I have hesitated to leave a review here because one thing I hate is when businesses respond to my reviews. I don't need your feedback... If I have an issue I need addressed, I'll come directly to you. I write reviews to amplify a business that's noteworthy or to try to add meaningful insight into what my experience was like at a restaurant if it's worth sharing. That said, I saw my picture from my meal here and remembered enjoying the meal enough to want to share that. I took the advice of many other reviews and got the mac and cheese burger thing, can't remember the name sorry. It came with tomato soup and fries? Or somehow that's what I ordered. Honestly I could do without the mac and cheese or would rather just have it on the side. It doesn't add to the burger at all, but wasn't bad by itself. The tomato soup was good and I liked having it as a dip for the sandwich. The fries were good and I would have liked a bit more of them, but I can't really complain as I was pretty satisfied in the end. The cashier seemed confused about something and I was confused by our interaction, but in the end I paid for and received food. The interior was not particularly welcoming and I waited longer for my food than I expected to given that I was the only person in there at the time. I'd order ahead next time for sure. It wasn't a bad experience. I think if things felt a little more organized I could give another star. Prices seem on the high end as well. read more

This will be a 2.5 star if it was based on the food alone. The cashier was kind. Helped us out with the menu - he was kind of jittery so that was interesting. A lot of options for food that's for sure! The restaurant was dirty. Floors weren't swept. The tables weren't clean. The beverage station needed some wiping down for sure. I ended up cutting myself on the table b/c it was so sharp. So watch out there. We got the pasta. I believe one was with Lobster and the other with "barbecue burnt end" .. and broccoli and cheese .. Sigh. More like stir fried pork pieces thrown in barbecue sauce ... and I was searching for the lobster and .. well it should be called Cheese with pieces of broccoli and the cheese was .. well watery.. like canned cheese. Nice location. Kind and patient staff. Food that I experienced. A strong No. Lacked flavor. But.. but.. the presentation was nice. I wouldn't go back for pasta .. I would possibly try something else. The restaurant was clean, cute and organized. The staff was amazing and nice! Service was very quick. We went in to redeem our free food item vouchers. We ordered sweet potato fries and a loaded baked potato. We were stoked to get these items. It happened to be a let down which is a shame since they just opened and we were looking forward to going back since its so close to home. The potato looked amazing but was hard and seemed old. The container to the potato also had a hole in the bottom which caused it to leak all over. The sweet potato fries were burnt. Its a toss up if we will be back. read more

First off WOW!! So bomb!!! Seriously so many options!! I had the Alfredo baked potato and my husband had a Philly cheesesteak baked potato and both were delicious!! The owner also gave us a little taster off the secret menu! It was these strawberry cream cheese empanada things lol I forgot what he named them but they were fire!! We had seen this restaurant a couple times when dining downtown. My family loves melty melty cheesy stuff, so we were excited when we finally got to check it out. I'll start off by saying our food was delicious. Very very good. The shop was pretty basic with the decor and the tables, not a whole lot of decoration. Not that I particularly care about that sort of thing, Just making notes. Now, unfortunately, on the day we went, there appeared to be some scheduling issue. So there was only one person working. ONE. Handling the front with the cash register, and taking orders, AND she was also the only one there to go in the back and make the food. So that was problematic. I'm not sure how long the shop was open before we got there, but there were already customers at tables eating their food. And while we were looking over the menu and placing our order, she was literally texting and calling another employee to get them to come in early so that she would have someone else to help her. So obviously that was not great. But she was super friendly and nice, and apologetic about the delay. Honestly, even though the other employee didn't show up until after we got our food, it did not take very long for our food to come out. It was pretty quick. And again, the food was delicious. One other issue on the day we went in, was that it was very smoky in the shop. The sole employee had mentioned something about cleaning the grills in the back, maybe that was it. But it was pretty smoky in there. Not enough to make it unpleasant, but it was definitely noticeable. I think the scheduling issue was a fluke thing, so I would definitely go back and try them again. Also, the prices were pretty good for what we got. We ordered a couple of sammiches, my two sons got sammiches with Maca maca cheese inside, and a friend that came with us got some Alfredo pasta. Everybody really enjoyed their food. Also, my wife got some kind of cookie/brownie dessert thing, and that was absolutely excellent. One of the best prepackaged desserts I've had in a very long time. If u like melty cheesy food, you should definitely give The Melting Station a try. read more

I came here wanting to experience Mac and cheese and yes sir I did. Cheese on everything is just fabulous. The loaded potato was amazing. They just opened so have some kinks to work out but it was a good experience. The service was polite. The restaurant was clean and the atmosphere was chill. I love the location and I'll probably see about ordering online as they have that option. I saw the owner is a 49ers fan so I'll just be nice and not deduct a star :) read more

