Couldn't even get a table because the hostesses were so rude. My wife is 8 months pregnant and was drinking a seltzer water and was very rudely told that she couldn't come in. After getting rid of the water, we were told it would be 20 minutes to get a table while there was one clearly available (we were looking for a table for 2 and they had two 4-tops). I asked if this was a reserved table and the hostess told me that she couldn't give it to us because then she couldn't sit parties of 6 or more. Chose to leave at that point. If the service is representative of the food quality, we are probably better off. Update: My vacation was great. There was no alcohol involved in this incident. You clearly don't want to listen to the other side which is fine. Run your business the way you wish. This review should be ZERO STARS!! We arrived at 8:50pm. The first thing that was horrible was that the woman who is supposed to seat people was blocking the right side of the stairs and talking on the phone. Being totally engrossed in her phone conversation, but looking at my 84 year old mother in law who is 4'6" tall hanging onto the railing to climb the steep steps, she fails to move out of the way!! The second bad thing, 4 employees walk by us and ignore us as we are trying to be seated, only to wait for the woman to get off the phone, she comes over to us to tell us that they are not seating anymore customers. REALLY????? SUPER BAD EXPERIENCE!!!!! We told 4 other parties that pulled in that you weren't serving any longer, so you lost a lot of sales and future sales. POOR BUSINESS DECISION!!! read more

We have been coming here for years. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with our food. The recipes have changed. Bring back the original Rustica Pizza! It was our favorite! I tend to rely on Yelp to make restaurant choices, the 4 star rating is not accurate. I'll guarantee you the owners of this restaurant added ratings of their own to attract business. We've searched the area for good pizza, to date it has eluded us. This is boring flat bread pizza. The person working the counter told us the pizza had garlic and fresh basil on it which appealed to us. I had one or two little pieces of fresh basil and not one hint of garlic. Do not eat here, food was terrible. Special was Chicken Cacciatore, burnt overcooked sauce with vegetables minced, three very tough chickletts of chicken, most likely less than an ounce of meat. What a shame. This place is lovely to look at and has a great location. The staff is helpful and attentive. This, unfortunately, is where the good news ends. The food is simply horrible. The chicken is old and utterly without flavor and the pasta is starchy and one big oily, congealed mess. Nothing has any flavor. None whatsoever. Massive doses of parmesan cheese and salt do nothing to address the problem. We didn't try the pizza so, to be fair, this might be very good. I really didn't want to eat here because I didn't like the owner's response to posts on yelp. I know it's always tough to get unhappy reviews, but the owner's responses exhibited a defensiveness that bordered on nasty, quite a demonstration of how not to respond to a negative review on Yelp. However, between the winter season and Ogunquit's main street construction, we were left with almost no choices for dinner, so we finally hoofed it over to the nearest pizza place for a warm dinner and a craft beer. The service tonight was amazing, deserves a special shout-out, and is the impetus for writing this review at all. Sierra, the bartender, was exceptional, and for more than the friendly greeting. When we ordered beer, she asked me if I wanted a sample of mine first, and I'm really glad she did. Turned out, I didn't really like it and I ordered the lager instead. (The original beer wasn't bad; just wasn't to my taste. So glad she offered, because I'm the type of person who would dutifully drink something I didn't really care for.) When we ordered pizza, she informed us that the type we had ordered didn't have tomato sauce and asked whether that was okay. We had totally missed the fact that it was a white pizza and as we mulled over what we wanted instead, she put in our appetizer order and slipped us the remote control for the tv behind the bar. Even though she should have been swamped with all the to-go orders she was taking, her attitude was friendly and unhurried and we were never left unattended. The fries and bruschetta were fantastic. I'm not quite sure what made the fries so fantastic; they were topped with crushed pepper and coarse salt, but something else gave them a flavor that made us put in a second order. Eventually, we ended up taking the pizza to go because we had filled up on appetizers. One thing to be aware of: the brick oven does seem to char things, as many of the other reviews on here have noted. The pizza and bruschetta bread we ordered had a charred edge. Personally, I enjoy the flavor of brick-oven char, but if you have a picky child I wouldn't recommend ordering delivery from here. read more

The girl on the phone wasn't the friendliest but it was a busy time of night as the wait for delivery was 1.5 hours.. I didn't mind the wait because when the pizza came it was delicious! Close to our resort; I come here every year. This time however the portions were smaller, and food wasn't as good. It's pretty pricey, which isn't an issue if the food was amazing..... But it wasn't. Must be new chefs, staff wasn't very friendly. In the past dining in and taking out our experience was excellent. Bottom line food was edible, maybe they were having an off night. This is one of the best Italian restaurants we have ever been to! The pizza we ordered had such a good taste, with fresh basil and tangy tomato sauce. My son ordered wings, which were perfect! They were crispy on the outside but tender on the inside, not greasy at all. The cannolis for dessert were delicious, too. We stopped in this restaurant while on vacation, but I have to say if we were locals, this is a place where we would definitely become regulars. read more

Thought we would try one of the other pizza places in town. Loved cornerstone and Seacoast pizza so we decided to give this place a try. The pizza we ordered didn't come out like we expected at all. White onions instead of red. Italian sausage where it wasn't supposed to be. And what I assume was supposed to be basil that looked more like rotten kale or collard greens. The pizza looked like what I would expect from a back alley joint. Was already a late night for us with our child so didn't have time to deal with returning the pizza or calling to try and get something else. After our experience we don't want anything else anyways. The place smelt like old body odor as soon as you cross the doorway. And after seeing the pizza and regrettably eating some of it I highly recommend skipping this place and going elsewhere. This place was simple and easy, but still very nice! Pizzas were tasty, drinks were good and cold. We'll definitely return. The only suggestion I have for Pizza Napoli is that they figure out the tables vs. pizza size problem. Our pizzas took up or whole table and it was dangerous to have the hot pans right in our kids faces. I think Pizza Napoli needs some tableside trays or something like that. read more

A great pizza place! My mom and I ordered the large Napoli to split, but we could have shared the small. It's a thin crust, but still filling. Very fresh. I had a poor experience at Pizza Napoli the other day when eating with my boyfriend. I'll give it two stars for the outdoor seating. Inside, however, gave me bad vibes, and was crammed. If you're looking for a great brick oven pizza and antipasto you will not be disappointed. The wait for a table on a Tuesday night was about 30 minutes. Service was great once we got a table. Opted to try the house sangria and was not disappointed.if I had to find criticisms it was the dirty plate and tight parking in front of the restaurant.
