Another review from a poor man. We went for the anniversary celebration of Taphouse 15 this year. First week of December 2025. We went on the second day, Saturday. This review is a complete mixed bag for me as there is pros and cons to the experience. Pros: The Argentinian chicken wings were really tasty and crispy and good. Both of our burgers were really good. The waitress was pleasant and quite good as well. so for these reasons, it was a pleasant experience and rather tasty. Also, we didn't wait too long for a table with a 7 o'clock reservation. Cons: Only six wings come to an order for the Argentinian chicken wings and they charge $15! I think that's rather expensive. Although the French onion soup had great flavor, it was a salt bomb! I couldn't believe how much salt was in it! Also, the lack of substitutions for certain things like fries without enough charge for an already pricey burger is a bit much. Beers were expensive as well. 7 bucks for a 4 ounce IPA? Not thank you. So if you don't mind paying top dollar for a ver good tasting burger and wings, then this spot will definitely deliver on flavor. But would I choose to spend this much?? No. Not in the least. The choice is yours on what you are willing to spend for pub food at steakhouse prices. read more

Was brought here by my girlfriend's relatives who live in a neighboring town. They've spent formative years in New York and are self-conscious about NJ pizza so took us here. As spoiled New Yorkers who already have our fill & choice of pizza, we were excited to try what aunt and uncle also recommended like the French onion soup, Americanized in a good way: The cheese bubbled over each single-serving pot to their very bottom. Nice. Next came our mains: I got the stuffed acorn squash, which looks small, but I couldn't finish, and it was a tad too sweet. My partner got the pasta with pepper jack chicken and sausage which I tried a little of; her aunt and uncle split the humongous Cuban sandwich. For drinks I had a prosecco, my partner and her uncle Stella's. The beer menu was as big as a bible but my gf's uncle, a beer aficionado, was more interested in talking with us: The place was big enough where we could do just that with the Winter Olympics playing in the background. We returned multiple times since our first visit and the service and food have been consistently exceptional. We were seated in the section opposite the bar and the warm fireplace gave a cozy feel. Dinner consisted of steak frittes and pan seared scallops, and churros and ice cream made for a sweet dessert. Food came out fairly quickly and tasted great. I observed that all tables were well taken care of with servers checking in often. The place is packed on a Friday night and parking can get tricky despite the large lot. Went with our friends. I saw a post about this on tiktok but we live 2 hours away so we never went until we passed by it. The food was great. We loved the tomato fondue. Popular taphouse with really great beers and good food. Set up at the bar, great service and I appreciate the recommendations on which beer's to try. Only tried a couple of the appetizers, but the wings were great and I will have to come back for the bang bang shrimp. I returned on a packed evening. This time around, the taphouse chicken sandwich was ordered. It was made up of a fried chicken breast, sriracha honey, jalapeno, pickled vegetables, and scallion aioli on a brioche bun. There was also a side of French fries, which came out very hot and crispy. The sandwich as a whole was alright. The chicken was fried appropriately with enough flavor, but there was just not enough sriracha honey and scallion aioli. They were both very good and went well with the chicken breast, but there was just not enough present, which was disappointing. My partner and I came here a few days ago to celebrate our five year anniversary. He's been here once before, but I never have so I wanted to try it out. We came at a perfect time, it wasn't too crowded. We came right before a dinner rush it would seem. For the appetizer, we ordered the calamari. It was the first time I've had calamari that was more on the sweet and spicy side rather than salty. It wasn't my favorite, but my boyfriend really enjoyed it. For entrees, we both got steaks, I ordered mine medium rare. The steak was really good. I unfortunately wasn't able to finish it but I at least got to take it home to enjoy the leftovers. Here fora wedding so 12 of us we decided to come for dinner . Place has a great atmosphere. The service was great. The food was good. We had no complaints. Sat at the bar first for a couple of drinks and honestly, the bartender were awesome and so attentive. The drinks were good and just a happy place to be at. We had pizzas n salad . At the end two of us returned to the bar for another drink and the bartenders remembered us and were so welcoming!! Kudos to them . I am a HUGE fan of taphouse 15 not to mention crazy close to my house but the only reason I cannot give the full 5-stars is for value. Mostly everything on the menu is $20 from a burger, to fish tacos to the wood fired pizza -- not entirely sure they are worth that much for the location in lake hopatcong NJ but they are the only game in the area so they have a lock on whatever they want to do honestly! They have a ton of beers on tap which is pretty epic -- I was a huge fan of their taster size & you can get a flight of different beers which is always a fan-favorite! The ambiance is actually really cool -- they have a wood fire oven right when you enter a huge bar area with booths to sit around as well as a formal dining area for larger parties. The service is always great, they are fully staffed with knowledgeable bartenders as well as a fully stocked bar -- the best value for a glass of blantons i've had in a while! Over all great spot & again since it's honestly the only nice restaurant around it gets crazy packed with locals & folks driving through highly recommend if you're on 15 looking for a fire meal! read more

Every time I pass this place, it is always busy. And after my visit, I could see why. I came here on a Sunday night about an hour before closing time so it wasn't as crowded. The place has a combination of a sports bar and diner vibe to it. Sat at a booth near the bar and kicked it off with an order of fried calamari ($17) which had an interesting batter. For my main I got the bbq burger ($19) which came with pork belly and was very tasty. My brother got the terminator burger ($19) which looked awesome with onion rings stacked on top. My party of 22 recovering alcoholics had the great privilege of experiencing the incredible service from Will "The Thrill" for the first time in my 52 years I uttered the words "no alcohol" at this table. Will did not need to split the table with anyone, his pivot points were impeccable no selling at service (which was prompt, friendly, professional & courteous) everyone got exactly what they ordered without a glitch! As a veteran of the restaurant industry it drives me crazy when reviewers say "the service was terrible" and such... I am fully aware of the variables and unique circumstances that can arise at every single table every night (BOH issues, callouts, understaffing, being in the weeds, running out of items and the difficulty in dealing with large parties. Our reservation was smooth, our experiences was outstanding and every single one of us loved what what we ordered! Food was incredible. The place has over 500 reviews...but I felt strongly enough to put in my own 2 cents. We are BEER people, veterans of at least 1000 NJ, PA and NY beer bars, and always on the look out for a new Craft Beer destination. So...based on monitoring their outstanding beer list for a couple weeks, we decided to make the 90+ minute trip from Cherry Hill to Tap House 15. VERDICT: They had the beers they advertised (so many bars do NOT), those beers were top flight craft beers (not just good beers, ELITE beers), and they had a LOT of them (tap, cans, bottles, large format, etc.). BONUS: Alby the bartender was a welcoming and knowledgable...and the cheesesteak I had (while not cheap) was outstanding! Even at 90+ minutes away, we'll be back. I want to start off by saying the service was impeccable, I come here all the time and it's my favorite restaurant in the area. Will has been my server a few times, and I can finally relax when he walks to the table because I know everything will be handled perfectly and he makes you feel so at home.. my food came out beautiful. I got the short rib gnocchi! What a beautiful fall dish.. The meat was tender, and the gnocchi was cooked to perfection. I've never had a bad dish here... the ambience was nice. I would suggest lowering the lights a bit in the dining room, next time I make a reservation I will reserve a booth near the bar because the ambience is beautiful in there!