The pictures of the food looked incredible, and I was genuinely excited to try what seemed like some amazing comfort food. Unfortunately, the taste didn't live up to the presentation. I've made better--and higher quality--grilled cheese sandwiches at home. The service left a lot to be desired. My friend didn't even receive the correct order, though he didn't make a fuss since our company was footing the bill. Overall, the experience was underwhelming. Went in with my husband Sunday March 2, 2025 at about noon. Walked in and saw there were about 5-6 other tables with people. They had just opened the week before I believe. The super nice young lady at the register said they had just had the "grand opening" the previous day. After explaining how it worked, we placed our order. My husband ordered Chicken parm pasta $12.50 and a fountain drink $3.00, and I had ordered the danenberger $14.50 and made it a meal (fries and a fountain drink) for another $4.50. My husband also asked for an order of mozzarella sticks but said she was pretty sure they were out without double checking. He decided he did not want anything else, so we paid and took our cups to the fountain area to get our drinks. There was no iced tea, (my drink of choice) and two or three of the fountain drinks had out of order tabs on them. I opted for Starry and my husband got a cola. We found a table, I took a drink of my starry and it was just carbonated water. I heard one of the owners say they were out of starry now too, in passing. About 15 minutes later, a young woman came out of the kitchen with our order on a tray. And pleasantly to my surprise there was a cup of ranch with my fries! My husband, a ketchup guy, asked for ketchup and she walked away, grabbed a handful of ketchup packets and then brought them back to the table and put them on top of my fries. Not on the table, not on the tray, but directly on top of the fries. I stopped eating the fries after that. My husband was starving and he dove right in. He said his chicken parm pasta was good, but the chicken was very overcooked. My sandwich/melt was good. But I feel like it's not worth $14.50 by itself. There was the smallest thinnest beef patty on it. My husband agreed it needed two. But we did hear them say they were now out of the burger patty's. The fries, while crispy, were not very good. They looked seasoned, but did not taste seasoned. The ranch was super runny. About 3 bites into my food, the young lady from the kitchen came out and asked for the tray back. We had to take all our food off of it and give it back to her. My husband said there was four trays on the stand behind me. ‍ the place looked nice and clean and had great lighting. I did not get a chance to use the restroom. One thing I did notice was they all had gloves on, but were touching everything with gloves. Touching food, touching doors, faces, papers, tables, chairs. I think we will be back, and hopefully all the kinks will be worked out. read more

Got recommended by a friend to give this place a shot figured might as well while we were out and wasn't disappointed the street corn that came with the meal I had was insanely good (didn't get a chance for the pic I wrecked that lol) the price wasn't bad at all for the amount of food you get the young lady that helped us was super nice! I'm guessing maybe next time I go I'll do something besides tots maybe the Mac and cheese as my base and go from there maybe Philly cheese?? So many options you pick your base then protein, veggies, toppers, then last but not least drizzles to finish off the plate that's just the build your own plate or you can go with redesigned plates and add to them they even have a lobster plate it's about 10 bucks more (not a fan of lobster so luckily I'll save that money lol) but if you just wondering downtown or thinking ya wanna try something new give this places a shot!! read more

I hate to do this. The restaurant was dirty for just opened up, it's like it wasn't cleaned from the day before. There was a gentleman just sitting at a table on the phone and not sure if he was an employee and the chef which was also the manager and owner I assumed was nice but didn't seen to care about his own place. There was no utensils or napkins prepared. The food does have potential but too much on the menu. I had the lobster and tri tip pasta which actually was good. My wife had the Philly cheese steak which didnt seem close to what it was meant to be. We seen people come in to look at the menu and just left. I'm sure the potatoes are good but focus on that and cheese dishes. I hope it does well for it's future. read more

The food is GREAT! It was our first time there. They were a bit busy. But, they worked hard and got us our food in a timely manner. The food was not good. My family tried a BYO pasta, meat ball pasta and a mac n cheese melt. The BYO pasta was served cold with cold chopped up chicken nuggets. The meat balls on the pasta were room temp and did not taste good. The Mac n cheese melt sandwich was watery. The customer service was not great. The lady at the counter told my husband the melt usually comes with a sauce but they're out "so" . Over all not a great experience and not good food. Disappointed. read more

This place was such a disappointment. We went here while on vacation and the food was so bland that I left thinking that my tastebuds had gone home without me. I was so excited about this place after seeing all of the positive reviews. I ordered the "Make Your Own" with cheddar cheese mac, tri-tip, mushrooms, and green onions. It was supposed to be drizzled with gruyere, but it arrived without the drizzle. No big deal, but what really got to me was the fact that the tri-tip was unseasoned, the mushrooms were RAW (I thought they'd be cooked or sautéed or something), and the food was barely warm. The entire dish made the mediocre meals I've had in the past seem amazing. The only thing this place inspires is poetry: Bland noodles await, Season's song in silent hush-- Mac mourns for flavor. The food was mediocre. Very blah. Seemed overpriced for what it was. The service was ok, you order at the counter and it's delivered to your table. I prefer to have a full service server that comes to your table to take the order. I don't feel a 20% tip is warranted for counter service. The ambience is lackluster. Waited a while, which we don't mind if the food was good. The cashier was friendly but she asked if we wanted our receipt. To save paper we said no. Had no idea that we would need to know our order number to figure out which one was our number because she forgot who was who.. the people after us didn't get a receipt either. She didn't tell anyone their number so she didn't know whose order it was and was going back and forth asking empty tables if it was theirs. Tried the Mac and cheese bites, it was still cold in the middle. Fries tasted old and cold as well. The door was open to the employee area and I happen to see the server reach in the trash can with gloved hands because an order receipt fell in it and didn't change her gloves. I see someone else was also complaining of mishandling gloves when they first opened. I ordered the pride of Philly and added mushrooms, they forgot the mushrooms. My husband ordered the danenberger but we think got the mac and cheese melt or a custom order, but wasn't what he ordered. It's to bad, I had hopes for a new place in visalia. Hopefully they work the kinks out but we won't be going back. read more
