Came here Friday to see Michelle Buteau and man, it was a great show! The theatre was a nice size, comfortable seats. Check-in was a breeze. Staff were very helpful.

The Warner Theatre gets one star for the location and another star for the venue. It is beautiful! They lose three stars for their SHADY business practices. I attended a viewing of the Set It Off play today (which was amazing). I purchased tickets a few days ago and received an email about upgrade options. I saw that I could get a suite for $40/per guest. I decided to wait until I spoke to my husband about it. The next morning, I checked the website and the price was $40. I sent a request and got a response from Esme. She left a voicemail stating that it would be $160 for two guests.... what?! I followed up via email and asked why would it cost that much when it is $40 per guest. She informed that the price recently increased because it was almost sold out... that did not make any sense to me. Why would it increase suddenly like that? It literally was one price in the morning and another in the afternoon. It's giving scam. I don't plan on patronizing this business again due to this incident.

Nice intimate theater. A little larger than Ford. I was here for a great comedy show. This gives old world DC vibes. Antique yet modern. Comfortable seats and up close orchestra seating! Nice venue.

Convenient location The theatre is comfortable and easy to access by Metro or car (there are multiple parking garages in the area). The seats and the sound are good.

Came here for a show and although it's a smaller venue, they do a really good job of getting people in and out, and really no matter where you sit- it's a good seat. We were in the upper balcony in the very last row and had a great view of the stage. The only complaint I had was the heat. It was so hot up there I had to take a few bathroom breaks so my kids and I didn't overheat. It is the middle of one of the coldest winters in the area so maybe they were making sure their patrons were warm- we were! All in all, I would come back

Good DC Theatre -- Music Concerts & other Events Intimate theatre which excellently sized for musical events and personality events. I've seen Somebody Feed Phil, the star of the Netflix series about food and travel, foodie travel. They had a pseudo living room set up on stage where he spoke about food, travel and funny moments while filming. I also recently saw Peruvian American mega stars, Tony Succar and his amazingly talented Mamí, Mimy Succar. Their performances was incredible, it had my whole body and soul moving to the music. They had adult beverages in the lobby, which were strong and priced for the location. Now, entering the theatre was super smooth and easy, and the ushers were helpful and friendly. If you have the opportunity to attend an event here, you'll like it.

This place is a perfect theater to take the family! There isn't a bad seat in the house! Has a very cozy feel to it unlike larger theaters and it's beautiful! The customer service is next level, very organized and fast service for drinks and snacks. We saw the Nutcracker - it was fabulous! Adds in a revolutionary war theme which is perfect for DC!! Great time!!

Went to Warner Theatre to see the Nutcracker performed by The Washington Ballet. It was a super fun night out in the city. Warner Theatre was clean, the attendants were helpful, and seating was comfortable even during a long show. I feel like most seats had a pretty good view. Almost felt like I had been transported back to NYC. Was so fun to walk out to live music. Definitely recommend for your next night out in D.C.

Excellent venue for music concerts, comedy, magic shows, and more! The venue is restored but retains its original aesthetic. The seats are comfortable. The sound is amazing! There are refreshments stands on several levels where you can but food (snacks) and drinks. The balcony seats are actually great and give a great view! You can pay ahead for their conducted parking garage. Take the elevator up and you can gain entry directly without having to go outside. Download the Ticketmaster app for fast check-in. They don't accept paper tickets. Be sure you check the security policy on permitted items and bag sizes ahead of time.

Gorgeous historic theater in downtown DC. I have been lucky enough to see a few shows in this venue and it is a treat every time. I am always in awe of its beauty and charm. From the decorative trim, red carpets and classy atmosphere; you are reminded of old theaters from the past. I saw the Washington Ballet's The Nutcracker recently and it was fantastic! I was glued to the stage the entire night. I would recommend catching this classic when you can! I can't wait to return to this venue for more shows. FYI- there is a cashless bar at the lobby and downstairs by the bathrooms. I highly suggest you go downstairs for the bar as the line down there was not as long.

My wife and I attended the ABC and Howard Jones concert at the Warner Theatre. It is a great venue, and I don't think there is a bad seat in the house. The lobby is a bit tight, especially with a souvenir stand set up. Drinks are obviously expensive. Seating is a bit "close", but that's standard for a venue of this vintage. By the way, the concert was great! Love 80's music!

