We stopped by The Melting Pot for dessert and had a great experience. The restaurant was quiet and not yet crowded, which made for a relaxing visit. Even without a reservation, we were seated quickly in the bar area--and I was pleasantly surprised to see burners built right into the bar top. Very cool touch! The place was clean, the staff was friendly and attentive, and everything felt well taken care of--including the restrooms, which were fully stocked and spotless. We came specifically for dessert and it did not disappoint. We chose the milk chocolate fondue, which came with a generous assortment of treats like pound cake, Rice Krispie bites, fruits, and marshmallows. Everything was delicious! The Melting Pot continues to be one of my favorite spots for a sweet treat and a cozy, unique experience. Highly recommend for a fun dessert outing!

I got my husband a gift card for Christmas so we decided to use it tonight on New Year's Eve. The restaurant is located on Gate Parkway so getting in and out is very convenient. They had a special menu tonight that included a champagne toast. It also included the choice of cheddar or Swiss cheese dip, a Ceasar or wedge salad, an entree course with steak, chicken, shrimp, broccoli, mushrooms, and potatoes, and then a dessert course. Everything tasted great and there was a lot of food. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was the seating we had. It was a tiny booth with only two sides against a wall. It was very tiny and felt a little claustrophobic.

Easy parking Reservations are recommended. We had to wait 15 minutes past our reservation time to be seated. The ambience was quiet and private in our booth. Ordering was simple with the dinner set menus. We ordered a "create your own " with salad, alone cheese fondue starter, house salad (with excellent dressing then the main fondue course. Dessert was the right size with the "yin and yang " chocolate fondue (with white and dark chocolate. The dessert fondue was accompanied by strawberries, chocolate brownie, sponge cake, Rice Krispie treats and bananas. Our server, Grayson, was informative and engaging.

The food was everything we remembered from 3 years ago (birthday event). No complaints on that front. The atmosphere was the same - totally fine and no complaints. Unfortunately, our server rushed us, repeatedly, through the meal. 4 people to celebrate a birthday. $300 check for 4 people. We asked for more of the veggies and he seemed put-off. He even continued to take plates away after we expressed that we were still eating. When dessert time came, the check quickly followed and he dropped and ran giving us no time to ask for additional dippers to consume the chocolate we still had in both pots. The busboy came asking to collect our plates and instead we asked for more dippers (we had 1/2 the chocolate in each pot left!). They brought back a tiny plate and portion of additional dippers. The waiter came back for the check and again, grabbed and ran leaving no time to speak. When he came back, he could observe that we still had 1/4 pot of each (2 pots total) and simply wished us a quick goodnight and happy birthday to our party member. Every interaction with our waiter from the main course through dessert, we felt rushed (the beginning of the meal did not start that way). This was a birthday that was planned and looked forward to for some time now. We could have gone to many other restaurants ~ We drove an hour to get here. Our daughter picked this experience for her 15th birthday and to be made to feel like a bother and rushed was beyond frustrating.

I decided to go to the melting pot to celebrate my college graduation this weekend. I am a vegan so I have dietary restrictions but from their website it seemed they had a few vegan options, so I decided to try it out. I got the vegan cheese fondue to start, the garden pot as my meal, and the vegan chocolate fondue. The vegan cheese was possibly the best vegan cheese I have ever had in my 5 years of veganism. It came with bread, broccoli, and celery to dip. The garden pot was a little disappointing. It did not come with artichoke hearts or onions like it listed on the menu. My fondue option was a seasoned vegetable broth which made my veggies mushy. The server also mentioned that my polpettes were from a frozen package, and they looked unappetizing, so I didn't eat those. The vegan chocolate fondue was just dark chocolate. It did not come with pineapples, blueberries, or raspberries like it said on the menu. So, my only options were strawberries and bananas. The ambiance was nice, it was a dark restaurant and there were some private corner tables I saw which I'm sure you could ask for. Our server was nice, but didn't seem very knowledgeable about ingredients or dietary restrictions. Overall, I would go again, but I would only go for the cheese fondue and chocolate fondue and skip the entree!

Happy hour at the bar for the win! 1/2 off cheese and chocolate fondues + husband enjoyed some specials on cocktails. Juan, the bartender took good care of us. Enjoyed seeing their pretty Christmas decor.

Magical evening at the melting pot! Our server Grayson was the absolute best! Super informative, helpful, and kind. We went all in on dinner, and it was well worth it. We added the dippers, the premium steak, and of course the bundt cake with a sparkler! We were tucked away in a private booth for the most romantic meal. The ambiance was just right for a Friday night date with your loved one.

Although a little pricey for what you get, the limited time all you can eat menus can make for a good dinner.

Started, as all the diners here, with rolls and three flavored salts. The cheese rolls were the clear winner, and the siracha salt won me over on a little butter at first bite. Enjoyed an appetizer of tuna served 2 ways - seared and minced. Note the plates here are not sized for sharing, they're perfectly composed single dishes. The steak was the best plate I had throughout our stay at the Ritz. A tender filet, perfectly cooked, sitting on a little mash tater island with a few asparagus, covered with a pleasant sauce. Some nice high end cocktail choices. Extensive list of pretty badly overpriced wines, though we did enjoy our $120 bottle of $30 wine.

Some restaurants surprise you with one great dish. Others deliver a memorable experience from start…read moreto finish. Our visit to Biscottis in Jacksonville's Avondale neighborhood managed to do both. We were greeted warmly when we arrived and seated immediately, and the atmosphere had a welcoming energy that made the restaurant feel like a true neighborhood gathering place. Susan ordered the Quiche Lorraine, and after the first bite we both knew it was something special. The crust was delicate and buttery while the filling was rich and perfectly balanced. It was so impressive that we awarded it our Culinary Duo Best of the Best dish recognition, which is something we reserve for truly standout dishes. Peter went in a different direction and ordered the Sweet Potato Pancakes with house made white cheddar hash browns. The pancakes were flavorful and comforting, and the hash browns were crispy with bold cheddar flavor that made them impossible to stop eating. Another thing we appreciated was learning that Biscottis carries the Slow Food First Coast Snail of Approval, recognizing restaurants that support sustainable agriculture and local food traditions. The service throughout the visit was cheerful and attentive, and the staff seemed genuinely happy to be there. If you enjoy restaurants that combine great brunch dishes, incredible desserts, and a lively neighborhood atmosphere, Biscottis is definitely worth visiting.

The burger is greasy/wet, it is drenched in a bland cheese sauce, the meat is underseasoned, and the patty has no sear. Definitely not worth anything near the $21 cost. The salmon BLT is served on bread that is cut so thick you're mostly just eating old/stale bread, and the sandwich is also greasy. Their french fries come drenched in a disgusting garlic oil and cheap grated parmesan. It's bad cooking dressed up to look fancy without any understanding of the basics. The restaurant fits as well. Its ugly artwork is accompanied by furniture that looks like it was ripped out of a Le Pain Quotidien. The cakes look amazing, and the bar is nicely designed and well stocked, but neither saves the drab surrealist-cafeteria vibe of this pretentious establishment.
