Nice looking place, pretty cute. The "New Owner" sat us outside on the patio since the place was packed and told us we would have to come place our orders at the bar inside when we were ready because there are no servers for the patio. She also told us they would bring us water (they never did). She was amazingly friendly and polite. We placed our orders. The guy taking the order said "is that even on the menu?" and we had to show him. We thought, maybe he's new.. whatever that's ok. Our food began coming out, the guy asked, what did you order again? We tell him. He brings one more plate, and then tells me "one of the other stupid servers took your food and gave it to someone else, she thought it was hers so we are making a new one", I said ok... that's fine... I thought well, it is kinda busy, things happen. While waiting for the rest of our food, the guy is at another table on the patio trying to flirt with the ladies there, bringing them giant blue drinks and them saying "we didn't order this" and responses of "its on the house, you are the hottest people I have seen in here". Trying to earn a good tip? I don't know, I don't care, I just wanted dinner for me and my 2 teenagers. After he is done talking to them, he comes by our table again, I let him know we are still missing a few items, he then says "are you sure you even ordered that?" we reply "yes" he replies "I'm going to check my order ticket" as if we were making it up. He brought the items without saying if he "checked his ticket" so I assume it was on the ticket. Finally, he brings me a plate, I look at it, I ask him, is this nachos? or a taco salad? He says "OH SHIT my bad, good call, those are nachos I'll be right back". He comes back with the taco salad, says sorry about the mix up and again blames the other servers for messing up his food then goes on to explain how he should not even be bringing us food, "just so you know, when it's busy like this next time you come in you will have to get your own food, I'm doing you a favor this time though, I shouldn't have to bring this to you." At that point I bit my tongue from telling him we will never be back again so no worries. We ordered cinnamon rolls when we ordered the rest of the food, he stopped by again saying "just come yell at me when you guys want those" which we said ok. A few minutes later he brings them in togo boxes and sets them on the table. At that point I told him just bring boxes for the rest of the food. I realized this is not the most family friendly place, my teenagers are older and not shocked by cursing, but for lack of vocabulary or what I don't know, this guy nonstop cursed each time he came by the table, even just passing by, talking to himself, always cursing. Also, if the new owner is reading this, your staff goes out the back patio door multiple times to smoke, it's not cigarettes. I'm guessing they are trying to get away with it since you are new. The servers name was Travis.
The Food:
- Baked Beans: I'm sure some people like these, more of a chili than the normal baked beans my kids expected, they didn't like it. Not horrible, just not what was expected.
- Burger: pretty simple, giant burger, way too much ketchup but otherwise it was normal.
- Bean Burrito: Looked kind of burnt on the outside to me but my daughter liked it.
- Taco Salad: I disliked the meat, the shell was great if only there wasn't like, a soup in the bottom of it. I ended up eating the top of the shell and dipping it in the sour cream.
- Corn Bread: This was great, this is the one reason I didn't give it one star. The corn bread is good, whatever you do, don't change that.
- Cinnamon Rolls: Pretty dry, but then again they were served to us cold in a togo box. Maybe if they were heated they would have been better. read more
