    Steak frites

Food and service was a 5 star. We ate here for supper and a breakfast. The Sea-bass was phenomenal. It was fresh and perfectly flaky. The pairing with mashed potatoes and topping was unique but was an explosion of flavors in your mouth that paired perfectly together. My daughter had the steak Fritos without the sauce and it was delicious! Perfectly cooked medium. They had great wine and drink options. The dessert was also delicious! I had the crème brûlée with fresh fruit and the chocolate torte. We didn't leave a crumb behind. The breakfast consisted of pancakes and omelet. The omelet came with yummy seasoned potatoes. Coffee was unlimited and delicious! The service was amazing. Everyone was very friendly and attentive. Upscale dining experience. I was surprised to find this restaurant not just considering the dining experience, food and ambiance all perfect!

Stopped by Azurea for dessert - espresso martinis and crème brûlée, and it was the perfect treat! Hands down the best espresso martini at the beaches and the crème brûlée perfect for sharing

Azurea was a bit underwhelming and didn't live up to the expectations I had for a restaurant inside a hotel as nice as One Ocean. The service wasn't bad, but it wasn't incredibly busy and I found myself waiting for a while to ask for a drink after ordering our entrees. I had the steak and eggs. The steak was tender, but didn't have a whole lot of flavor and the eggs stuck together (and might have been from a mix but I don't know for sure). My husband had the chicken and waffles and was not very impressed by them. Overall, I don't mind that we went but I wouldn't return unless we were staying at the hotel again. Though honestly, even then, I'd probably rather check out one of the other restaurants in the area.

We love this restaurant and have been coming for years. We have had breakfast, lumch and dinners here while we stay at the hotel it is located in, One Ocean. Everything we have gotten has been great and recommend it all!

Came here for the location + look of the restaurant on my anniversary. It was relatively empty, so we expected a smooth dinner service. Our waitress was kind, but we had long wait times, which was confusing cause the place was nearly empty. We were excited to have an intimate, romantic dinner and had let the staff know it was our anniversary, but a family of 4 were seated next to us with screaming children who ended up being so loud, that it ruined the experience for us. We got the sea bass and grouper specials, and both were accompanied with underwhelming sides, such as the Yukon gold mousse that gave kind of a weird texture with the sea bass. We've toured most all of Jacksonville's fine dining experiences and as close as this is to the beach, we weren't impressed and probably will not be returning. Also we had two tequila shots (Casamigos Reposado), which came out to $50. I didn't pay that much for the same shots in NYC, so I was surprised it cost so much here, where the service definitely left us wanting.

Very pricey is all I can say. The Waiter-he was pretty good. The food:fish was cooked three ways and delicious. Atmosphere:wonderful. Prices:$$$ Tammy and I did enjoy ourselves, our meal, wine, salad, and crème brûlée dessert was good. Pros:the hotel gave a us a $10.00 off our meal coupon. Cons: price Recommend:yes, for special occasions.

Beautiful ocean bar and restaurant located in the one ocean hotel off Atlantic beach. When you walk in with its beach sea themed Decor you will be charmed. Went here for dessert and drinks after a fun day at the beach. When you walk in there is a rock formation decor with a modern twist. Vibe- relax and chill the modern decor and beach them was relaxing with cool lounge music. Even though it was busy it wasn't too loud. They even have outdoor seating with fireplace pits. And a boardwalk that leads out to the beach. We got the dragon berry mojito and the crème brûlée dessert. It was definitely perfection crème brûlée crisp on the outside and creamy inside. Also the dragon berry mojito was a tropical mix with just the right kick. Very refreshing. Service was attentive. We will definitely go back!

My sisters and cousins wanted to do a girls day out and decided to try Azurea's seasonal afternoon tea. The afternoon tea was priced $40 per person. Let me start off with place. The room was well decorated and have big windows that brings in the natural lighting. The ambiance is excellent that we were able to get a lot of conversation going since the atmosphere is not loud. The table setting was also pretty. As for the afternoon tea experience, we have a choice of glass of Prosecco or Champagne to start with. Then each of us got a choice of tea. We all had our own teapot which was so nice. The sandwiches came next. To end our afternoon tea, the server can out with our desserts. I would say the cookies were excellent. We had a great time and enjoyed the delicious afternoon snacks and drinks.

Floor layout, there were more to the left and right. Good spacing so you're not too close to the next party.

Wanted to try a new place to brunch, but also close by, because I had to go to work. Never think to go here, but it's sooooo good. Appetizer and a meal each, yes please! I appreciate how Jay was very helpful in suggestions, when I couldn't choose between which Flatbreads to pick or which Entrees to choose. His recommendations were perfect. Thank you! Pear & Prosciutto Flatbread, so yum! Love the different flavors of cheesy, salty and a hint of sweet, not too much, just enough so you don't confuse it as a dessert. I debated between the shrimp po boy and the steak frites. I know, two very different proteins. Haha but, both my faves. He sold me with the glaze sauce. Hahaha sounded delicious and he was right! So, I got the steak frites, cooked medium. Because I don't like it dry and I don't like it still mooing. It was perfect! Hats off to the chef! I could do the fries a little crispier (is that a word?), but that's just preference. All-in-all, a great meal. Will definitely be back to try some other dishes. I've only been for drinks here ... and the bar was not open yet. Haha so, will definitely be back for the espresso-tini! Happy eating, y'all!

We made reservations here for our anniversary. We sat outside to enjoy live music. Someone sat down at the table next to us, put their phone on speaker phone, and had a loud conversation through almost our entire meal. We weren't able to enjoy the live music and could hardly hear each other at some points because of her conversation. Staff continued to walk by and ignore this behavior. All in all, our meals were fine but I don't think I would return. Note also, bring a jacket because this restaurant is COLD!

