Just visited the bar area. Nothing went wrong here. Had a good cider from the tap and a Bud light. Plenty of TV screens for the Amazon football game and you had the ability to order food from two different restaurants to be delivered. My order came in 15 minutes.

Depending on the size of your group & if the room is available, I would recommend booking the VIP room. The open lanes are $35 per person an hour and the VIP room is $45 a person, while you still only get an hour to throw the difference between the two is being in your own private area with the ability to select your own music & you'll have a personal waiter who will periodically stop by to see if you need anything. Online is shows that you need at least six people in your party to book a VIP room, we only had five, but I called ahead of time and asked if there was open space if we could book it anyway. The general manager on that day was awesome & let us book the VIP room since they had plenty of openings on the day we wanted to visit. Upon your arrival you'll enter into their bar & lounge area, where you'll find plenty of seating along with quite a few board games you can play with your family and friends. I found the space to be quite cozy & inviting, we had visited shortly after the holiday season so everything was still decorated for Christmas and added to the charm making it feel more like a winter getaway cabin. The VIP room felt very much the same, it had a nice seating area with three private throwing lanes. We loved being able to pick out our own music to listen to while throwing. If you get hungry they had a menu which offers a few in-house dishes, but also has options from several close businesses. We ordered some sliders & some brussels sprouts from a spot nearby that was featured on their menu. After a short amount of time, our waiter came by to let us know that the food spot was a bit busy & running behind on their order so he was going to extend our time so we could eat and throw some more which was very nice of him. Drink wise, you can order soda and alcohol from the bar. We loved that the lanes had a tablet that allowed you to choose from a number of games to be projected onto the throwing boards. One of my personal favorites was the tic-tac-toe and competing against my husband to see who would win. The kids had a fun time with the zombie target practice, and the darts style throwing. We were having so much fun that the hour along with the extra fifteen minutes we were given, completely flew by! The regular throwing lanes had quite a few people when we arrived, but still offered plenty of space to walk through without feeling like you were in the way of anyone. The arcade area offered mostly pinball machines, but we love them so we were exited to check it out after our timeslot was over. I was actually kind of surprised that when our time slot was over & we came out of the VIP room that all of the regular throwing lanes were completely empty & we were the only party left, so we were able to have the whole arcade to ourselves. This is definitely a spot we would want to come back to!

Had such a good date night with my husband! So many options for games and also great drinks and environment. Our host was awesome and really helpful. We're from Seattle but have an airbnb in AZ so we come here often and will definitely be back!

    Axe throwing and football!!

My wife and I got caught at the bar waiting for a reservation across the street , after 2-3 delicious cocktails, and finding out that they also serve mellow mushroom and cook and craft, we ended up staying for some more! Bar was a enjoyable to just relax and watch some college football. What we didn't expect was that our bartender Nick would convince us to actually go throw axes!! He seamlessly transitioned us into our own throwing lane in the back, where chas took over and taught us how to throw. They helped make the entire experience wonderful and easy. This place is perfect if you just wanna drink some cold beer and watch sports and even better if you want to throw axes, drink cold beer, AND throw axes

Went there with my family after a normal dinner, had a beautiful time with our Axe-Pert Chasity! She taught my children and I how to throw and then when we were almost done, the manager came over and gave us a little more time so we didn't have to rush through our intense game of connect four! :) would recommend for anyone looking for a chill place to hangout, the vibes and aesthetic are one of a kind

My review may be unconventional, but I hope it's helpful. So, I didn't throw axes during my visit. I actually wandered in to enjoy a nonalcoholic beverage and read my book for an hour before a comedy show two doors down. The staff's kindness truly stood out to me. They went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable, from offering to close the door to the hot outside to refreshing my water while I simply sat there sipping away killing time. That level of kindness goes a long way, so when I'm ready to throw axes one day, this is definitely a spot I'd return to. Everyone was wonderful, and Hailey really made an impression! She was exceptionally sweet, helped take some fun photos in the lobby, chatted with me about the fun bear slippers they sell, and was a warm, welcoming face as soon as I walked in. I also enjoyed watching several people order food for delivery from the Mellow Mushroom next door--a cool setup that invited tempting smells! Thanks for a lovely memory!

Staff was super friendly and the place had a fun vibe. The ability to play different games by projecting different images onto the board was unique and made the experience more exciting. However, I'm not sure that was worth the price paid for just an hour of throwing. Also, more assistance throughout the hour of throwing may have made the experience more enjoyable for those new to axe throwing.

What a fun experience for our team event. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. They had a great selection of beers to include locals. Our instructor Mitchell was amazing...So patient and gave us great tips to hit the board. The different games made it extra fun! Great for a date night or outing with a group of friends.

