I was excited to try this place because of the view and the overall vibe. It's located in a cute hotel a short walk from Pike's Market, and it was a beautiful sunny day in Seattle. My friend and I found a seat inside- it was dirty, but we were happy to get a seat. We were told we had to order at the bar (no problem). But when I went to the bar, the service I got was so rude. The bartender acted like it was a hassle to serve me in every way. He didn't garnish my drink and threw the straw in it like he was pissed at the world. I then tipped (because I also work in the service industry) and only then realize that gratuity is INCLUDED?? Excuse me?? For a 2 top, gratuity is included?? Someone else told me that was a Seattle thing. Something to be aware of. The view was great. But the atmosphere, the drinks, the prices, and the rude bartender are not worth it.

Not a fan. The Nest has been on my list of rooftop bars to check out. Great service at Vet and the host. We were told if you sit inside you have to order drinks at the bar. If we sit outside then you have waitstaff for food and drinks. We found a table outside, because the Seattle water view. We were then for 10-15 mins, numerous waitstaff walked by, never stopped, never greeted us, so we went inside for self serve. Inside the bartender was clearly catching up with an old friend. He took our orders. Very simple Moscow mule and a crown and coke. Nothing special. It was basically a ton of big ice cubes with vodka and crown with coke. $45 later with bad service it is easy to say we won't be back. The Nest has a great water view but you can find so many others with better service, views and choice of apps.

Good rooftop bar to take out of town visitors. You can get a good view of the bay and the Wheel. Rooftop area has tables, couches, and umbrellas, and the bar also has a decorative indoor area. Elevator access through Thompson Seattle hotel.

The Nest is a sophisicated and upscale rooftop bar, cocktail lounge, and terrace perched atop the Thompson Seattle hotel. Located just above the urban bustle of Pike Place Market you can see the beautiful views of the bay and the sunset was gorgeous! There was also a DJ playing chill music in the background and the firepit was great. Highly recommend for the vibes!

my boyfriend brought me here for my 26th birthday for some drinks and to catch a vibe lol, and i LOVED it! super chill and non chalant. Not that very crowded around the time we went but it was pretty full. I ordered a drink called a spicy bunny lol something like that and it was to DIE FOR ! yummy yet sweet and spice, a perfect balance. The view was amazing, so nice at dark and can overlook the ferris wheel. Highly recommend this place if you wanna go for a gno, date, literally anythingggg

Since I don't go to bars normally, I'm trying not to factor in the taste of my drink in my rating as much as the atmosphere and environment, but either way, my overall experience was kind of meh. Yes, the rooftop views are nice, and so is the lounging area, but that seems to be the main pros of this rooftop bar. We had planned to go on a really cold and chilly night, so we brought extra jackets, which ended up becoming superfluous. In fact, I'd even argue that if you could park in the same building as this bar, you wouldn't even need a jacket at all! The Nest is located on the rooftop of the Thompson Seattle, by Hyatt on the corner of Stewart and 1st. Unless you're willing to go up a dozen flights of stairs, you'll want to take an elevator to the R level. When you enter, you're asked to show your ID to the hostess in front before they can let you in. My group wasn't planning to get any eats since we had some appetizers a couple hours earlier and were planning to get a proper dinner afterwards. I almost thought I'd just swing by without ordering anything, but when I saw their menu had three non-alcoholic drinks, I figured I'd give one a try. The first one, Perch & Percolate, appeared to be caffeinated, however, as the description contained the word "coffee". However, the second and third ones didn't. The second one was Golden Chirp, and that was ordered by a groupmate. That enabled me to decide on the third one: Citrus Soar, which appeared to be pretty no-frills compared to the Golden Chirp, though I found it funny they omitted the letter 'e' in "grapefruit", perhaps a sign of carelessness? It took a couple of minutes for the bartender to make my drink once I told him what I wanted. He barely showed any facial expression during my brief interaction with him, so I question how much he actually wanted to be working that evening even though I didn't really question his ability to mix drinks. He handed me my drink before taking my card to process my payment, but didn't actually tell me how much the total cost was; the menu did indicate $14 for the drink, but I had to wait until he handed me two copies of my receipt. I couldn't tell which was the customer copy and which was the merchant copy, but he said it didn't really matter. Unfortunately, I noticed that he placed my receipts on a wet surface, which caused them to get wet. Kind of a yuck right there! Also, the receipts, unfortunately, were not itemized, so it's impossible to tell what exactly I spent the money on. The Citrus Soar didn't taste too bad overall, but didn't leave much of an impression, which wasn't surprising considering how relatively simple the concoction's ingredients list was in comparison to the other ones, especially of the alcoholic variety. The price is pretty steep at $14; just know that you're paying more for the views, which may not be as good as Kerry Park, but still quite nice nonetheless. You can even see the Pike Place Market from there! After a long and hard day of work, it's nice to chill by one of their two fire pits and enjoy the views of Downtown Seattle with some drinks in hand. And maybe some eats too as they did serve some food that sounded delicious upon first glance of the menu. The rooftop has an outdoor dining tent that you can sit inside in case it gets too cold outside. However, it was pretty toasty inside during our visit. I had brought a sweater and a jacket thinking I'd be freezing there, but I placed both articles of clothing on a chair while I was enjoying my drink inside that tent. Also, the restrooms were situated before the entrance, so when I went to use the restroom, I was almost afraid I'd get carded again to return to my group. Clearly not the best setup here. Overall, it was an okay experience. I wouldn't be opposed to coming back, but I'm almost certainly going to choose the Golden Chirp on a return visit if by night, or the Perch & Percolate if by day.

