The building itself is a repurposed carriage house from the early 1900's, lending the operation an air of historical, progressive-era American ingenuity and quality. I loved the beer. We tried several beers in the few hours we spent there, and everything we tried was a perfect rendition of its style. Favorites were the Prospector (amber ale), the Lawman Sweet Justice (Hefeweizen with peach and cinnamon), and the Boom Haka Rakau (New England IPA). Another good indicator of a quality brewery? I counted 15 beers on tap, a shandy, a hard seltzer (with about 600 flavors available to mix in) a variety of NA beers and an NA seltzer. We each tried two beers and enjoyed what we had, though nothing really wowed us. They had live music outside with a $10 cover charge which is a first for me. I've never been to a brewery that charged for live music. So we sat inside instead. Pleasant atmosphere inside. We were the youngest people there by far; everyone else was in their 50's or 60's. Not sure if that is due to the type of music or if that is a typical Saturday night here. Overall not bad. I don't live close and probably wouldn't go out of my way to come back, but it was a nice enough Saturday night out while we were in the area.
