Had such a great experience here and cannot wait to go back! Has small 20 minute wait and there was not room so waited outside and someone came and put on the heaters which was very nice. The wine selection was really nice also and the price for a bottle is the same as 3 glasses so it is more practical to buy a bottle. Ordered the artichoke dip to stay and it's absolutely fantastic! Warm cheese and garlic bread to dip into it! I ordered the strings trio and it was definitely a large portion but it was worth the price because it's basically 2 meals! The Alfredo sauce was so creamy and the stuffed shells were delicious. The chicken Parmesan was seasoned perfectly and crispy! Great service, though I cannot remember the waitress name. the pasta here is good! i really like their Alfredo sauce. unfortunately the service really leave something to be desired. our food was slow to come out (which is fine) but in that time, our waitress didn't come to check on us at all or refill drinks. even after the food was brought to the table, we still didn't get any refills and i had to ask a different employee walking by because our waitress was no where to be found. (the restaurant was not busy at the time, so I'm not sure where she was?) i also noticed on the menu there's a "share fee" which i find a bit odd, why would there be an additional charge if you choose to share your food with someone at your table? if we're comparing local Italian places in the city, i think Rosa's is definitely a more enjoyable choice overall. read more

Big fan of this place on a first visit. They had "God bless" written on the sign out front, which was a lovely welcome. The Italian atmosphere was present here in a casual, comfortable format. Accent in tone in the environment was not too bright, but still felt lively without being in-your-face. My partner loved her lasagna, and rated it a 10/10. I also thought my chicken artichoke ravioli was quite delicious and worthy of remark. The mushrooms and chicken-Marsala-esque sauce really enriched the dish and made it warm and homely, again without being overly intimate and in-your-face with flavor. I was confused at the 3.5 star rating of this place. I think this place deserves at least 4 stars; from what I can tell on a sole visit, it is solid all around. If anything, as I told my partner, my expectations were probably lower than they would have been otherwise, which may have raised the quality of my experience all the more. Cheers. read more

Tonight my party & I wanted a different table and the young blonde male server with shorts & very dirty apron was very rude. Didn't let us move & when asked questions he gave us rude responses. I had issues with another catering company and I reached to them to see if they could help with 3 day notice for a family funeral. They were responsive, caring, and worked with my budget. So this is the first time ever leaving a review on an establishment but I think the first impression I got of this place needs to be shared. I wouldn't even give it one star. The first time in the establishment my daughter praised, was a horrible experience. Ordered to go, smelled something off when placed the food in the car.. got home with the food opened the container and it was a horrible smell. Called requested my money back they refused. Stated they could remake it for me. I told the manager I would come down there and she could smell the food after telling me I was the only one who complained about it all day then she hung up on me. Got down there asked the manager to write down her bosses name she said I'm not doing that. Then finally she said do want to talk to him? Here comes the owner.. he was even more rude than his manager , they do not believe the customer is always right. The owner said I was the one being rude and got pretty defensive when I mentioned that his manager was.. After he argued that I was the one was rude and not his manager he stated I was on speaker phone while having a conversation with his manager about the bad food served. Then stated I needed to leave his establishment, I said well give me my money back when he refused I said then remake my daughters pasta and he refused. So $30 was spent and he told me to leave and he has a right to refuse the service in his establishment (that I paid for) He stated he doesn't care who I think I am, I can yelp, tell all my little friends it didn't make a difference to him. Pretty BAD experience. Paid for bad food walked out with nothing. I feel like we were insulted trying to save the grace of a table that was near the door where we were standing to wait we were asked to move like we weren't quite as good. We were insulted in the way that it happened. They don't have a waiting area for those. Waiting to be seated it's a very small place and there's not much room for anything, though there was a large table with a large row of two chairs on either side that could have been used. Had dinner here and had a wonderful time! We were greeted right away even on a busy Saturday night. Just a few minutes had a table. Great setting very quaint, Service was great and very friendly, took their time going over the menu. It seems like a lot of people are just venting about their poor customer experiences. I actually had a really good experience for lunch here. I'm staying at Hanford and drove 30 minutes to come try the food even with the uneven reviews. I ordered the frutta del Mare pasta for lunch and for $0.99 added an unlimited amount of salad. They only have creamy Italian and ranches options so I asked for olive oil and vinegar and made my own dressing. It was a pretty amazing salad for $0.99! The amount of food was fairly incredible for the price point. The other unnamed Italian establishment was charging $33 for the same dish. At strings it was $20. I couldn't finish it and I eat a lot. That might have been due to the fact that I ate the whole huge family bowl of salad first Taste wise it was good not great but exactly what I was looking for for lunch. Any case, the only negative I saw was that they only had one waitress for 12 tables. The food was tasty and they were able to tailor my meal so that I could choose what I wanted without a couple of the things I can't have. They give very nice portions and a great variety of options. Strings is one of my favorite restaurants in Visalia. Pre-COVID we always had a wonderful dine in experience. The staff and servers are always friendly and courteous. Our food has always been made promptly and always tastes fresh and delicious. I love their takeout service as well. In addition to giving you an estimated wait time, they also call you so that you'll know when your food is ready. That's really helpful and going the extra mile for their customers. Getting your food is quick and easy at the window too. Their selection of entrees are incredible too. The Award Winning Combo is one of our favorites. The lasagna pastry is the star of the combo in my opinion. It has a golden, flakey crust with perfectly cooked pasta and meat sauce inside. The stuffed mushrooms and ravioli it comes with are the perfect accompaniment. The calzones are another favorite too. The crust is delicious and they are loaded with your choice of filling. A few others that I have tried and really enjoyed are the chicken parm, which comes with an entire breaded and sauces chicken breast. The pan fried raviolis are excellent as well.
