Tl;dr: Do not use this company if you have a pet with medical issues that needs medication. Hit or…read moremiss with individual sitters and you have no choice or control over who they send over. I will never use them again after my TERRIBLE experience. Initially used this service for a short business trip with success so tried again for a longer trip to see family between Christmas and NYE. The company sent a sitter I had never met who incorrectly used the pill injector on my sick, elderly cat and forced her to swallow the over inch-long applicator tip. Resulted in $3,000 emergency vet surgery to remove that I had to manage from out of town. So deeply stressful for me but mainly my poor elderly asthmatic cat!! They handled it but SO unnecessary and only happened bc of their bizarre business model where they pick whichever of their employees are available, not someone who knows your house/pet. So if you get one who knows what they're doing you don't necessarily get them again - it's totally random from the customer's perspective. Instead of enjoying my family I had to spend the time managing the emergency they created from afar, stressed and fuming that I trusted this company to send someone competent to care for my sweet older cat. After the first disastrous pill delivery issue they sent the **same person** again a day later who clearly doesn't know how to give a cat medication and she, again, incorrectly gave my cat her medication!!! My cat gets ill if she misses just one day, the medication is a high-dose steroid for her asthma. The employee did not know how to give her the pill, but still marked the medication as administered on their form (I only figured out it didn't happen when I read the notes) and instead of giving her the pill rubbed it on her gums -?!? I am FURIOUS for my poor cat and at the incompetence of this employee they continue to use, along with the management that assured me they know how to give cats medication and yet still sent this individual out after it was proved that they cannot give a cat medication effectively. The other employees seemed to be ok but I had no choice over who they sent over, meaning every visit was a gamble. If you need anything beyond the most basic service, avoid avoid avoid!!!

I imagined her making brownies, popcorn, having a BBQ and not turning off the grill afterwards. Carried away-then I remembered this is Molly, our favorite cat, and prepared to have someone else in our messy house. The manager "Mollie" was very organized. We, were very detailed. I organized food in one cabinet, with post-its for info, post-it where her room litterbox was after already giving info to the manager I think it helped make things simpler. We started getting daily reports, with "basics" box checked. They were thorough, precise, and complete. My Dad worked for Polaroid for 20 years, and these pet sitters were awesome at taking pictures. Every day we'd open up the emails and this noise would come out of our mouths: not ooh! Yecch! But...: Awwww, look at how cute she looks. Her wariness and caution as a cat showed, but her shyness rounded the corner a bit. Sitter4paws let us take a long vacation worry free at what we thought were reasonable prices, for a truly truly worry free vacation. Great communicators, responsible, and reliable, and awesome photographers. Thank you!

They sent regular updates and pictures and Jen was great at putting together coverage for a full week on short notice! A lot of people look for the cheapest option but there are 2 big benefits I see with investing in actual professionals - 1. We knew our pets were getting the best care so didn't feel guilty and 2. We had someone in the house while we were away. The second one was important to us because we were broken into when on a previous vacation (when we lived in same city a few houses away in a very safe neighborhood). The police told us keeping visible activity in and out of the house while gone can help prevent this. The cost for quality care was much less than the value of what was taken in that incident. When we returned our pets were obviously very well cared for. The sitters slept in our guest room but brought their own linens to use on top of ours so we wouldn't have to do laundry which I though my was extra thoughtful (though we would have been happy for them to use ours). Will be using them whenever we go away and highly recommend - just plan ahead so you can book them in advance! Bonus points for their text updates on the pets being hilarious

On the first day of the scheduled walk my dog did not want to have his leash put on and even growled and showed his teeth to gabby. She was so kind and patient with him!! She spent 1 hour trying to get him to walk with her... she truly loves what she does and it shows!! He eventually got acclimated to her and now he loves her!! Reid's experience as a trainer and his love for dogs was apparent and Panda fell in love with him right away. There is plenty of clean play area and the big room where they sleep is immaculate and beautiful with different resources to meet each dog's need.. Reid evaluates all new dogs to make sure that all dogs blend well together which was important to us because Panda had not been with other dogs before. It was all a big multi-day play date for her and a worry free trip for us. He posted pictures so that we could see Panda having a good time. Reid really focuses in on each dog to make sure that their needs are met. We learned a lot about Panda from him too. It was a great experience for Panda and for us!

