This is the worst nail salon I've ever entered. Called to get the price of a simple pink fill in on my own nails ,which has a overlay. I was told $45 dollors. Went in no technicians available. Had to wait. Then looked at their posted charges for services. Two places on that said $45 for gel fill. The tech came over and said $75. 00 for a tiny pink fill in. Now I totally see why the shop across the street had about 6 people in line and nobody waiting here. I really don't like giving 1 star reviews but damn, this place did nothing correct. To kick it off, they couldn't keep straight which technician was working on which customer. Then, the technician who worked on me was on a FaceTime with her sister the ENTIRE TIME. Yes, she legit propped up her phone and just kept the convo going. I asked for a simple gel manicure, which I eventually got. But it wasn't a good one. I got sick of asking her to fix shit so I eventually just left. $40 for total shit work. I got this manicure on Thursday evening. It's not Tuesday afternoon and this manicure didn't stand a chance. Went to get a gel pedicure, during the first nail application I informed the pedicurist that the polish should be replaced. She in turn laughed and told me it was okay she would fix it, and make it work. She proceeded to apply additional coats on top of the chunky application and told me still it was fine. So another nail tech came and went over my feet with additional coats in a feeble attempt to "fix it"... I advised it would be best to take it off and use a different gel polish. So again they laughed and told me it was fine it looks good, she knew what she was doing. So the final coat goes on and I point out the application errors and request again for them to be redone. She told me no and that she would take off the gel and charge me for the foot bath ($28). They proceeded to lock the door immediately following me advising i would not pay for a dissatisfactory service. There were three other women of color in the shop whom agreed with me when i asked but said nothing aloud. They then began to yell in my face and told me i had two minutes to pay, i then called the police and advised I was being held against my will. They send two officers who basically tell me not paying is theft, they asked them if they would be willing to redo my feet... they of course agreed. Well as soon as the officers leave they take off ONE toe nail polish and redo it, and ask for payment. I will NEVER return here, I paid with credit and intend to dispute the charge because what I received was not what I paid for. Please if you are a black woman, speak up when you see injustices and other women being made out to be a joke. I've been coming here for over a DECADE because of the service I have ALWAYS gotten. The owner (Cindy) knows EXACTLY how I want my nails; all I have to tell her about is the color or design & it's perfect EVERY time! They have 8 massage chairs; one at each pedicure station. In fact, as of this moment (7:39pm) , I am sitting at one of those very stations. I've noticed quite a few complaints here regarding cost. Without fail, as SOON as someone walks in to be serviced, they are told they ONLY do gel. It's typically AFTER the service has been completed that there is a problem. If one takes their car to a shop, they (more often than not) inquire about the price. I recommend doing the same thing in this instance. I have no qualms about the cost because I know I'm going to get quality. I also tip accordingly (at minimum 20%) but again, that's me & this is MY personal experience. If I break a nail, Cindy fixes it @ no charge. Not sure I'd be going to a nail salon if I was worried about the cost; there are probably more important things to focus on in that case. Oftentimes, you get what you pay for which is why nearby nail salons are so busy. Think quality, not quantity. Cindy is a SWEETHEART & PHENOMENAL at what she does; couldn't PAY me to "cheat" on her! This is the dirtiest business I have ever been in. Every surface is caked with grime and filth. I also had a horrible manicure - the lady doing my nails had her phone propped in her face and was FaceTiming the entire time she was doing my nails and she wasn't even looking at my hands while attempting a manicure. She also didn't do a base coat for my gel manicure and I told her "you need to do a base coat" and she said "no base coat makes it chip" and I should have known better because the thousands of other gel manicures I've had needed a base coat. But she insisted, and it's the same day I received my $47 gel manicure and it's already chipping because there was no base coat. I'm not even going to go back to have them fix it because there's no way I'm stepping foot back into that repulsively dirty business. read more