Super fun spot! Great selection on tap, atmosphere had a good vibe, they have a game room, axe throwing, TV's, patio, etc. Check out their VIP room for big events! Grab dinner nearby on High street before you come and then come here for the fun! They don't have food here but they do have a food runner that will go pick up your order for you at any of the restaurants on High St (if you prefer to eat there). We will definitely be back, this is a great edition to all of the other amazing places on High Street! Highly recommend!

AMAZING SERVICE!!!! After my first visit, I want to become a regular!!! Great drink selection - beers on tap and hard alcohol. Haven't done the axe throwing yet, maybe one day... Looks fun. Til then, I'll be at the bar :) Maybe I'll play some games in there too: board games or arcade. I hope this place sticks around.

We almost always end up here for dinner, especially before heading over to the Improv right nearby. It's a great place to relax, grab a good meal, and start the night. It's almost always busy, which says a lot about how popular it is. My best tip is to add your name to the waitlist online before arriving -- it saves a lot of time. Once you're seated, there are so many menu options to choose from, plus a huge drink selection and tons of beers on tap. My go-to meal is the steak bowl, and it never disappoints. The flavor is absolutely perfect every time. I also love that it's on their under-700-calorie menu, which makes it a great option when I'm in contest prep and trying to stay on track. Even better, it's already in MyFitnessPal, so it's super easy when I'm tracking my macros. The only thing I'd mention is that because it's usually packed, the wait staff can be a little hit or miss depending on how busy they are. Overall though, it's still a solid spot for a good meal and drinks, especially if you're spending time at Desert Ridge.

Chunks of beet on short skewers and wrapped with a large basal leaf. The beef itself was exceptionally good. For an entree, I went with the New York strip with a side of asparagus and off the cobb corn elote. The strip was slightly overcooked, I ordered medium and it came well done. Bummer! Asparagus was very grilled and tender. We wrapped up the meal with two pieces of Flan topped with coconut. Delightful ! Restaurant is a little unusual with respect to layout but very functional. The bad is in my opinion, how poorly this incident with sleeveless Steve was handled. I've been dancing over 35 years, I currently have a very large dance group in the Phoenix Metropolitan area called Honky Tonk Dancerz. I bring a lot of people to Foley Ranch to enjoy the food, the great Service and the ambience of the country western music and great dance floor to dance on. Over the past several months I've gotten a chance to get to know Steve and I find him very pleasant, very kind to the lady he dances with and respectful. He is a product of the new style of country swing, that you have your instructors teach this style on Thursday nights. In my opinion, there is a lack of instruction on Dancefloor etiquette and feeling the music, by that I mean, actually dancing to the music, not alongside of it. Steve dances as he was instructed by the instructors that you bring on the dance floor and teach new dancers how to dance. Steve dances exactly like all the other new dancers dance. If you have a problem with Steve and the way he dances, then you have a problem with all the other people that have been instructed by the instructors that you bring to Foley Ranch. And in regard to the comment that was made by Dan B, where Steve grab the arm of a lady and drug her to the dance floor, that's BS and that is never happened. Like other people have said in comment and in Steve's defense women can say no and that's their prerogative. If they don't like the way he's dancing with them on the dance floor then they need to open their mouth and tell him to take it easy I don't like the way you're dancing or I'm not gonna dance with you again. It's very obvious that Dan B and his group are not part of the dance community like Steve and many others that have commented in Steve's defense. Last weekend, I spoke with Garcia the floor manager and introduced myself and the concerns that I had when I heard about Steve being 86. I asked a lot of other dancers in the dance community, what their thoughts were on this. Some have already commented on here. And I feel it's my obligation to the dance community to do so also. I would be more than happy to sit down and speak with management and give my further thought as to how the situation can be resolved. Thank you, Bobby Honky Tonk Dancerz

You can tell right away this is the kind of place regulars come back to often. Food I didn't try much food, but I did have the cheese crisp and it was solid. Light, flaky, and more like an open-faced tostada than a quesadilla. It came topped with green chili and chicken, and everything worked well together. Based on that, I'd expect the rest of the menu to be consistent, even if it's not trying to reinvent the wheel. Service Service was efficient, especially considering how busy it was. No complaints here... you can tell the staff knows how to handle a full house and keep things moving. Ambience This is where the place stands out. The vibe feels like a food network designed a biker bar, but in a fun, not over-the-top way. It's also apparently a Kansas City Chiefs bar, which adds to the identity. There was a live band playing early 2000s rock hits, which kept the energy up. Crowd was friendly overall, very much a neighborhood crowd. Overall This isn't a destination bar, but it's a really solid go-to if you live nearby. Think of it as an elevated dive/sports bar with a strong local following. Good drinks, good energy, and a place that does what it's supposed to do well.