I agree with others that this historical theater is a gem. There isn't a bad seat in the orchestra section as the main floor of the theater is inclined downward. Saw the Washington Ballet's version of The Nutcracker yesterday. Am impressed with the professionalism of staff and how curtain time is respected, not always easy to do with a full house. The food and drink offerings are interesting, and the bar staff works hard to accommodate theatergoers. There's also a nice Sugar Plum Shoppe with all sorts of merch, including Christmas tree ornaments, nutcrackers (of course), hoodies, T-shirts, bags, etc., with the Washington Ballet logo on them. I assume this "gift store" happens when other productions are here, selling their goods as keepsakes too. The Warner was built in 1924 as a movie palace presenting live vaudeville and first run silent films. It's still going strong today. I do love it.

Ask the Community - Warner Theatre

Is there food at the theatre?

Yes! There's a small cafe and a concession stand inside. Also if you go to the rooftop area there's a little bit of food there too.

Can I buy tickets directly from theater?

Yes. You can purchase tickets from the window at the theater. Sadly, you won't save money on ticket fees.

Are the orchestra seats as cramped as the balcony?

    A ou the same.

Is Metro Center the nearest metro stop?

Yes. There is a parking garage connected to the theater. Some weekends it is only $10 to park there. There is a parking garage across the block ( one the CVS side) that has $15 & $20 event parking, depending on demand. Metro center is just around… Read more

I did not grab any food or drinks, so I cannot speak to pricing or options, but one thing I will say is avoid the bathroom lines during intermission if you can. They get very long. Try to go right before the show, after, or sneak away at a less obvious time if possible. As for the show itself, I loved it. If you've never been, just know this isn't your typical theater outing--it's way more interactive, chaotic (in a good way), and just plain fun. When you walk in, there's a bar, but you don't order directly from it. Each seat has a QR code, and the staff delivers drinks right to you, which is super convenient. Once you enter the theater area, you're even given a complimentary shot to kick things off--great way to set the tone for the night. The venue itself is small and really intimate, which makes the whole experience better. There isn't a bad seat in the house. The seats along the stage are bench-style with cubbies underneath for your stuff, while the upper-level seating has stools set behind bookcases that wrap around parts of the stage. The drink menu includes themed cocktails, plus wine, beer, and spirits--expect to pay around $15 per drink. There are also light snacks, but portions are small and a bit pricey, so don't count on them to fill you up. If you do order food, the stools by the bookcases are definitely the best seats since you'll have a surface to put your plate on--otherwise, it's lap dining. As for the show itself, it was fantastic. There's a lot of audience participation, and the actors absolutely commit--including proving they're actually drinking. One thing I didn't realize beforehand is that not the entire cast drinks--there's usually one designated drinker, which honestly makes it even funnier and leads to some unforgettable moments. The performance is an abbreviated version of the story, mixed with plenty of local references that keep it fresh and relatable. (FYI: STC has productions in two separate theaters - Harman Hall and Klein Theatre, so make sure you know which location is the location for your production). Harman Hall is beautiful - modern, bright, large. We sat in the front row of the mezzanine, and the seats were great but I think most of their seats would be great. Unlike the prices are outrageous, I often like to sit in the front row of the mezzanine when I attend the theater, because I'm short and often find my view obstructed by people in front of me in theaters. Because Harman Hall is modern and newer than historic theaters (on Broadway in NYC, for example), the incline of seats in the theater is much more pronounced than in other theaters. I didn't need to sit in that front row, because I probably could have seen from anywhere. Our performance wasn't sold out, and the theater was not packed or crowded - short lines for the bar (especially on the top floor where we were sitting anyway), short lines for the bathroom. The location is convenient, near a couple of Metro stations, lots of restaurants and bars, and a few museums. We parked in a garage I reserved a spot in on SpotHero, which was less than $15 for the day, too. Although I tend to focus my reviews of theaters on the theater itself (you could see a good production at a theater and then a production you don't like as much - but you can still appreciate the theater - its comfort, its location, its amenities), I will say that the production we saw was interesting and thought-provoking.
