Pizza is great!! Unfortunately they arent consistent. Out of the 20 times we have ordered, 3 times we received pizzas that looked like Salvador Dali clocks. The last pizza we ordered was charred with a layer on moisture on top....possibly from the mushrooms. The char made the cheese look weird...but it was edible. Ahhhh... the joys of trying to drive and park anywhere in the immediate vicinity could make the venerable Mahatma Gandhi look to purchase brass knuckles. (I'm not kidding or exaggerating when I tell you that I witnessed a line of double-parked cars when there were actual/real/empty parking spots 'open' - that's how wild it can be here.) I made my way inside Belleville Pizza (after legally parking, mind you!) and it was just as hectic here as it was outside. A slew of customers, delivery guys, workers... and no one was exactly sure where to stand or how to order or who should go next. Eventually it was my turn (I think?!), I grabbed my grub and did my best to get the heck out of Belleville (the potholes all along Washington Ave were the 'cherry on top' of this adventure, for sure). The good news: the food was actually worth the hassle. Well-made, generous portions, perfectly seasoned, more-than-fair pricing. They know how to knock out a damn good pizza. They can make a respectable pasta dish. (Trust me: a lot of pizzerias really can't, unfortunately.) Their garlic knots are the size of a softball. The mozz sticks - pretty run of the mill, and that's not a knock at all. If this joint were a lot closer to where I live - it would definitely get cycled into our weekly rotation, that's for sure. (And nothing but respect for the one pizzaiolo that was using his bare hands to grab and move pizzas in that blast-furnace of an oven. A very good option in the area! Their cheese pizza is really really delicious. The sauce was very memorable. Super sweet but very well balanced. I loved it. I also got a few other slices and all were good but I would definitely get a regular cheese pie from here. I also ordered a sausage peppers and onion calzone which was very tasty. I would get an extra side order of sauce cause it's just that good. The staff was very friendly too. Food came out quickly, The restaurant itself is also very cute. Tons of tables to sit and enjoy lunch or dinner. Parking can probably be a little tough so they also deliver if needed. Overall a great option for some great pizza! read more

As I expand my pizza horizons, I land myself here at Belleville Pizza. What brought me here? A picture of the Palermo Sicilian Pie. Let's not get ahead of ourselves. We're going to start at the beginning. I called and ordered a Buffalo Chicken Pizza (as we always do because our son LOVES Buffalo Chicken), we got the Palermo Sicilian with thin crust and a riceball parmigiano. I was told 25 minutes and 25 minutes later as I was walking in, guys what? It was just coming out. Timing was impeccable. Plus they were fairly crowded. Excellent! Buffalo Chicken was very good. Spicy but not insane hot. Very enjoyable. Looked a little soupy when I opened the box but it held together very well and the crust was nice and crispy. Palermo Sicilian was very different. They used a very sweet sauce on it. It was extremely different. It had fresh mozz topped with crushed tomatoes, some onions, Romano pecorino cheese and olive oil. The taste curveball it threw my wife turned her off. My palate is a little more sophisticated . I found as I finished the first piece and went fit a second, I was beginning to dig it in an odd way. It's not for the adventurous or those set in their pizza ways. The rice ball parmigiano was very good. It was a large riceball quartered and hit with sauce and mozzarella and then baked. This pizza was so good I almost cried. I mean just look at the pic. I placed a pick up order thru grubhub for a Buffalo chicken pizza and a side of jalapeño poppers ($6). A lot of places are raising their prices these days which is understandable, but this place had good prices AND tasted amazing. Can't beat that. The pizza was cooked perfectly, it wasn't soggy & no cheese fell off while eating. Ordering was easy since you can order through the yelp app but I chose to call them to place my order instead. The guy that picked up was very friendly and didn't rush me when I was taking my sweet time ordering. Noona pie aka grandma pie was a bit disappointing. The crust was so hard that I was afraid to continue eating it for the sake of my teeth. BBQ chicken pie was pretty decent and good. Garlic knots was dry and bland, they also forgot to include marinara sauce so it was hard eating them. Buffalo wings was dry and bland. The ranch sauce was watery and the buffalo wings were like regular wings with not much taste to them. My friends and I ordered from the pizzeria for the first time after reading excellent reviews. We ordered three pies: Cheese pizza with jalapeños and bell peppers, Vodka pizza with jalapeños, bell peppers, and spinach, and White pizza with spinach (not pictured below). The Vodka pizza was the party's favorite because of the perfectly seasoned creamy vodka sauce. The least favorite was the White pizza because it was bland and required some hot sauce or red chili flakes. Another reason is that the White pizza was sauceless topped with ricotta, mozzarella, and parmesan cheese. Ive ate at this establishment for years... in the beginning food was solid. They seemed to care about the quality of service. But the pass few years ive noticed a unfortunate decline. There's a bunch of knuckleheads working there. Maybe due to low wage pay and trying to make as much of a profit but its not beneficial at all for the customers. The food doesnt even come out hot! Let alone tasty. They use old products to save but if anyone knows food can tell. The lettuce is almost always browning. The pizza is dismal and they never listen to how you want you food to be made. Get some ppl in there with food service certifications in the least! This place had so much potential and now they just do the bare minimum (if that). The owner she be ashamed of himself. My wife ordered a Ham, Salami, Capicola, and Provolone Hero, it came to us slimy, the meat had slime on it as if it had been left outside of refrigeration for more than a day and it had a foul-smelling odor. John was only interested that $8.75 was refunded for a spoiled sandwich. He never postured himself to apologize, he never made an attempt to inquire what happened, obviously "Customer Satisfaction" was never a thought.