I went in on a Friday afternoon to get my gel dipped nails taken off. I waited for 30 mins while others who came in before me got taken care of. Apparently only one of the technicians deal with acrylics. When it was finally my time, the technician was watching a show on her phone while taking my nails off. Not only was the noise from the phone and while the TV was on irritating, it made me worry she wasn't paying attention. Isn't that the first thing you learn to do? My gel polish was very bumpy (I didn't say anything because she seemed like she just wanted to be done since she had another client waiting). I have been going here for about 10 years now. I love Cindy #2 (owner) it's pricy but she does amazing work for me to have such little nail beds. A lot of the reviews are about the owner, she's not rude she's just straight forward with everyone, she's not going to kiss your ass. A little underwhelmed by The Nail Compnay. I had great expectations from the pictures and reviews I saw on Instagram for their nail tech, Mike. So I decided to make an appointment to go in. The location is convenient for me. Prices aren't terrible. It's a clean, nice and open space. Mike did a good job but I thought he would jazz it up a bit (I told him to do whatever he wanted, that I wanted glitter lol). Being in the industry of beauty, stylists, nail techs, makeup artists are very creative beings, but he came up a little short in the creativity department) He was polite. We carried on a nice conversation, which I loved, seeing that communication can be an issue sometimes in a lot of local nail shops. I might go back again to give them another chance. I'm in a time crunch so I went at 10:30, one pedicure client and one nail client being served. The lady owner was doing nails was as soon as I walked in and said I wanted a pedicure, she barked out they ONLY use gel polish and the pedicure was $50.00!! Outrageous. I only go there for Ann. I should have known i would have issues with this place when there was no wait and the surrounding nail salons had an hour or more wait . The lady that did my nails convinced me that i needed a new set . I agreed because i am looking for a new nail salon and wanted to get a f full feel of their work . The lady stayed on FaceTime the entire duration of my service . My nails were so thin , 3 of them split on the slide and eventually broke off . I went back to the salon to show them what happened. I was told that the lady no longer works there (which i believe was a lie) and that i needed a new set again because of how thin these were . The set was only two weeks old and I'm confused as to why i would need a new set to resolve the issue of them being thin when acrylic would just be added on top . Visiting from out of town, needed a fast mani/pedi for a wedding. Bright airy space, not the cleanest I have been too, but just fine. The staff was very accommodating and friendly: helped me pick a color (I can never decide!) and gave me speedy service when I explained I was in a time crunch. My shellac mani is one of the best I have had, and regular pedi is great even though I asked her to rush through it. I will come back here if I ever get the chance. read more

I waited for 40 minutes two days in a row. That's fine, it's a small shop I expect to wait. Each day, someone that came after me was given service before me!! The first time I just left with no comment. The second day I said something to the woman running the shop and she gave me an excuse like that girl only wanted a fill in but bc I wanted a manicure and a pedicure, I would have to wait. I was literally sitting in the water just waiting for service while they helped someone who came after me. I even heard the person on the second day say they didn't have an appointment either. I ask for a towel and the owner starts screaming and yelling at me telling me I'm playing games bc I left two days in a row. I didn't like this place because I went with my sister and they did a bad job on both of us. They had cut her skin off with the drill tool and they had taxed her $5 extra for no reason just because she had card and the nail length costed $10 extra dollars and they were short short. Also the Cuticle oil was not applied and our hands were dried and ya got everywhere. They had left dents in my nail and refused to fix it .The paint job was terrible nail polish was everywhere and they were trying to tax for putting another coat of nail polish that we had brought with us from home Also she was watching a show on Netflix while doing her nails and barely was paying attention to what she was doing and that is disrespectful especially when someone is paying you to do a job. Sadly, today was my last visit. I've been going to see Ann for a pedicure for years. The guys that owned this place before ran a very professional business. Always friendly, gave you the truth on the wait time, etc. Once it sold, the aging ex-beauty queen owner grabbed the reigns and up went the prices, quality went down, dirty interior (even with a new remodel). I hate to give a '1'; I always give someone the benefit of the doubt, but even people I recommended disliked their experience. I also understand a rate increase due to inflation. I knew the once $25 pedicure (not gender specific) wouldn't last long. Today, I noticed the menu listed "$28 & up'. When I went to pay, the owner said '$29.....no $30, because you're a guy'. Guy's are usually shy about pedicures; one friend bought $300 worth of her products, then when he returned, she gave him hell for not using them. I am so surprised by all the other reviews. No matter what crazy picture I bring in of a nail design I want Mike pulls it off! I have had nothing but success with this salon and will always go back to Mike!
