However, within minutes I got a cart and determined I was going to get my selection from here. They have so many options! When I checked out, the gentleman was so kind and boxed my items up in a huge carton and asked if I found everything okay. He even offered I pay by zelle so that I wouldn't get an additional charge on my card. Once I paid he walked me to my car and helped me load the huge box of candies. What incredible service. Enticed by the large Hebrew text conjoining two Palestinian-owned Jerusalem businesses, I was…read morecompelled to take a peek. The plaza has plenty of parking and houses a few other ethnic restaurants and spas, so it's very easy to get to during a Disneyland trip. Inside, there are tons of stuff from the Levant, spices, halal gummies, imported chocolates, homemade Dubai chocolate, and a huge selection of Turkish delights and roasted nuts made by them. They also have a wide variety of baklava and fresh knafeh right there ready to cut, which is a sweet cheese dessert with a fun kataifi crunch. The gentleman who helped me was very kind, though there was a slight language barrier. He let me try a bunch of nuts when I inquired - and I sort of had to, since several varieties were unlabeled, or just had a sign for what they were, or what the flavor was, but not vice versa. The nuts were good and seemed like a good and healthy snack to bring into a theme park or to have at home. I thought the flavors I tried were hard to distinguish from another after a while, and subtle. I had the fresh Dubai chocolate and thought it was pretty nice, distinctly bitter, nutty, moist, with tons of fresh kataifi crunch. You do have to keep it refrigerated though, as I assume it's made with ingredients that wouldn't hold well together at room temperature - typically a better sign in terms of paleo diets if you've ever made paleo chocolates for yourself. It's a bit atypical from other Dubai chocolate as the filling quantity here is uniquely generous. It's very rare to see a cute, almost timeless shop like this, containing lots of traditional and authentic goods. Would enjoy revisiting to try their coffee and the nearby food.

Not just candy or cupcakes here! Candy Vixen has so many dessert options!…read more I communicated mainly with Desiree through email. Though her quote prices were at the higher end of my budget range, her desserts looked and sounded so enticing, that I decided to consider her as a vendor for my dessert table. From her menu, I was mainly interested in mini donuts (though they are not the fried kind) as well as chocolate covered pretzels, cookies and popcorn. Aside from cupcakes and cake pops, her desserts also included goodies such as mini brownie bites, rocky road cups, chocolate dipped Oreos, candy apples and cotton candy tubs. Everything sounded so delightful, and I had not yet seen a dessert vendor with SO many goodies to offer! Her popcorn flavors were a good variety, such as Milk & White Chocolate Drizzle, White Cheddar, Almond Caramel, Cinnamon Bun, Peanut Butter and Chocolate, and Jalapeno Cheddar among others! I decided to ask for samples, and were pleased that they were free and could be delivered to your door. However, Desiree had mentioned that she could only provide samples of goods that were available, so unless someone ordered a popcorn buffet, I would not be able to sample it. I had mentioned to her the goodies I preferred to try. She was going to have an event in PV so she provided me samples from the event that day. I found the box on my front porch. http://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=iMnf6HB-Ye8xfbVDoKO8_Q&userid=M-Xtpt3o_tx-PPAX9DOSNw Inside the sampler box were mini cupcakes, cake pops (without sticks) and some kind of (plain/NY?) cheesecake. http://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=hAEPWCLrP2N3AQvkIhHTaA&userid=M-Xtpt3o_tx-PPAX9DOSNw I am not a big red velvet fan, and those were the cupcakes provided. My fiancé enjoyed it though. I found the cake pops soft and chocolatey, and the cheesecake not too sweet, but I would've picked another flavor. If I wanted cupcakes or cake pops, I would consider Candy Vixen for my wedding, however, it was difficult for me to proceed with a vendor without having seen or tried the preferred goods. Because of this, I did not choose Candy Vixen as my dessert table vendor, but I would definitely consider them for other upcoming events!

It is adjacent to a bakers' supply store (not sure if the two shops are related). My current quest is to find the best macarons, so when I saw that macarons are listed as featured category, I knew I had to check them out! The inside is arranged like a cross between a candy store and the prize counter at Chuck E Cheese ~ kid heaven! They had a couple of displays with jumbo dipped marshmallows and decorated cookies. They also serve Thrify ice cream. All of this was fun, BUT as I walked in, I was hit with an unexpected awful smell. It wasn't burnt food or sugar, but more of a sewage smell. I don't know if it was a problem with the plumbing, but it was definitely off-putting. Nevertheless, I powered on. I asked about what available flavors they had for macarons. And this is where my quest to find the best macarons ended here. They had NONE available :/ Not wanting to leave 100% empty handed, I picked up a couple of their dipped Oreos. Sadly, there was nothing about them that stood out. I haven't decided if I want to come back in hopes of trying their macarons. If I do, I sure hope the shop smells better.
