If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! Polo's Bar and Grill is a local, family-owned business that went above and beyond by hosting a fundraiser for a local resident and their family. I cannot begin to express all that Rosie and her staff did to make this fundraiser such an amazing success for everyone involved. Their generosity, compassion, and dedication were evident every step of the way. The food and service were excellent, as always. The only complaint? The portions are TOO BIG! Everything was fresh, delicious, and made to order. Rosie is always one of the first people to step up and support our community. Her kindness and willingness to help others make Polo's much more than just a great place to eat and enjoy a drink. What makes a great sports bar great? Excellent menu choices, awesome drinks, a billion big screens tvs, affordable bar and kitchen specials, and fast friendly service. Food was good and reasonably priced - good service. Unfortunately, we went on "bingo night" which meant our pleasant meal and conversation were constantly interrupted by a loud guy with a fake radio DJ voice yelling numbers. Really annoying. read more

The problem I have with this location is every other time there's broken dishes with chips. Why are you serving dishes with chips? If I did not see it, I could've been cut. The other issue is I got the strawberry rose sangria the strawberry on the glass as a garnish was disgusting. Just don't use it on the glass, use a different strawberry. I'm getting concerned that this is happening more often with the broken dishes when we come. At this time, I cannot recommend. read more

@BigDudesBigFoods and our extended family decided to go to @PolosBarAndGrill for the #Thanksgiving specials. Polo's is a classier sports bar situation. We started with the Spiced Pumpkin Bisque and the Thanksgiving egg rolls (Thanksgiving dinner all rolled up in a won ton wrapper). Most of us followed that up with the Thanksgiving Sandwich or platter or lobster mac & cheese . The Thanksgiving Sandwich was a delicious combination of roasted turkey topped with apple/cranberry stuffing and cranberry mayo with a side of sweet potato fries. Actually better than I thought. Came here with a friend on a whim on a weekday night. She said this location was new but she had been to other Polo's that were solid. Parking lot was easy to navigate. Noise volume inside was not significant- easy to talk and be heard. I love that they had so many kinds of fries!! Well, up until we had trouble deciding. But our waitress was lovely and patient enough to help with suggestions. The fries portion is generous- and we ended up going with tater tots (not pictured). Otherwise, we shared the portobello flatbread which was delicious and I ordered for myself the capellini caprese, which was also decent. I wouldn't say it was amazing but better than what I had expected. I think the apps may be better than the entrees, but what I enjoyed was the casual atmosphere and the great service! This is the newer location. They moved to probably over a year ago now I have been here a couple of times. The bar area is very nice. The dining area is large and well spread out. There is at least one private room that I know of. Great variety of beers if you're into that the service is always very pleasant. The menu is rather large more than I expected. I got a chicken and pasta entrée. I think it was some kind of balsamic salt sauce. It was terrific. My wife got a salad which was also very good and had grilled chicken. We arrived at Polo's right when they opened. The bartender, Jason was awesome. We were definitely annoying because we were waiting outside till 1045 for them to open. He made the best cocktails. Food was good, everyone in our party enjoyed the apps and entrees, but I ordered fish and chips and while the portion was great, it came with house potato chips instead of French fries. Prior to covid, my wife and I tried to have dinner at Polo's, but the place was packed on a Friday night and we couldn't even find a parking spot. This week, on a Thursday, we finally had a chance to stop in for dinner. There's a nice big bar on the right and tables to the left. It was a big crowd with only 1 or 2 empty tables. There's a special Thanksgiving menu. We didn't order off of it, but my wife did have a pumpkin martini which she liked. I started off with a bowl of French onion soup and we both ordered salads. The food was good and the salads were huge. All in all, this is a nice place to stop for a drink and a nice meal. Plenty of TVs to watch sports on too. read more

It's unfortunate that the quality of the food is undermined by the lackluster service. Went in for lunch around 1:00 pm on a reasonably quiet afternoon with not that many diners. After seeing a couple receiving their food that came in 15 minutes or so after we arrived we finally were able to flag down our inattentive waiter. Came back with a fictionalized reason about the delay over a salad and a sandwich. So, meal progresses and he never checks back to see if all was well. Had to tap a different waiter for a couple of things we needed. Even after his less than average service we ask for the check and he disappeared again. Finally got up to bring the check to the bar to finalize the tab. It's unfortunate that their food is good but we will never go back. Atmosphere is lacking with sparse decoration and dark painted walls with virtually no light coming in from outside. read more

