Nice clean venue with plenty of stalls in the restrooms, no cover the night we were there and a very good acoustic system that did not blow one's ears out! They have a wide stage area and plenty of standing room in front of it to watch the bands and listen to the music. To the left and right of the stage were numerous TV showing sports. After 10:30 they turned off the TVs and just had their logo on the screens. The servers came by numerous times and all in all it was a was very pleasant venue.

Large space that is sectioned into two. Had a blast at adult Disney trivia years ago and recently enjoyed stumbling into an Ozzy Osborne tribute band. I've also met a large group for a moms day out. A friend has come for comedy shows and country dancing nights. So this is a great local spot for a variety of things! Wonderful addition to Desert Ridge Drag Brunch was so fun! We had a group of 5 girls for boy band morning brunch. The fact that they made the apps and drinks menu special with coinciding boy band names added to the fun

We have been here several times for live music, speaking engagements, and comedy shows but this was my first time coming for what we came for ... a drag show! We went to the Wicked theme drag brunch and as a first timer, I sure did learn a lot, so allow me to share my novice advice. First, buy your tickets online ahead of time and then have your party arrive early to get a good seat and/or to order food. It's gets pretty loud and it's hard for the servers to take a whole table's order over the music and performances. The website said there was a "2 drink minimum" but I couldn't tell if that was per person or just an average of 2 per person per table. Seemed more like average per table when we went this time. I know when we there previously it was a strict "2 per person". We were celebrating a birthday so there was no shortage of drinks being ordered anyway. There were specialty cocktails that were themed and were fun but seemed pricey ($18-$25 each). Second, bring lots singles (as in $1 dollar bills). I was not prepared for this aspect and felt bad as other people were giving the performers money as they came near the table. You can chose other denominations obviously if you want to be a big tipper. Third, enjoy yourself! It took me a few songs to get into it, just because I had never seen Wicked (I know) but they did a great job telling the story and also mixed in other well known songs in. They were also very funny and interactive with the crowd. They interacted with every table throughout the entire performance. Their outfits and makeup were incredible, truly impressive. They really made sure everyone had a fantastic time. Everyone was laughing, cheering, smiling, and dancing at their tables. Fourth, get into the theme. Dress up, coordinate outfits with your party, exaggerate your makeup, whatever makes it more fun for you makes it more fun for everyone. I can't wait for some Christmas themed shows and to go more prepared next time.

The ambiance is always great very relaxing. The space is a bit tight for someone like myself in a wheelchair but the staff went above and beyond to accommodate my needs. The food was ok they took off a lot of items from the last time I was there that I was looking forward to but the drink specials were spot on.

CB Lives is still the best place to see comedy show and live music in North Scottsdale or Phoenix. I love this place because the vibes were amazing. The 4 stars are for the live music, comedy and the waitress, but the hostess was okay not great. We've been coming here for the stand up comedy at least once every couple months, but the hostess always trying to put us in very back table and at the meantime the middle tables were available, why???? The drink was good and the food was okay.

Love the shows but the food and drinks are mediocre. We ordered chicken nachos and they were cold so we sent them back. The second one also came out cold. We saw other people send their fries back because they were cold, also. The chicken in the nachos was overcooked. We have had the nachos before and the quality has gone down. We did enjoy the show, though.

I went for a drag brunch with some friends. The space is nice as I've been before for a different event. It was big and inviting lots of space and room to get comfortable. We sat at the high tops with two people we didn't know but it was cool. It was really busy so service was kinda slow. There was a limited menu which kinda sucked there were only a few options and my food came out lukewarm at best, and took forever to come so I didn't send it back. The drinks had cute names but were weak so I stuck to shots! I had a breakfast burrito and it was egg heavy warm and just ok the salsa was good though.

Huge! Quick stop in for a drink on a Saturday evening. There was of course live music just about to start. Lucky us! We sat at the bar. We were greeted quickly from the Newbie Bartender! Thanks girl! I have to come back to try that menu, it looks tasty! Oh! Yeah live music was nice too!

