Union stage us a smaller version of the 9:30 club. There's no seating except for a few tables in the back of the room. It didn't look like it had much elevation, so if it's a packed show, you may likely need to stand as well. There are food and drink specials typically before showtime. The service was prompt. The margaritas are tasty, they have an extensive beer menu including IPOs and the pizza has a nice crisp thin crust (average flavor). I do appreciate the option to buy a half pizza. Union stage successfully serves it's purpose.

By far my favorite D.C venue. Yummy pizza, drinks priced averagely for D.C. and there's not a bad spot in the venue to see any shows! It never seems to get too crowded or overwhelming. The bartenders are always super nice as well.

    What a great show!

Just saw The Pineapple Thief here a few days ago. The show was excellent. This is my second concert here at this venue. I saw Soen here earlier in 2024. The venue has street level access but the stage is underground. It's easily accessible though. The staff is very accommodating. Drinks and food are available at the bar. Would recommend you visit.

I love the close vibes of union stage, this is the second time I've been to the venue and it's been great both times. The staff and the service if great and so were the wings I had! Hoping for more concerts here in the future

The pepperoni pizza is absolutely delicious and the drinks are great as well! I've attended two concerts (Taylor Acorn + Loveless & Cherie Amour, Honey Revenge + Arrows in Action) here and the bartenders both times were fantastically friendly. The staircase going to the basement/show area is covered in band stickers and it's amazing to see how many bands have been at such a cozy location. Restrooms are also very neat and clean.

12 dollar happy hour gets you a half pizza and draft beer. Pizza itself is pretty decent, nothing special- the crust tends to run a bit dry. The cheese is pretty solid though. Beer selection for drafts was great- they have some great dark beers that I tried. There is a 20% gratuity included regardless of party size so my friend accidentally tipped 50%, just something to keep in mind.

I am 5 foot 11 inches and could barely see Heilu Mergia when he sat down to play

This is a pretty awful venue in terms of actually seeing and enjoying a concert. The floor is not on an incline and the stage is barely raised so unless you're near the front, your view will be obstructed. And forget about buying a seat as there's no way your view will be clear if you are sitting in the back behind everyone else. The whole venue is a basement with a bar. The whole vibe feels pretty poorly thought out and the whole layout of the place feels like a fire trap; God forbid there was an emergency and 400+ people all tried to climb the stone steps at once. I didn't enjoy anything about the place. A guy on crutches came in and the staff weren't even sure if the elevator was working.

Can you buy a ticket at the door? The event says sale ended

Yes, unless the show is sold out.

Is the pizza shop open during the listed hours or just when there's a concert?

Union Stage serves pizza any day we are open starting at 5pm or Union Pie is open at 11:30am every day!

Is the tap room 21+? We have tix for an all ages show and want to go early.

    It is all ages!

Can I buy tickets for shows ahead of time at the box office? If so, what are the hours?

yes! any day after 5 pm. thanks.

If you have multiple premiere plus tickets, are you guaranteed a seat together as a group or just guaranteed a seat? Thanks!

First come, first serve. Seats aren't assigned. Premier plus just means you can sit at the bar tables/chairs in the back. I'd recommend showing up early, it's hard to find seats at all let alone together if you merely show up on time.

Do we need to print tickets out or can we just show them the barcode?

If you have electronic tickets (through an app or email) they can just scan those. No need to print.

What's the food situation at Union Stage? Do you have anything for vegetarians?

we have a very simple menu - pizza and salads, but there are plenty of vegetarian options between the two!

I went to Pearl Street Warehouse twice: this past Thursday and last night. I mainly went there for two holiday parties. The first time on Thursday night, the people at the door was giving us a hard time refusing to let us in even though I was there to meet up with a friend that was going to take me home. I immediately requested to speak to the manager & he reluctantly let me & my friend in. We went straight to the bar to meet our friend. I asked the bartender for a cup of water. I guess me unwittingly overlooking the pre-made water pitchers annoyed him for working harder than he needed & he pointed at the pre-made water pitchers, not saying a word to me. I told him never mind I'll pour from one of the pitchers. He still decided to make a cup of water anyway despite my small protest. I accepted it. I tasted it & was immediately disgusted. It tasted & smelled like tequila. I am certain he didn't pour tequila in it, but the bar's tap pour must be so dirty or unfiltered from prior servicing, it starts to taste like other things BUT water. I even had my friend to taste & smell it to make sure it wasn't just me, and he agreed. I nicely let the bartender know the water tasted funky. Instead of saying I'm sorry I'll fix that or even just suggesting using the pitchers, he decides to try to make the situation more than what it was by trying to debate/argue with me and was actually accusing me of ACCUSING him that he intentionally tried to pour me something I didn't want to get me "drunk". I was dumbfounded at such an insane & random accusation just because I simply said the water smells & tastes like tequila. Nothing in that statement is accusatory towards him, and I told him I was not accusing him of anything. But I guess he was so upset from my minor complaint that he got the bar manager involved to "prove me wrong." The bar manager didn't seem to want to get involved but did anyway. The bartender decided to taste the water to essentially gaslight me & tell me it didn't smell nor taste bad. The bar manager tried it too & agreed with him. They were 100% wrong and unprofessional. I'm unsure what was the point of going out of the way to prove two customers wrong instead of simply letting it go, but I can assure you me & my friends will never return nor recommend this place. Based on other reviews I've read on here, I see that I am not the only one who has had bad encounters from rude staff and management and seems to have been an issue for YEARS. This might have been one of the rudest & nastiest encounters I've ever had at any establishment in my life. Trying to cause a scene with a customer over dirty water is a very bad look. I would highly suggest the staff, especially that specific bartender, to seek professional help & professional development in customer service. Beyond that very rude and insulting encounter, the ambiance was that of a dirty frat bar, area around the bar is very unclean & the floor is soaked in spilled drinks, so if you go there on a busy night (if they have those), be careful. The live performance on Friday was meh, but I think that was a band the folks hosting the holiday party chose. I also saw in other reviews that the talent they tend to pick are mediocre at best. I can see that being true I do believe Pearl Street Warehouse saving grace is its location (the Wharf). If this establishment existed anywhere else in DC, I am doubtful they'd still be in business solely from their rudeness/unprofessionalism. Hopefully, they will improve on custom service.

We ended up order the Southern Egg Rolls as an appetizer along with a Strawberry refresher to drink. Both came out pretty fast. The drinks were nice and refreshing on a hot day, but had a lot of ice in them, not leaving a lot of room for the actual drinks. The egg rolls were nice and warm with a a good flavor. The Irish spice bag I ordered was pretty good. The food had a good amount of curry spice on them and the fries were crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle. The chicken was good but just not great. The curry sauce that came with it was also pretty good. My wife also said here chicken Caesar salad was pretty good, and the chicken didn't give her the "ick" if you know what I mean.