Great views and everyone should try it at least once and it's a great place to take out of towners. I went this past Sunday with a group of friends and while we loved the view, the prices are extremely expensive for what you get. You're definitely paying for the view. It was a great experience but I can find better deals that don't cost an arm in the leg. Also the music is terrible

The drinks were really good and well made. They had a lot of unique options on the menu, which I loved. The view is also really lovely. That's about where it stops though. It's kind of a free for all with seating and whatnot and they seem to admit anyone and everyone with an ID, so there might not be any tables or seating when you get inside. You order at the bar so if it's just you, your seat will be snatched up when you go to order. The "wherever you sit you'll have a server" comment the hostess gave us was a bit confusing once we realized there were no servers coming around. Just ordering at the bar and sometimes someone would come clear a table for someone who was already sitting down as the previous party left. It was really lovely but I'd recommend a reservation or the VIP section which had like 3 people in it if you don't want to have to fight for a spot, but with the cost of drinks that feels overpriced to me still as it's the same view but further down the roof. I'd come back for drinks for a special occasion and do a res.

One of the best roof top bar in the city. I stayed at this hotel thompson for 4 days and everynight/ evening i went there for my drinks and for bar bites. Eevryday Lisa served me and she is amazing, sweetheart and the best. Tried pretty much all the cocktails in their menu and all of them were served in a proper glass with chilled temperature. Best chedder popcorn they have and pizza. Beautiful view from inside and outside also serves and has an arrangement of mid group for private events.

the view here is so nice! there's indoor and outdoor seating. there's a bar inside and you aren't limited to what's on the menu. they also have food as well. it does eventually get packed. it's a nice rooftop ocean and city view type of place. bright but also classy touch inside. the staff is also super sweet and helpful with everything! i usually enjoy a moscow mule but it's always made different at different locations. the one here was pretty good!

Came here to try catch the sunset but it ended being a cloudy day. Got the Pink Pony Club which has Ketel One Vodka, Strawberry Liqueur, Vanilla, Grapefruit, Lemon. And came with two sour patch kids skewered on top. I sort of understand the concept of the sour patch kids on top but I also don't. I think adding a slice of lime, orange, or any fruit would be more aesthetic and delicious. I enjoyed the citrusy notes of the cocktail but felt that the drink could've benefited by having some ice to keep it cool and refreshing - on theme with the refreshing-ness that the grapefruit and lemon brings. It was $20 but an automatic service charge of 20% is added no matter the size of your party. Going on a Sunday around 6:30pm, the server walked past our table multiple times before getting to us or even addressing us that they will be there in a second. Overall, drinks are pricey and you're paying for the premium of having a view of the Puget Sound.

