You can also pay for a parking pass through their website but the lot only opens up an hour beforehand so be sure to plan your evening with that in mind. We ended up parking on the street for only $3 since we arrived early to grab dinner nearby. The entry line was super long and literally went around the block but it moved surprisingly fast. Staff was friendly and helpful at the door. The inside was dark when we arrived and it would've been nice to have some house lights so people could find their way around the venue a little easier. The AC was cranking and the temp was comfortable. Upstairs has standing room and some bleachers which provides a good view with less of a crowd. Their VIP area looks nice and I'd be interested in splurging next time for a seat and a better view. There's bars downstairs and upstairs and even some food concessions. Getting out of the venue from the balcony was a bit stressful with only one way out. It makes you imagine what would happen if you needed to get out in a rush... other than that, it's a good space.

The only problem is parking can be hard to find. There is a lot across the street, but it opens up an hour before the show. Honestly, it's usually just easiest to take Metro in and walk over. There are plenty of great restaurants nearby so it's easy to grab a bite before the show. The drinks are solid. It's mostly standing room but you can get a seat for accessibility reasons or if you pay for VIP.

We decided to stay and check it out, @1pm on a Sunday. Brunch is from 11a-4pm. There was only 1 other person for brunch, when we arrived. There was a DJ was that playing super loud music. Mostly rap music. The food was good. Fresh salad, fruit, meats etc. Unlimited mimosas was $25 per person. We could only order 1 flavor at a time, which there was about 8 flavors. They were good By 3pm, the place was more so filling up. What was crazy was at 4pm, the workers started breaking down the buffet-- quickly!! A group that had arrived @ 3 were caught off guard that brunch was ending. The workers did provide everyone with TAKE HOME Boxes, so we filled our boxes as fast as they were breaking it down lol Hookah guy arrived, think it was a total of $68. The hookah was good Gratuity is automatically included. Our waitress was GREAT! Only thing I didn't like, the place had her walking around in a tight leopard body suit, with her arms out, like this was the Playboy mansion. It was cold in there. I would come back for brunch - just know, there was not a mention of a Buffet brunch online

Online the place looks great and interesting so we decided to hit it up around 9pm because it doesn't close until 2am. So when we walked in the place was pitch black and the vibe was really off. We had to pay $20 a person to enter which at first I was confused because I thought this place was games, bars, music, and vibes...not at all. So we were walking around and the crowd I'll just say wasn't the type I wanted to be around. Only one bar was open and the music was weird. So we decided to leave and when I asked the person who was taking the money what was going on tonight they said an event. Now, this event was not posted anywhere on their website or social media. So I would caution going at night or call beforehand because I don't think I would want to come back because it was nothing like it is portrayed online.

This place rocks, and I'm not saying that because of the music…read more Looking at DC9's reviews over the last 15 years, high praise for the burgers is not hard to find. Funny, though, it is even harder to find DC9 on any "best" burgers lists in the city, at least among the local publications that cover food. Trust in the recommendations from Reddit led me here. I left a little room for disappointment, but it was ultimately filled with a delicious burger and fries. The first floor is a dedicated bar and restaurant with the concert venue upstairs. On a 20-degree Sunday night, it looked spacious. The menu is not large at all. There are six types of burgers and I chose the French Onion - "saucy" caramelized onions, Gruyère cheese, and crispy fried onions on top of a half-pound patty. I give it an "A" presentation. The ingredients were not stacked too high and I loved the caramelized onion flavor in each bite. The burger meat also was cooked at medium. Next to it was a stack of garlic fries. Shouldn't there be bits of garlic all over it? No, just bite into a fry and it tastes like garlic! I don't know how they do it. On the way out, I asked the one bartender that night if DC9's burgers were a huge draw. He said yes, it's a low key place for burgers but people do come here for them and the chicken sandwich as well. DC9 deserves a spot among the greats in the city not only because the burger tastes good, but it is also a great value! $15 for a burger that comes with fries. There are places where that's the price of the burger alone, or it is even more now!

I don't really go "clubbing" much but DC9 was a lot of fun. We attended two performances. The club…read moreis not far from metro. The rooftop bar is not as exciting as I hoped but it is a fun place to grab a drink or have a snack. The bar food is reasonable (average items $3-$10, & up). Happy hour drinks were $3-$6 on average. There are lots of stairs. I am not excited about stairs. There is a bar on the lower level. Guests can grab a bite and a drink and never deal with stairs. If you attend a concert or a show, you will go up a flight of stairs to enter (two flights for the rooftop bar). The schedule is laid back. When a flyer says, "Doors open at 7:00pm," they mean 7:00pm-ish." The stage area is small. There are only a handful of tables. The metal stools are not extremely comfortable. But after you pay the cover charge (varies $15-$20 the night we visited) there isn't a minimum amount of food/drinks. There are complimentary water pitchers. The place is a fun dive. I would enjoy date night without seeing a show. The space is limited but people enjoyed dancing. Independent artists perform and sell merchandise at the counter. Be alert at night. I would have people with me if I were visiting in the evening.

We had premium box seats with in-seat service, which allowed us to place orders throughout the show; my husband and our friends took advantage of that convenience. Other amenities at the concert hall include a lounge with a full-service bar that opens 90 minutes before showtime and is exclusive to guests for the first hour. There is also a rooftop area, available for select performances, that offers impressive views of the Capital, along with merchandise available for purchase. A quick note for visitors: small bags up to 12" x 6" x 12" are permitted, and all bags are searched prior to entry. We came to see Brit Floyd, and everything about the experience was exceptional--the service, the acoustics, the laser and screen visuals, and the intimate feel of the venue.

The theater itself is beautiful--its decor always gives me a jazz-era renaissance vibe that adds to the atmosphere. Recently, I came to see Lalah Hathaway and Robert Glasper, and while the show itself was great, the acoustics for live music were unfortunately not. From where I was seated, it was difficult to clearly hear the vocals, which took away from the performance. The venue itself is stunning and has hosted some memorable shows for me, but based on this experience, it seems better suited for theater and dance performances than for certain live music concerts. Despite the sound issues, I still enjoyed the show as much as I could and would return for the right performance.
