Cookie is the best! She's helped me with my Mac issues a number of times. Last week my older laptop went kaput and I decided to get a new one instead of pour a lot of money into an older computer. I immediately called up Cookie and she gave me great advice, guidance and specs recommendations on what type of computer I should purchase to fit my needs. Once I got the computer she helped me transfer all of my data from my old computer to the new one. I had so much junk I needed to delete, files and folders I needed to organize and things to clean up. She was able to transfer everything, organize it all and give me a tutorial on the new laptop in only about an hours time. Cookie is very patient, a great multi-tasker and a really fun person to talk to. Cookie is a mac fairy godmother. I don't want to understand technology I just want things to work. Cookie got everything to work. She set up my iPhone, made sure my system was up to date, clean, and ran faster. She set up my data back up, fixed my wireless network and solved an email issue I had for years that no one else could figure out. She explained what she was doing in plain English, was wicked fast, gave me some good advise on how to upgrade when the time is right. And promised to teach me the programs I will need to know. What I appreciated most was she listened to my problems and addressed and solved everything on my (long) list. I learned about Cookie through a friend in the Bay Area (I live in Austria), as I often travel there for work. The idea of having remote repair was foreign to me, but after talking to Cookie on the phone and finally meeting her in person, I realized this was the best solution. Since then, Cookie has fixed every problem I've had on my Apple, both remotely and in person when I have visited. She has advised me superbly about purchases, and has found brilliant solutions that no one around here would even think of. I see Cookie as a kind of computer whisperer. The Macmama is a genius! My computer simply went blank and nothing I could do would start it. After calling Apple Care and working for hours to try to repair it over the phone, I was ready to call the undertaker. Then I remembered a column I read in the Piedmont Post (Cookie writes a wonderful and entertaining computer geek column there) I decided to call her. She came over the same day, was professional and warm and got right to work. Her troubleshooting skills were exemplary. She seemed to know exactly what to do, almost like a Mac whisperer. She checked my modem and power supply and in the midst of repairing the main problem, discovered a glitch in my internet service, which prompted her to call Comcast to clear up an outdated DNS setting that even they didn't know about. Long story short, she got my computer purring within 2 hours and was able to speed up my internet service as well, and...her price was so fair and nice I will definitely call her again.
