I did not buy anything from Ulta Beauty. This review is in regard to Happy Returns. I ordered items from SHEIN and I needed to return some of the items. Ulta Beauty works in conjunction with Happy Returns so I was able to return my unwanted items to the Ulta Beauty store as an added convenience. The transaction was seamless and I got an email from SHEIN within an hour that they had received the items that I returned. My only issue was you are not given a physical receipt as proof of return which is why I took a picture while in the store. I will definitely use Happy Returns at Ulta Beauty again. read more

While the selection for cosmetics and skincare is desperately limited (although they do carry Osea, which I love!), the selection for hair care is relatively representative. I love my Alterna Caviar, Pureology, and Verb products....among so many others! And they always have the jumbo sized bottles available. Long hair and daily washings make this a necessity for me. Customer service is barebones minimal. They could benefit from some training on greeting and attending to customers; no one really hires based on personality anymore. First time using the Ulta Hair Salon! I got there on Tuesday around 12:10 for a 12:15 appointment. Parking was easy to find. As soon as I walked towards the Hair Salon she was ready to start! I had my appointment with Alina. I asked for a few inches off my hair since I wanted to get ALL the dead hair chopped off! She asked me a few questions of what I would like and prefer. She clarified a few things for me like the difference between layers & texture! I never knew there was a difference, lol! The haircut itself was relatively fast and she made sure I was okay with the length. The wash was AMAZING! Her hands are literally angelic! The massage was so relaxing and the shampoo smelled and felt really nice. The styling was also very nice. I just got a simple blow dry. I've never had my hair so soft after a blow dry. (Usually it's frizzy) We ended the appointment by her showing me the best heat protectant for how I usually style my hair! Can't wait to be back for my next haircut! read more

I was suppose to have an hair appointment at the ulta near main place but it didn't work out and I came to this location. Everyone was so friendly and nice! Maureen was so fun and so kind. Her energy was amazing! I love my hair. She explained everything to me and answered all my questions. My hair is naturally a dark drown and I wanted some brown into it. This review is for the hair salon specifically... I went in with a request for a blunt cut with long layers, specifically asking that my hair not be cut past my collarbone. Unfortunately, the result was far from what I expected. After a couple of weeks, when I finally had the opportunity to straighten my textured hair, I noticed that the cut was choppy and uneven, with very distinct layers instead of the blunt cut + long layers I requested. Initially, I didn't notice the issues due to how my ends were styled, but the difference became clear once I styled my hair straight. I understand that I should have reached out within the week.. but having textured hair I don't style it frequently. I've attached photos.. I know that this is not breakage from my hair. It's choppy , layers are not blended & definitely not a blunt cut. I reached out to customer service to address my concerns, and the manager contacted me to offer a fix with the same stylist. Feeling like this was my only option, I agreed. However, I called back a few days after asking to see a different stylist, I was informed that I would receive a call back about the process. A week has passed, and the day before my scheduled appointment, I still hadn't received any follow-up. When I called to inquire, I was told the manager was in a meeting and would call me back--but I have yet to hear from her. At this point, I am frustrated and unsure how to proceed. I want my hair fixed, but I worry that if I go through with it, the cut may end up being extremely short. I have always had positive experiences at this Ulta location until now, and I feel compelled to share this feedback. I recommend that potential clients seek referrals or check social media for stylist reviews before booking services. read more

I absolutely love Alina! She transformed my self confidence. My hair used to be at my shoulders due to a lot of bleach and heat damage. She recommended hand tied extensions and let me tell you they have been a game changer. She blended them and sewed them on perfectly, I've never had one person assume that I was wearing extensions. The pictures below are a before and after of my extensions AND the formal styling she did for my graduation photoshoot. The consultation she gives is amazing she helped me order easi pro through Ulta and even recommended I get the Ulta credit card for my service! I was excited to have an Ulta Beauty open up very close to home but unfortunately ended up leaving the store with a lackluster experience. Customer service definitely has room for improvement. For starters, this new location has a prime spot next to Target and the newly opened Nordstrom Rack. Because of this, parking can be challenging to find during peak hours. Luckily I was able to get a spot close to the store entrance. I like Ulta because they have fair prices and various sales/discounts throughout the year. Upon entering I was happy to see how large the space was and how organized everything looked. I was browsing on my own when a store associate came up to me and said "Are you looking for anything?" in a very monotonous, deadpan stare type of way. I told her I was looking for holiday gift sets and she immediately said they ran out. I then told her to lead me to the aisle for perfumes which she seemed to begrudgingly do and walked away shortly after. After browsing the rest of the store I discovered a whole section of gift sets towards the store's entrance which she either lied about or glossed over. It was a very weird thing to have a whole section dedicated to holiday gift sets and yet tell me otherwise. Once I went up to check out my items, the cashier tried to sell me on an Ulta Beauty credit card FOUR times. For future reference, one time is enough. After I said "no thank you" twice she should have gotten the picture. Needless to say, I think I'll stick to online ordering from now on! read more