Before anything I mention in this review I want to note this has NOTHING TO DO WITH THE DRAG QUEENS. ALL OF THOSE WOMEN ARE FABULOUS! I am sad to report this is my 3rd time at this facility and though lack of service has never been up to par, today truly the icing on the cake for me to not return to this venue in the future. My group of 6 bought VIP tickets. Followed instructions emailing the info address listed on their page. A gentleman name Luke from standup live replied and said our seats were "good to go". I told the front desk who laughed at me stating they didn't know of any "Luke". (Disrespected before even walking in the front door). The manager came out and was able to accommodate our party for a booth, as requested. Our server, who never gave us his name or introduced himself took our drink orders and asked he first round came out a decent time. After we got our first round of drinks and finished we waited for our server for over 30 minutes to place another order 4 out of the 5 people at the table ordered all you can drink mimosas and only had one round after 30 minutes. It seems like our server avoided our table. Finally a nice gentleman named DJ was able to help us out as we signaled for someone. We explained the situation and confused why our server was ignoring us. Our table gained the impression it was a discrimination instance to where I am fully disappointed in the staff that is hired at this establishment. I understand the fast paced environment as I have worked as a bartender for several popular restaurants, but the way we wet treated by this white server seemed like he didn't want to give us the attention we deserved. Luckily my friend on the end had a word with the manager, and it seems like she was aware. No formal apology to the group. This shout out is going to DJ who handled a shitty situation and went above and beyond to make sure we got the drinks we ordered. The other half of this staff could learn a few things from this guy. If this guy ever needs a job please contact me! There are tons of other drag shows out there with the same community. Go elsewhere. Avoid being mistreated and get your moneys worth elsewhere.

    Dualing pianos and the crowd.
    Jim K.

We came for the dueling pianos, food, drink and a good time. Started really rough. Very busy, busier than they expected! Pizza came out uncooked and my drink was bad! They made up for it! A new pizza cooked and tasted great and a fresh drink that was also great with their apologies. Marley our server was great and she was running her tail off! We had a great time and really enjoyed what could have been a disastrous night. Thank you for making it right!

I always enjoy the comedy shows and love that they have good lineups. We have seen shows with "free" tickets and paid for them as well. The menu is decent for bar food, I would recommend the cheese steak sandwich w/ fries. It can be a bit pricey for what you get but you don't have to eat dinner there; there's so many options around them. The servers and hosts are friendly. Overall I'm rating the entertainment because we are always looking forward to going.

The bad is in my opinion, how poorly this incident with sleeveless Steve was handled. I've been dancing over 35 years, I currently have a very large dance group in the Phoenix Metropolitan area called Honky Tonk Dancerz. I bring a lot of people to Foley Ranch to enjoy the food, the great Service and the ambience of the country western music and great dance floor to dance on. Over the past several months I've gotten a chance to get to know Steve and I find him very pleasant, very kind to the lady he dances with and respectful. He is a product of the new style of country swing, that you have your instructors teach this style on Thursday nights. In my opinion, there is a lack of instruction on Dancefloor etiquette and feeling the music, by that I mean, actually dancing to the music, not alongside of it. Steve dances as he was instructed by the instructors that you bring on the dance floor and teach new dancers how to dance. Steve dances exactly like all the other new dancers dance. If you have a problem with Steve and the way he dances, then you have a problem with all the other people that have been instructed by the instructors that you bring to Foley Ranch. And in regard to the comment that was made by Dan B, where Steve grab the arm of a lady and drug her to the dance floor, that's BS and that is never happened. Like other people have said in comment and in Steve's defense women can say no and that's their prerogative. If they don't like the way he's dancing with them on the dance floor then they need to open their mouth and tell him to take it easy I don't like the way you're dancing or I'm not gonna dance with you again. It's very obvious that Dan B and his group are not part of the dance community like Steve and many others that have commented in Steve's defense. Last weekend, I spoke with Garcia the floor manager and introduced myself and the concerns that I had when I heard about Steve being 86. I asked a lot of other dancers in the dance community, what their thoughts were on this. Some have already commented on here. And I feel it's my obligation to the dance community to do so also. I would be more than happy to sit down and speak with management and give my further thought as to how the situation can be resolved. Thank you, Bobby Honky Tonk Dancerz

