The service was immaculate! Our server was super nice, professional, and made the whole experience even better. I got the country-fried steak for the first time, and it was amazing. I definitely wasn't expecting it to be as huge as it was, but I'm not complaining! We also got the mozzarella sticks, which were pretty good, and my girlfriend had the Chicken Critter Salad and enjoyed it as well. The drinks were strong too, which was a nice bonus. First time in to this location, in on an early Thursday afternoon. Lots of parking, good location in town center area. Gets crowded, but we were able to get seated for party of 5. Quick greeting and drink order taken. Wonderful! As she also brought us some hot fresh bread. Yummy. Tables were clean and inside area no issues. Relaxing not to loud atmosphere. Hot rolls! They brought out baskets of hot rolls as soon as we sat down, and the service stayed top-notch through our whole lunch. The food was fresh and served perfectly. My last experience lived up to the Texas Roadhouse hype. I opted for the smothered chicken - gravy, not cheese, and it was excellent. I rarely order chicken when dining out unless it's wings or fingers. To be honest I rarely order steak either as I find myself usually disappointed unless it's some higher end steak place. This visit was spot on - busy as usual - even for a Monday night. Service was fast and friendly, rolls were fresh and plentiful, and my entree was great. I would not hesitate to order that chicken again. I will add that my son's 12 oz. ribeye appeared to be overdone. He didn't mention it but ended up with some leftovers for the dogs. We're just not keen on sending back food to the kitchen based on the horror stories we've heard in general but in this case, it would've been justified based on what I saw. The wait time was not too bad we got there early enough however the line was quite long when we left. The hostess and I wished I got her name was outstanding! Very pleasant young lady who was communicative and friendly Our server, though I did not get his name was nice enough. Not as communicative but polite. My friend had the fillet which he very much enjoyed. He asked for it on the medium well side, but it came out a little too pink. If you ask me, however it was the one eating it. It did look very juicy. I had the chicken which I have to say very sadly was extremely extremely and worth a third repeat extremely salty. Salty enough that I knew I could not eat it. The waiter was very kind asked me if I wanted something else and I said no the vegetables were sufficient. The manager visited our table when we first got there, and then when she learned of the chicken and like the waiter, she too, offered the opportunity for something else. Texas Roadhouse is one of my family's favorite places to frequent. The food is ALWAYS delicious and the service is beyond expectation when seated at the bar! This visit was just that! I wish I could remember our bartender's name but it is only listed as PM BAR. I always like to recognize the most memorable servers if I can! This time, I'll just give the entire bar staff all the props! I can honestly say that I've never received my meal with any part of it incorrectly made when being seated at the bar! I don't know if it's that fact that patrons are in a closer proximity to the bartender when the order is being taken (they can hear the order more clearly) or if they are just more attentive in general. This location seems to be the cleanest location in Jacksonville, as well. I never have to brush food from the seats in the booth or re-clean the table top/bar top before touching it. That's a BIG thing for my family with all the children we have joining us. Outback used to be my favorite steakhouse.... That would've NEVER happened had Texas Roadhouse been around 20-30 years ago! Ordered the filet with a baked potato and salad and the steak was cooked to perfection and the baked potato was piping hot and fresh, the salad with homemade dressing was also very good. Service was super fast and friendly and the food came out super fast and every order was delivered correctly. Rolls were delivered hot and fresh with their delicious butter. Can't beat the consistency and the value for a family meal. Food: So for starters the food took forever to come out and had ordered a medium rare and came out well done and when we tried to get it made again it took longer for it to come out than it did when we first got our food. Service: Service was below par our server jacob was fine but everything took forever to come out and we even had to ask another person that wasn't our waiter for refills. Always a great meal and fast, friendly service here. The rolls were hot and fresh as ever, the rattle snake bites (fried jack cheese with diced jalepenos) were tasty and enjoyable with the right amount of heat, the side salad was just right (no egg), the 8oz sirloin with onions and mushrooms was perfect and the loaded baked potato was perfect as well. This was way too much food to eat in one sitting so I enjoyed the potato and some rolls as leftovers the next day. The half and half sweet/unsweet tea went perfectly with my meal and they weren't too crowded around 3:30 on a weekday. We were excited to dine at this Texas Roadhouse Town Center location. I told the young man that there would be 4 of us instead of two so he picked up more rolls with his hands to put in the basket. I don't know how clean his hands were but it made me wonder. And once he sat us, he waited on us. The issue the 4 of us had wasn't him and I'd gladly sit with him again but we were very disappointed how dirty our silverware was. We even took them from other tables and all