complicated about it: one Cheese Slider, one Jalapeño Cheese Slider, one Bacon Cheese Slider, one Bacon Jalapeño Cheese Slider, and upgrade to Cheese Fries (I rarely am by a White Castle so, yes, I wanted the smorgasbord of sliders lol). They got everything right, AND the sliders were actually built neatly without the cheese half falling off, etc. (you all know that's a rare feat) The employees working were all very nice and attentive, taking care of customers as soon as they enter and even offering some suggestions to those that asked. This is also one of the cleanest White Castle locations I have been to! Well done, White Castle of Newark (pun intended). Keep up the great work!

These were the closest to the house. The DT was pretty busy, there was a decent line at like 11PM. The rest of the parking lot was pretty empty. The staff did a pretty good job of cleaning the parking lot as well. There was very little garbage! Service was pretty standard when it comes to WC. Employees are here for the paycheck hahaha. Nothing crazy good or bad! I got a crave case with cheese, some rings, some sticks, and fries. All super standard and taste the exact same no matter where you go to a WC. I also ordered a sweet tea! It was solid as always. All in all, a decent location. Parking lot is pretty well lit up. Service is pretty quick. Food is solid! No complaints!
