I've heard great things about the makeupshack but unfortunately today I won't ever be returning. They should really have a better return policy and make it a lot more noticeable to the public when ordering online. I bought 10 lashes online and some of them were too long when I got them. So came in store to see if I could exchange them for ones that were shorter and they didn't allow me to exchange or return and I was really willing to just exchange to ones that I liked. They're all unopened and unused, package arrived at my home 2 days ago Now idk what to do with the lashes I can't wear because i line they don't look spider leg long. I would rather spend my money with Lilly lashes because they're quality is a lot better and never disappointed. I came here with my friends to shop. I was excited to buy some Suavecita products. It wasn't till driving back home (home for me is in the valley so it's not close) that I realized Jesus charged me twice for a hairspray when I only purchased one. I called and he said, "If you want to come back, we can fix that for you." I told him it was an inconvenience and THEN he said he could just fix it for me over the phone. Why not just say that in the first place? I really hope they improve on their customer service for the business. I will never return to this store. *TIPS: 1.) First time coming into The Makeup Shack! The ladies here are nice and are helpful when I had any questions about their lashes. I like how they had makeup wipes all around to wipe swatches off your hands if you tested anything. But after reading some reviews on customers who have been charged twice for an item I made sure to stay in the store after I paid for my items because I also was charged for something I did not buy. The girls were nice about it and apologized for their mistake but just a heads up to check your receipt before you head out. They only give a text receipt or email receipt. I love to shop at this store for nice false lashes and makeup brushes. I recently bought a pair from "luxxelashes" that they carry in the store. When I got home, I tried to peel it out of the box (gently) then it fell apart on me. My text receipt was deleted but Jesus Gomez was able to provide the best customer service. They originally couldn't do anything about it because I did not have my receipt. So I decided to look around for different lashes and planned on buying them. Then Jesus showed me two of their store brand lashes, I ended up liking both and offered to pay for one but he ended up gifting me both of them! After being tracked down on Instagram for my review, I was actually intrigued in the make up looks the owner had on her page. However when I went to take a closer look I realized she'd blocked me. Wow, needless to say I'm super disappointed in the customer service and overall experience this has left me with. This is a business after all and not childish games. As I scrolled down the other bad reviews I noticed they reached out to those customers, me on the other hand they felt the need to comment on my review. Umm can you say discriminatory? FYI no returns or exchanges on lip products, even new/unused. The staff is totally nice and they have a good selection of products, but I'm bummed that they aren't more informative. Especially for first time shoppers. I purchased the items for a gift (lip gloss, lip pencil, and Ben Nye powder), but wasn't informed that the items were final sale. I came in today and the guy said that it was ok to return. I decided to exchange to get something for myself, but when I came back to the counter another lady said no returns or exchanges for lip products. Totally wish that this info was more prominent. The lip products only cost $5, so I just left the store with the items on counter. Hopefully they can resell or use them as a tester, as it's not items I would normally use. Amazing. I made my first purchase from the Makeup Shack at IMATS. I bought the Jet Black brush set and the Silhouette large contour pallet. The brushes are so soft and blend able. The bag they come in is very good quality. The pallet was so creamy/buttery. My second purchase was the Rainforest pallet. It has been sold out for about two months but I signed up for the notification email. I got it yesterday and ordered it when I got off work. I paid for standard shipping and received it this morning. I place an order today and they filled it fairly quickly. Yet once I got there and called the number to have them give me my item did they not answer the phone when you can clearly see two employees in there doing absolutely nothing and then once I got down to knock they said I was unable to come into the store. Their customer service needs and adjust before they lose business. Too bad they items I got where good if not I would not be returning. Completely amazed with the store . Went in because I wanted to buy the Anastasia cream contour kit, what I bought here was so much better and at a fraction of the cost. Immediately I was greeted by the owner she helped me find exactly what I was looking for and literally so much less than what I thought I'd ever expect to pay. Depending on where you buy the product, the anesthesia contour kit usually runs around $50, I bought the same exact product for $22. When I left the store I got the contour kit, a blush set with four different colors and also a brush set, all totaling $55 bucks!! I completely understand why people love the store. Exceptional service and amazing products. This is a nice little shop in the Eldorado Plaza. The selection is limited, but they had what I was looking for - a morphe contour brush. They had a lot of La girl products too. Customer service was alright. No one greets you. No one offered to help, but I didn't need any assistance anyway because I knew what I wanted. It'd probably be better if they had more brands and more mirrors with stations to test the products at though. I am so happy that they have grown so much from a little small store to opening another location in Las Vegas where I also shop too when I am in Vegas. I was planning on making a long trip down to Burbank to check out the morphe store, but out of curiosity I decided to Yelp "morphe brushes" onto Yelp and found this gem! & It's only 7 minutes away from my house woohoo!!! They have a wall filled with assorted morphe brushes that includes the elite, flawless and gunmetal collection. Needless to say, I went kind of crazy and bought a sh*tload of brushes. The workers are really helpful too and will try to assist you if you look like you're overwhelmed with all the brushes they have. They have a 5% off offer if you pay in cash. I was planning to pay in cash but I didn't get enough cash from the atm -_- but the worker was so kind and gave me the 5% off even though I paid with card because I bought so many brushes!! I came here for the first time today for Morphe brushes. Unbeknownst to me, they no longer carry Morphe brushes. I was pretty bummed at first, but I ended up picking up about 7 or 8 of the makeup shack branded brushes and the crown brushes. I also ended up picking up 3 sets of lashes, 2 LA Girl concealers, a makeup shack eyeshadow palette (mahogany), the rcma translucent powder, a few powder puffs, and the beauty creations Sophia palette. Super organized store. It's really easy to find everything you're looking for. Some of the stock was pretty low, but I found everything I was looking for...and MORE! The service is helpful here but I will never, ever return. I've exclusively purchased lashes and Morphe palettes here and my last trip I decided to try a Frankie Rose foundation and concealer-TERRIBLE IDEA. I have never broken out so horribly in reaction to a product in my life. I called the store to return or exchange and like others have mentioned, their policy is the worst. As a store that carries cosmetic products, their final sale policy on 99% of the store is unreasonable. I basically wasted $70 on product I wouldn't even give to someone I don't like. Will be purchasing directly from brands and cutting this middleman with a crappy return policy out. read more