The neat and organized board of visuals of the the up-for-adoption pets (dogs / cats / critters) was a unique touch I had never seen at another shelter. As the person in the relationship who has never owned a cat, I felt as though I was at a huge disadvantage in both advocating on behalf of our Aussie but also facilitating a compatible future partner in crime. Given that we were understandably unable to facilitate a meet and greet with both pets, I am very appreiciative of Christine, who helped us as she was both incredibly kind and patient with me, taking the time to provide thoughtful answers to all the questions and concerns I had. it was very reassuring being able to lean into Christine.

I took my tortoise to Exotic Animal Veterinary Center because he had stopped eating, hoping to finally understand what was wrong and get a clear treatment plan. Instead, I spent over $1,000 in just two days and left feeling like I had more questions than answers. The doctor was unable to give us the explanations we were asking for, and the diagnostic process felt extremely slow. We waited what felt like forever for results, and ultimately, we still did not have a clear answer about why my tortoise wasn't eating or what was actually wrong with him. What made the experience even more frustrating was that despite spending such a significant amount of money, I felt like the focus was on recommending additional services and costs rather than giving us meaningful answers. I understand that veterinary medicine, especially exotic animal medicine, can be complicated and that not every case has an immediate diagnosis. But when a client spends over $1,000 in two days, they should at least leave with clear communication, a reasonable explanation of the findings, and an understanding of what happens next. Instead, I left frustrated, disappointed, and still searching for answers about my tortoise. Very disappointing experience. Based on my experience, I would not return.

We adopted our two other birds from local fosters and non-profits. After texting the number of the organization, I was immediately in touch with Marie, sweetest person-ever! We coordinated a date and time to come by and see the available cockatiels ready for adoption. I brought my partner and daughter along. As we got a review of the birds, Marie's hyacinth macaw Howard came over to greet us. Such a handsome, boy! We landed in adopting out a young male cockatiel (likely to be 1 year old due to the pearls still visible in his feathers) named "Patrick". He'd been saved from the elements, rescued after being dropped from the sky by a crow. Marie helped get him back in tip top shape, provided me the labs for his current health state (healthy!) and his DNA sexed paperwork. I appreciated the level of care and service Marie provided. She was professional, detailed, and super accommodating. I really loved her level of attention to understanding each and every bird's quirks, preferences, and history. Before we left, Marie provided a bit of food, snacks, and helped us pick a few perches and toys that "Patrick" would be happy with from his current cage. I was very grateful to be able to donate towards the foundation through Venmo. They also do cash or check, or Zelle. The feel the contribution/donation fee is minuscule compared to the value you give back to new member(s) of your flock. I understand only time will heal him from the trauma of his ordeal. We hope the love, care, and patience, our family can provide him with the right environment to help him heal at his own pace. If you're ever looking to adopt a bird in need, look no further than Fine Feathered Friends. Marie is wonderful and so dedicated, and it shows!

We arrived at 6pm when the event was supposed to start and person out front said they were still setting up and would be starting soon. They let us in the main area where the cats were a few minutes later but apparently they meant they were BARELY starting to set up. We had to awkwardly maneuver and wait around while they were getting tables and chairs set up and then we didn't get started til 645 which is pretty bad when your event is advertised as starting at 6. It was nice to walk around to see and pet the cats but that was not the primary point of the visit. What made this a pretty poor experience was the instructor and lack of organization. I've been to other paint events and you usually know what the inspo is ahead of time and the paint palette is provided with all the colors and right amounts you would need. They passed around the inspo pic and we had to wait while it was going around the room to take a picture and then we had to go up front to pick our own colors. The brushes were so overused and limp, floppy, and just in bad shape. The instructor said maybe 3 sentences to say she was going to outline the cat but there was no guidance whatsoever around how to shade, how to outline, how to do anything. It was not beginner friendly whatsoever and I think most of us were literally just winging it. The instructor also did not walk around the room or offer any assistance, feedback or help. I could tell some others were over painting and just got up to play with the cats. The concept is great but execution kind of failed. I'm sure they're not a trained paint instructor and maybe an employer or volunteer who likes to paint but that doesn't make for a good experience. We expected to have direction and instruction to paint. So essentially we paid $40 to be around cats and maybe $5-$10 worth of materials. Definitely would not recommend this event.