The first thing that stands out is the massive, beautifully maintained outdoor seating area. It's covered, pet-friendly, and thoughtfully designed with fireplaces and privacy walls that give each table a more intimate feel. There's even an outdoor bar where you can grab a drink while you wait or just enjoy the atmosphere. Inside, the décor is incredibly creative. Butcher knives and custom cutting boards line the walls, and the open kitchen showcases hanging meats so you can see everything in action. The bakery area adds another layer of charm, with rolling pins and whisks hanging from the ceiling, it all feels intentional and immersive without being over the top. The menu is just as fun and different as the space itself. I started with the Sicilian wedge and then had to go for what they're known for, the handcrafted meatballs. You can mix and match meatballs with different pastas, but the real showstopper is the "meatball carousel." It lets you sample multiple meatballs with their recommended sauces, all presented on an elaborate Ferris wheel-style display that turns heads across the restaurant. It's a full experience, not just a meal. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious. What truly made the night, though, was our server, Mia. She struck that perfect balance of fun and professional, engaging, attentive, and genuinely enjoyable to interact with. She guided us through the menu, made great recommendations, and brought a level of energy that elevated the entire experience. You can tell she takes pride in what she does, and it shows. For dessert, we went with the traditional Sicilian cannoli stuffed with Nutella and a lemon tart that was so good I'd honestly consider flying back just to have it again. It came with vodka sauce and I'm not a fan of that, so I opted for the side salad. Wish they'd allow you to sub the sauce. This beer-focused bar isn't the easiest to find because it's underground down a stairwell. Look for the signage close to the stairwell. Ambiance (3.5/5): We sat at a booth at the bar. It's one of the few seats that have back support (which is important to me due to my old man back). Outside of that, it's all barstool seating with no back support inside. Outside, they have a small patio with chairs. That would be another option for me when the weather cooperates. The decor inside is your typical beer bar decor. Laid back. Comfortable. There's a jukebox. A cool place to grab some brews. Service (3.5/5): Two bartenders were working that evening and they were pretty solid. I did have to grab their attention a few times but no biggie. The Whining Pig has daily specials including a beer and grilled cheese combo on Wednesdays. I was curious on the price. They didn't know nor did they find out. That was a miss. I'm a dan of grilled cheese so I'll definitely try one out at some point. They also have charcuterie boards. Drinks (4.5/5): Now for the good stuff! Unlike most beer spots, they also have wine and several cocktails. But when in Rome, so I went with a beer flight. You can choose five beers of your choosing from a list of 40 beers or so. While they don't brew their own beer, they have an interesting selection of local craft beers and European ones. The types of beers you're not going to find at your neighborhood bar, including saisons and sours. The flight is served in a pig shape holder which was pretty funny. Flights are always my go-to when they're offered as they allow you to try out a nice variety. Added bonus: Walk down the hallway past the bathrooms and you'll run into Pigtails---a speakeasy owned by the same folks. That way, you can get both your brews and elevated cocktails fix in the same night.

There was a live band playing early 2000s rock hits, which kept the energy up. Crowd was friendly overall, very much a neighborhood crowd. Overall This isn't a destination bar, but it's a really solid go-to if you live nearby. Think of it as an elevated dive/sports bar with a strong local following. Good drinks, good energy, and a place that does what it's supposed to do well.

Tryst Cafe was absolutely amazing! Chef Oscar -- the Carnitas tacos were to die for. So flavorful and perfectly cooked! Huge shoutout to our wonderful server Sasha for the Top Notch service, and to owner Lisa for creating such a fantastic spot. Can't wait to come back -- thank you for such a delicious experience! Thank you All for the fun experience. I was so hungry I forgot to take a picture. Cost was around sixteen bucks with a nice tip. Well worth the money, 3 nice size tacos, I was so full. No Desert this time. hahaha 5 STARS Kelly Levi