This review is for Chelsea. She was my cashier this past Saturday and she was amazing. I came in with a bunch of gift cards that I had been saving for a special occasion. On Saturday I bought hair products for my wedding and a foundation. I wasn't aware you can't use gift cards all on one transaction but Chelsea helped me divide the order and kept me calm throughout the payment process. I was getting anxiety because the line was starting to get long but it was nice having somebody that didn't get annoyed. Thank you so much Chelsea. Go see my new favorite person Yolanda to get your brows done! If you're looking for a quickie brow wax, this ain't it. It was my first time seeing her so she took her time to map out what she was going to remove before starting to make sure I felt comfortable with her plan. She also started light because I was very insistent on keeping my thick brows thick. She made my brows look even better than I could've imagined. She listened to what I wanted and gave suggestions that helped them look their best. There are probably about 6 Ulta locations between my house and this one, but Yolanda is worth the longer drive (even on the 91). Can't wait to go back! read more

I didn't have the best experience at this Ulta with their customer service... I came in to exchange a perfume that was given to me as a gift and the cashier person who helped me was really nice at first and said she will check to see how much I will get for it since it is a "blind" return I will get whatever it comes up as and may be lower then what its worth. Her manager came and checked and the cashier person holding the perfume noticed a sticker underneath it. The manager just had her take it off and scanned it and said I would get $107 in credit for it. Manager walked away and the cashier person told me it wouldn't be worth it and to just regift it... i told her ill think about it cause there is still another perfume i really wanted but i wanted to go smell them first before I make a decision. I asked if it was ok if I leave my shopping bag up front since ill most likely come back and exchange it. Her whole demeanor changed! She said no and just pushed my stuff towards me. Fine... I go look at all the perfumes and finally found the one I really wanted. I bring it back up and its the same cashier helping me since beginning. All of the sudden she says she cant do the exchange since the perfume wasn't originally bought from there.... Ok yes that seems valid BUT thats not what I was told at first.. So I said, but you literally told me I would get $107 in credit. And she said No I didn't! And I said yes you did! You said I would get $107 and I was going to go get a different perfume, where else would I get that number from?! She asked if I wanted to speak with the manager and I said yes! Manager came up didn't say a word at first, but right away did the exchange for me said here you go, didn't bag it for me, and just went on her way. Reason why I'm giving this place 2 stars was because the customer service was unpleasant. I don't know why that persons demeanor changed after seeing a sticker on the perfume I brought to exchange. It was genuinely a gift that I was trying to exchange! It was not a fake perfume and it was a full bottle at that! If it may have been bought somewhere else and they couldn't do the exchange then they should of told me that since the beginning and I would of understood. I don't understand what her problem was after that it honestly made me feel uncomfortable. I will never understand employees like this. Its not going to come out of YOUR POCKET if I'm doing an exchange. In fact you'll probably throw the bottle away for someone to dumpster dive in the middle of the night or keep it for yourself! -_- read more

I took my mother (92 yrs) into Ulta Beauty in Anaheim Hills on 5/22/25 @ 7:30/8:00 pm. She was lucky enough to have Maggie helping her select the beauty items off her list. Maggie was very patient walking her all over the store to select the right product, answering all of her questions in detail and showing her every lipstick color in the rainbow on the back or her hand. She also advised her on the best choices for several products. Maggie was great, really helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about all the products. She's a great employee! Been coming to this location ever since the Village Mall in Orange closed down, I followed my stylist Minh to this location and he's hands down my FAV stylist I've had thus far at an Ulta location. He slays my hair color every time and knows how to cut my curls. Not only that but he's so sweet, incredibly knowledgeable, helpful and just over all amazing. I can't say enough great things about him! I only come to this location to get my hair cut by Josh! I was very hesitant to get bangs because my previous hair stylist (of 6 years) at a different salon told me I wouldn't look good with them. I originally found josh at the city of industry Ulta and went for just a trim and over time color. Told him about how I was wanting bang and what I was previously told. He talked to me about which style would look best for me and i was extremely happy with the results! When I found out he was moving to this location I told him I'd follow him any where. When it was time for my 6 year old to get her first real hair cut (not just by her grandma in our bathroom) I trusted Josh to cut her hair as well. He is so kind and patient with her.