Wanted to celebrate our last hoorah as I'm reaching the end of my pregnancy. The staff and environment truly made the night special. Our server was very attentive and made sure that we were comfortable and enjoyed our food. Everything came out beautifully. The rack of lamb was juicy and deliciously tender. We also had the pork belly which made me dance in my seat. This place is definitely a treat for a fancy night out.

This place is really good and glad I dressed up. I got steak frites, medium rare but they made it on a rare side more than medium rare. Especially in the middle pieces of the steak. I was barely able to chew it. When I asked to cook a bit more and the server gave me a look and felt like he judged me. But after cooked more and he medium, it did taste better and easier for me to chew. I did not expect crème brûlée is cold. Tasted very good but still didn't expect it's cold.

    Happy Anniversary to us

Quay was our personal server and I think he was our bartender too- although there was another person back and forth behind the bar. We added a little chaos to the mix with a handful of family who showed without rsvp-ing. Add in toddlers plus easily 15 people.... Yeah- mad respect for Quay!!! I admit to being sad that I couldn't get my broiled platter- that is my favorite Fish Camp dish, and apparently not available for lunch. I pivoted and got the steam pot for 2. For myself. And guess what- I ate all the crab, hmmm so happy! Laugh- it was hilarious, I was still cracking crab while everyone sung happy birthday! I was thrilled. I brought home most of the potatoes, corn and such- it even had mushrooms and broccoli! YUM! My old fashioned was also perfection in a glass. John had the shrimp and fish basket and loved every bite. Several raved about the shrimp and grits. Caron loved her mahi mahi. Connor got the Spicy Wild Caught Shrimp Linguine with White Wine, Garlic, Tomato, Pecorino and inhaled it! Even the kiddos were super happy with the kids chicken strips, although the kitchen delivered the first plate to the wrong toddler and the lovely parents didn't question how they got food without ordering and that little girl dug right in. Opposite end of the table- this grandma spoke up and we split the food so all the littles were fed. Considering our chaotic group, it went very well. I didn't hear a single complaint from our party. Hopefully we didn't drive the staff too crazy!

I used to absolutely love this place. It was our go-to for seafood, celebrations, family dinners,…read moreand special occasions for years. We recommended it constantly and genuinely enjoyed supporting them. Unfortunately, after our last few experiences, that loyalty is completely gone. The problems really started during a dinner visit with my spouse. We had a reservation for two and specifically requested a booth because my spouse has herniated discs and booths are much easier on her back. The hostess with glasses told us there were "no booths available for parties of two," so we were seated at a tiny two-top directly in front of an empty booth. Minutes later, another couple - who apparently didn't even have the correct downstairs reservation because Wheel House was closed for a private event - was seated in that exact booth instead. When I politely questioned it, I was told they were "accommodating them." Interesting, because apparently accommodating a medical issue for customers with a reservation didn't matter. Still, we decided to give the restaurant another chance for Mother's Day. To their credit, we were seated at a booth this time after I both noted it in the reservation and called ahead to confirm it. Our waiter was someone we immediately recognized from a previous visit, and my parents mentioned he had waited on us before at that same table. Somehow, from that comment alone, he became convinced we were related to Chef Tim Tillus. From there, things got bizarre. He kept talking about "Timmy," mentioning reunions and saying he used to live with him. The restaurant was extremely loud, and my father had forgotten his hearing aids that day, so honestly we could barely understand what he was talking about. We just smiled politely and focused on asking about the menu because we truly had no clue where the conversation was going. Eventually, he came back and realized we were NOT Chef Tim Tillus' family. He then explained that the kitchen staff had apparently been laughing because the chef saw us and said, "That's not my family." So somehow this became a whole ordeal in the kitchen over a completely innocent misunderstanding. We laughed awkwardly because what else do you do at that point? But honestly, the whole interaction felt strange and unprofessional. Unfortunately, the food was even worse than the awkward service. My spouse ordered the all-day seafood soup, and somehow there was basically ZERO seafood in it. That alone was shocking because their soups used to be incredible. My father ordered the broiled platter, and the portion size was honestly embarrassing for a $29 dish. His parsley potatoes consisted of literally five tiny cubes - my mother counted them because we were in disbelief. We have eaten here for years and NEVER saw portions this small. I ordered the fish special, and it was nothing like described. It was supposed to have pecans and blackening seasoning. There were no pecans, no blackening seasoning, and the fish itself was dry, bland, overcooked, and flavorless. For $32, I was served what looked like a tiny sad pile of fish in the middle of a giant empty plate. The pork chop looked beautiful but tasted absolutely awful. At this point I honestly don't know if the kitchen quality has completely collapsed or if nobody is checking food before it leaves the line anymore. Either way, it was terrible. My mother ordered scallops on the half shell as her meal - something she has enjoyed there many times before. This time, the scallops were tiny and somehow greasy. It was shocking these dishes were even leaving the kitchen. What makes this so disappointing is that we truly loved this restaurant. We weren't casual customers. We supported this place for years because we believed the food and experience were worth it. This wasn't just a mediocre meal or an "off night." This was a genuinely terrible dining experience from start to finish, made worse by the fact that it happened on Mother's Day. The service felt awkward and disorganized, the portions were insulting, the food quality was awful, and there seemed to be zero quality control happening anywhere. At this point, our money will be supporting other establishments instead. It's honestly sad because this place USED to be special. I sincerely hope management fixes the kitchen, consistency, and overall professionalism before even more longtime customers walk away.