$10 for a salad fit for three people? Yes please! I came here for lunch on a Thursday and we had no issue getting a table on the patio. Despite being right next to a loud and busy road, it was a nice patio setup and was good to eat outside. We both ordered salads -- one southwestern salad and one Mediterranean salad. We could not get over how massive the bowls were, and they easily could have each fed 2+ people. And oh wow were they tasty! So many fun toppings with different textures and flavors. My southwestern salad had a drizzle of BBQ sauce and it was a great addition! Some poor reviews among many great reviews had me skeptical, but my wife and I decided to give Polo's a shot. We came on an early Friday evening and the place was quiet which we intentionally anticipated to beat the crowd. Our server, Malissa, was excellent. Genuinely friendly and cool. We were hungry so had a couple apps first - calamari and the zucchini blossoms (which were from the specials menu). They came out fast and were piping hot. The calamari was not great, it was like the the premade frozen rings from shoprite, no tentacles and the sauce was nothing to write home about. The zucchini blossoms kicked ass and the dill cream sauce with it was delicious. Oh, they had a huge draft beer list that was impressive, I had my usual which was cold and satisfying. Entrees we had the Beet salad and jalapeño burger with tots, both were great. Tiramisu for desert was good, made in house, not the best but pretty good! Just had lunch with a friend at polos. Food was fine except for the cheese curds. We tried a couple of them each and my friend who's been there many times said something tasted off about them so we asked to send them back. Waitress was super nice and brought them back to the kitchen for us. Then shortly after came back out with the same plate saying that the owner tried some and they were fine and that we ate half of them so we still had to pay. We asked to speak to the owner and when she came out, she said that she did try some off of our plate and so did "all the chefs in the kitchen" then sent that same plate back out which to me was a wild thing to do/admit to and is so disgusting. Also would probably be why the plate looked light after that?? She did end up begrudgingly taking them off the bill after we spoke with her but her overall attitude and having her hands along with the kitchen staff in food that she planned on sending back to us was unacceptable... read more

So I've been here twice. The first time was amazing so we decided to come back. The second time was such a disappointment. The food was just bland. We started with corn nuggets for our appetizer and that was okay. Then for our entrees we both got French onion soup and I had a flatbread and my wife got wings. The French onion soup was just colored water. There was absolutely no flavor to it. The wings were also bland. You take away the sauce on top and taste the actual chicken, there's no flavor. And the flatbread I got: Brie and apples , it was okay too. I was expecting a combo of sweet and salty and I got neither. Service was okay. We came on a Saturday night after 8 and there were plenty of tables open. Ambiance is your typical sports pub. Prices were decent but there's a cash discount if you pay with money instead of a card. Honestly, I don't know why they moved from the old location. The parking is equally shitty. It's basically the same sized bar. There's a ballroom big enough to have a wedding in it, but the limo would have to park up on I-80. The bartender service is weak at best. The food is meh at best. The pizza is an embarrassment to NJ. If you can't do it right, then just don't do it at all. It could be great, but they need to get their sh*t together. read more

Ordered beef loaded nachos.Where do I start! It said there was bacon in them, never saw any bacon or tasted bacon, & honestly have never had or desired bacon on my nachos. The cheese was like hard rubber, I'm not sure if there was some spice sprinkled on them or what it was, but it was as if sand had been sprinkled on them! A very gritty texture in your mouth.... Basically flavorless!The ground beef was way overcooked, I could go on & on let me tell you !!! I mean it's pretty hard to screw up Nachos!!! I am so happy that we did not order any other food! We went there on a Thursday night, there were 10 of us friends getting together for a few birthdays wishes. The first thing people were complaining about was the lack of parking spots when they arrived. That was my first time at Polo's and it will be my last. First of all, the whole place has a cold feel and look about it. It's one big open space with some TV's slapped up on the walls, I guess it's supposed to be a sports bar. There isn't a window in the whole place, and I think the walls were paneled with tables all throughout the place. It all was a brown color. Then the food came out, I ordered a burger, and my daughter ordered the eggplant parm with pasta on the side. It was the worst looking dish I had ever seen in a restaurant. It was unrecognizable and disgusting looking. I ordered a burger and that was just as bad. The tomatoes on it were hard and tasteless just like the mushrooms that came right out of a can. I had to load the burger up with ketchup to get some taste out of it. I will never go back there ever again. What a waste of $$$. read more