were dirty. So whomever rolled them knew they weren't clean. They were very spotty and nasty looking. I couldn't believe we were experiencing this in a Texas Roadhouse restaurant. We'd always had great svc at Texas Roadhouse but when we mentioned this to the lady mgr, she said I'm sorry but that didn't fix anything. We ended up going outside to our car and got some stand-by to go plastic ware. Our waiter was very apologetic and tried to fix it by bringing us more silverware from the back but by then, we instead had chosen to make do with our plastic ware the best we could instead. One friend said her fries were cold and her steak was undercooked. I could be off but I think our waiter's name was Eric. He was a tall young man with dark hair. And if so, kudos to him. As well the food but idk yesterday experience for me was whoa due to the fact that the server put the food under the wrong table which when the other server who was bringing the food out was confuse and walked away with it. We had not been to a Texas Roadhouse for several years. We decided to give it another try and boy were we glad we did. We got there early so there was no wait. Our waiter Tristan was excellent! He was very attentive & gave great information. We all had the prime rib and it was excellent. Cooked just as ordered & so tender. The salads were fresh & the dressings tasty. Also of course the dinner rolls were hot from the oven with the cinnamon butter. Yummy. The restaurant filled up pretty fast and there was a line when we left. Family dinner on a Saturday night. We put our names on the wait list and this helped make the wait a little easier, although it was still over an hour! When we arrived, people were spilling out of the restaurant but they seemed to be having a good time. Once we checked in, it wasn't too long before we were seated. Tiffany was our server and she did a good job. We ordered some Fried Pickles and Loaded Cheese Fries with the Chili on the side. For our main course, I had the Ft. Worth Ribeye (my DD also had this) with a Baked Potato and Green Beans for my sides. DH ordered the Grilled BBQ Chicken & 6oz Sirloin as his man with a Side Salad and Loaded Baked Potato. To call the food served at the Jacksonville Texas Roadhouse GARBAGE would be an insult to the word GARBAGE...it was worse than that....I've seen fresher salads at McDonalds....was the decision made "Should we throw this horrific lettuce out --or-- NO WAY....let's serve this unappetizing display of greens to the next customer....in fairness the staff was great, particularly Julia (and she deserves to work at a better restaurant....)...the management did profusely apologize and did offer to comp this dissatisfied customer....kudos to the management for their exemplary efforts...maybe they should spend more time watching what is going OUT of the KITCHEN....than chatting with the customers.... I am happy to report that there is a bright side to those who prepared the meal tonight at Texas Roadhouse....you have a future career abusing the elderly at assisted living facilities like Brookdale did to my late mom. My family and I came in this past weekend. We had tried to visit weeks before but were surprised to find out that this restaurant gets really busy, like 1-hour wait busy. This time we made use of the waitlist on the website. We only waited a few minutes around dinner time. The ambiance was busy. It was pretty jam packed at 530PM but the service was great. Our server was very attentive and nice. The food was perfectly fine. Both my wife and I ordered steaks that came out as we had hoped. Our sides were fine as well but the true stars are the bread rolls with cinnamon butter. That ish is crack! One item I really disliked was the missing prices on drinks. I wasn't really interested in drinking but I dislike when prices are not listed at an establishment. Parking here can also be a bit of a pain. This is about the Town Center Tropea locatio. We like to sit at the bar. I have never seen this place so dirty. We come here a fair amount of time and it's NEVER unkept. One bartender came to watch the other bartender work. One bartender turned the wash water on and walked away. The bartender who came to watch, watched the sinks overflow!! When the other bartender came back she called it to her attention as she stood staring into space. We came for a free appetizer. The onion app was good. No one asked if we wanted to order anything else. We were full so it didn't really matter. The manager/lead (I think it's her title) didn't seem to notice the mess. I couldn't read her shirt. Maybe I misunderstood but, then the staring bartender was going to let new patrons sit in the mess. I literally had to yell at her to stop and clean the area!! The bathroom was a hot mess. The garbage was overflowing. One toilet wouldn't flush and was full of excrement. The other two BARELY flushed. This place ain't right anymore. Ummm so I never write reviews but I literally downloaded this just to tell yall the experience me and my friends had. We are all college age girls and had just been at the beach, one of us forgot shoes and only had socks (I get it's typically no shoes no shirt policy etc) we walk in get a table and no big deal. Our server gets us after a while and we order waters which take like 10 min. (Ok I get it things happen). Then the manager comes up and says "we have had customers complaining that yall don't have shoes and it's unsanitary tbh" we were like ok and she was like it's fine . Ok? So she walks away and we were like that was weird ok. Then all of the servers and manager huddle together and are staring and laughing at us!! One even walked by us looked at us and started laughing.