I brought some out of town friend here near the end of the summer for happy hour! The three of us arrived shortly after opening at 4pm, and were able to find outdoor rooftop seating. The staff were very friendly, even giving us a free drink that was accidentally made! While the atmosphere could very easily be for an upscale date night, my friends and I casually played some cards on the roof with out cocktails and felt very comfortable. This is a must-go location for a view of the water!

Rooftop bar near Pike's Place with nice views of Elliott Bay. It's walk in only unless you went to pay a non refundable $50 to reserve the VIP couch area. We were led up quickly by the hostess downstairs at the Thompson Hotel. It's open seating so we found a table easily. The gloomy weather and drizzle probably helped and explained why it was not crowded. We tried to open the umbrella at the table as it was raining lightly and also obstructing the view but they quickly came over to us to keep it closed due to wind, which there wasn't much of, and told us that the umbrellas are for shade not rain protection. Very odd for Seattle where there's more rain than sun! Drinks were good, although expensive. I had the pink pony which comes with a sour patch kid garnish for some whimsy. Didn't see nor was offered a food menu, so can only wish to drinks. Staff was friendly. Nice spot for a drink and view but was honestly underwhelmed by the decor and the umbrella incident was really odd.

YOU SPIN ME RIGHT ROUND..! 4.5…read more The level below the main observation deck of Seattle's Space Needle is home to The Loupe Lounge, which features the world's first revolving glass floor. Many years ago, I dined at the Space Needle when it was still home to its famous rotating restaurant. SkyCity Restaurant closed in 2017, and the revamped observation experience reopened in 2018. Today, The Loupe Lounge offers a very different experience, with a revolving glass floor that provides mesmerizing views straight down to the Needle's structure, elevators, and the streets far below. It's a fascinating perspective you simply can't get from an ordinary observation deck. The Loupe Lounge operates seasonally in the fall and closes from May through August. Since we visited the Space Needle in June, the full experience was unavailable. However, we were still able to access the roped-off lounge area for $35 each, which included two cocktails and two delicious burgers. We lingered in the lounge for at least 45 minutes, the time it takes the glass floor to complete a full 360-degree rotation and return to its starting point. It was wonderfully uncrowded, with only our table and one other party in the roped-off area. Access to this section is restricted to guests 21 and older, although visitors of all ages can enjoy the surrounding observation areas. During the fall season, the entire lounge floor is reserved for guests 21 and older. The fall-season menu features exclusive cocktail and culinary experiences, complete with show-stopping mixology and eye-catching food towers. Reservations must be prepaid, and guests select their preferred tower when booking. Each package also includes VIP elevator access to the lounge. Depending on your selection, the price can be quite steep; however, it also includes admission to the observation deck, which alone can represent a $100-plus value for two. Whether you visit at sunset or after dark, The Loupe Lounge offers a wonderfully romantic setting, with a unique vantage point that makes the experience feel even more special. We'd love to return one day in the fall or spring and reserve the full experience.

Past visit 2+ years ago the reservation is through Tock. Recently the reservation is through OpenTable so I thought the points credits will be honored here as they are in the OpenTable network, so I redeemed points to discount $8, only to not be applied to the bill since the reservation $15 per person is a deposit and refunded on seating, instead of most places where the deposit deducts the cost of the final bill. None of the bartenders could do anything, and didn't bother raising this to management (probably downstairs at Tavern Law could've remedied the situation but the short turnaround time implied they didn't try). Additionally, when I got my drink, the bartender did not bother taking a second look to see there's a bug. It was deep inside the drink, not at the top, so the bug did not just fly and land on the drink after being served. So it was a bit negligent, especially given they jacked up the price from $21 to $25 in just 2 years. The price increase did not justify the quality, if anything, price went up significantly and quality dropped... The bartender addressed the issue by remaking the drink but the drink was noticeably smaller than the original one. It would only have made sense if I drank a lot of it, but I only had small sip stopped when I saw the bug. The experience was very frustrating overall that I didn't wish to tip, only to find out they added a 20%+ service charge without my consent when I looked at the credit card statement. That is fraud. Fraudulently adding a tip to yourself earned you a 1 star. Otherwise this would've been more a 3 star experience due to the miss from the bug, and the OpenTable issue.