The Long Leash is awesome, my kiddos (doggies) and I have new friends! Had a short notice need for care for them as I was going away for the holidays. A friend could stay but said they were not able to stay during the actual holiday. Reached out to The Long Leash and spoke with Leanne who was so understanding and accommodating that she was going to make it work for me, working together on a solution. I felt so comfortable talking with her and gosh, just so pleased, and we hadn't even met yet! Later that evening, Leanne called, everything was going to be fine! Again, so happy! We met for nearly two hours couple days before I left. Leanne and Skye (who would be staying with my kiddos) were just so amazing. We took them for a walk and talked. I received phone calls, photos and got to talk with my dogs on the phone! I will be asking them for services of dog walking and sitting going forward. Great folks! Trusting! Amazing! I have always been nervous about the idea of having someone, not only come into my home when I'm not there, but then take my pup out for a walk without my supervision. Until that is, I met Leanne from The Long Leash company. The moment I met Leanne, I knew it was going to be a good fit. Her kind and comforting nature, helped to ease my concerns, and her attention and diligence to the needs of of my pup were/are very apparent. The first time Leanne came to take my pup out for a walk, I of course was a wreck. (Not to her fault at all. You just hear stories about other services all the time, about negligence and irresponsibility, and those nervous thoughts were plaguing my mind.) However, Leanne was (and is) so incredible from the moment she arrived at my home. I received a thorough update from start to finish. Amazing experience with Leanne from the Long Leash!! Even though I usually walk Gilbert (My Bull Dog) myself, he seemed to be putting on weight and I knew he could use an extra day time walk while I am at work. I didn't want to impose on family and friends (sometimes Gilbert gets grumpy) so I hired Leanne. What an angel/dog expert. She knew the breed well, worked within my time schedule, and she she visits Gilbert, my phone dings! Then I see where they walked, the route, the time they spent together (I get 30 minute walks) and the price was reasonable. I leave everyday knowing that Gilbert is going to be visited by someone that loves him and I get a picture of them together (Usually kissing...I was a little jealous at first) everyday! I am so grateful we found the Long Leash. We adopted a small dog that ended up having lots of anxiety issues and very difficult to walk due to her extreme reactivity. Our trainer recommended the Long Leash, and it has been such a positive experience for us. They've been really patient and flexible with us. Over time (we've been with them about 6 months), I've really come to rely on their sound advice and referrals for services. Our dog is NOT EASY, but they love her just as much as we do. They even came and helped out a dog sitter having a really difficult time with our dog while we were on vacation. Their customer service is one of the best I've experienced, period. Leanne is about as sweet as they come. From start to finish she was warm and communicative. She gave us regular updates on how our girls were doing while we were gone. Just prior to our departure, we discovered a small wound on our dog's leg. I left the appropriate supplies for wound care and Leanne took care of the rest. She even offered to take our pug to the vet for an exam if necessary. The dogs of course fell in love with Leanne immediately when they met her during our pre-vacation visit. I will definitely use Leanne again when we travel. She genuinely enjoys her work and has a true love for animals. The Long Leash and Leanne in particular has been an absolute blessing for our family. My wife and I work long and stressful hours but having the Long Leash take care of our pups during the day alleviates a tremendous amount of stress for us. We have two big dogs with a wide age gap and very different needs, but Leanne understands them both and takes great care of them. We have used a variety of dog walkers in the past in the many different cities in which we have lived, but we have never found anyone this consistent and with whom the dogs are so clearly in love. The team at The Long Leash are an amazing caring group of animal lovers! We were headed to Europe and were nervous about leaving our Cocker Spaniel and Tabby Cat. However, after searching reviews on Yelp, I found Leanne and The Long Leash! Best phone call I ever made... the minute they met our animals it was love at first sight and peace of mind for me. So happy that I found this dog walker. We like both of the dog walkers who we have met and more importantly, our dog loves them both. We love the fact that Leanne is able to send real time photos of the walk, and actually lets us know when the walk is complete and how our dog, Nugget behaved. (Nugget is not too friendly with other dogs). Everything has been great and also importantly, unlike our previous dog walker, Leanne and Scott arrive on time and never miss the walks. We love Leanne and Skye of The Long Leash! Oliver, our Old English Sheepdog is very sensitive and can be nervous with new situations. Skye is so patient and loving with him. She always goes above and beyond just a walk - cleaning his ears, a quick brush and sitting with him in the house. I'm so impressed with the level of service. Always shows up on time, detailed update of how the walk went and an alert if she notices any issues. Right after the walk I can read online how Oliver is doing. I trust them 100% with Oliver. I can't imagine my dog not having Leanne, Skye and The Long Leash crew as part of her (and our) life! You need not look any further for people who will care for your dog as if she is one of their own. Lou Lou is always so happy to be with them, and we know she is in the best of care, whether it be on a walk or if they stay overnight with her when we travel. Our walker Leeanne and the Long Leash are wonderful! She truly loves animals and we can tell that our dog is not quite as lonely when we come home after her visits. She always lets us know how each walk went, complete with photos and details about all the little interactions our dog had on his walk. We are always excited to get the little notification and check the photos and read if he had any adventures! I feel totally secure letting her into my house and letting her care for our dog. I do not like to use kennels, so when we left our two dogs at home during a recent trip, we used The Long Leash for the first time. They were fed and walked regularly, and we were impressed with the love and attention our two dogs received. Leanne even texted a picture of their smiling faces during one of their walks, and left some homemade dog treats for us on our return! We care deeply about the well-being of our dogs, and will definitely use The Long Leash for future needs. read more

Leanne is a very loving and caring person! And thus she is the same with your pets. Our dogs love her and have the attack of happy tails whenever they see her. We have two cats and Skye is just amazing with them! Even the shy one will come to her for belly rubs! She is such a wonderful sitter, very responsible and really intuitive, it's clear how much she connects with animals. But after visiting LA Dog Training, we can now take our dog to the park and see him enjoy it, rather than struggle through it. They showed us and our dog so much care, compassion, and individualized attention. They took time for sessions with us humans to make sure we can communicate with our dog properly. Not in her job description, but she did so without being asked. The house is alarmed and she never failed at disarming it and re-arming it when she left. Always gave our Nika a good brushing, fresh food and water and dealt with the litter box. She spent time with Nika, and included pictures of her every day. Totally trustworthy. So I did some research and came across "Obedience, Please!" I was thrilled! I had been joking that, in honor of Taylor swift, we were going to do a "Life of a Showdog" film once I got her trained. So to find out Howie trained dogs for show biz back in the day?! What a dream. Being part boarder collie, the training was much more difficult than I had previously been hoping for on my own. Despite (and maybe because of) her incredible intelligence, she also has a tremendous amount of energy, and love to give. With my chronic condition it was just becoming too much. She's been in the program for seven weeks, has taken a huge liking to David and behaves beautifully with him. I'm nervous to have her on my own but she just graduated today and I am so much more confident! She listens like spring and she talks like June, my sweet baby angel. I've been singing to her "she's a maniac" but swapped it out with "brainiac" all afternoon: lovin' it. We have already been practicing the commands at home and plan to be diligent about continuing education. Thank you, David, for your hard work, determination and diligence with her training. The process is easy and relaxed. I recommend calling ahead for an appointment, ideally a month or so in advance. Once Lucy goes in, her cleaning takes about 30 minutes. Afterward, they review the cleaning with me and give me feedback on her teeth and oral health. We're usually there about an hour total. There are coffee and food spots nearby, so while Lucy is being taken care of, I usually grab a coffee, walk around the nearby shops, and relax until she's ready.

Dude almost died when we had to remove all his teeth. When we adopted him and his partner, they were super neglected advance case rescues--and this little guy has bad lungs, liver, pancreas, and personality (IYKYK these little jerks). In 2025, after we took out the poor guy's remaining teeth, his pancreas started failing post-op. It took us about 6 months to get him back to health. In that time, he lost a ton of weight and most of his hair. His butt was actually bald! Then, miraculously, or through pure yorkie dark side terrier magic, he actually got MORE healthy with MORE hair...but different hair, and different texture, and even different colors! It is wild. Today, we took him in for his first groom since being on the verge of death, and the little guy looks like a puppy again. He clearly feels great with the last few months of bulk coming off. In any case, this is THE best spot for getting your dog groomed if you need to know that they will be treated right. I am so worried 24/7 about this little fragile dude, and Roch and Gertrude is the only place I leave him besides the vet where I cannot keep eyes on him.
