Waiting on my girls
LaShawn G.

First time in this spot...not sure I will come back though because of a lot of confusion about the all you can eat and bottomless brunch which was purchased through Eventbrite. Now we went on Eventbrite and my friend actually called the restaurant to see if we had to purchase tickets and we had to so we went on the app and paid the $42 and thought we was set. So fast forward to Saturday afternoon...we were informed that they had to "check" to see if they was going to take our tickets that we paid for or we would have to pay out of pocket again then ask Eventbrite for a refund. Apparently there must be some type of scamming going on....so it was a little confusing on exactly what the issue was. But the server came back and said we was good. The food was pretty good. Didn't really have a chance to get more of the "buffet style food" so to tell the truth it wasn't worth that amount of money. You told them what you wanted and they brought it out to you. Now the bottomless mimosas could have used some work and had a choice of different flavors. They also were a little to warm for my tasting and the services was really lacking. Our waitress wasn't attentive at all to us and our plates and cups kept being empty. Water refills took over 30-minutes at times. It was just crazy! There is an upstairs and downstairs most of the music was coming from up there which was an alright mix...started off very slow but was alright. We didn't stay because it just hitting right. Seems like most of the wait staff were more worried about hooka and their phones. So yeah I know I won't be back unless there are some free incentives!

Brunch vibes for Halloween

I loved this spot! Music: there was a live DJ playing literally everything to give you good vibes while you eat. Food: all you can eat and serve yourself. It tasted bomb! The food tasted like someone's mom was in the back cooking it up lol. You can tell they make everything hot and fresh. Everything was good except the French Toast in my opinion. The French toast tasted good but gets super soggy in the catering containers. The eggs were so creamy and cheesy and good! The wings are finger licking. The Mac & Cheese was good and not greasy (thank God)! They could add a few more things to the menu like waffles, pancakes, bacon Turkey and regular, etc... Service: The staff were nice and seem like a fun batch. They were attentive and brought out the Mimosas. I do wish they put a pitcher on each table instead of us having to wait for someone to refill it. They made sure there were enough clean plates and glasses on the table for everyone so we never had to ask when going up to get food. Ambiance: The good food and music already set the ambiance for me! However the place itself is two floors but not huge. The seating with no reservation is first come first serve. Deff make a reservation or come early. The restaurant was clean and chic looking. Overall I would come back here again in a heartbeat. I wish t

Vibe amazing, DJ's amazing and so is the crowd. Only thing that was off was the drinks. Drinking $20 juice is diabolical.

My first night in DC and this is exactly how you're supposed to start it…read more A friend brought me to Thurst for birthday weekend vibes, and from the moment I walked in, the energy felt intentional and warm. The purple neon lighting creates this sultry, intimate atmosphere without being overwhelming. It's the kind of place where you can actually connect, laugh, and still feel like you're outside living. The music was a vibe. Smooth R&B blended with some Jamaican flavor and nostalgic cuts that made the room feel alive. It wasn't chaotic; it was curated. The sound set the tone without overpowering the experience. What stood out most was how comfortable the space felt. Beautiful crowd, welcoming energy, and that perfect balance between lounge and nightlife. It's not just somewhere you go to be seen; it's somewhere you go to feel good. Perfect first stop for my DC weekend. I'd absolutely return.

Came here with my a couple of my homies for a quick drink and this place is too cute. Small but spacious, dimly lit but not eerie or creepy and the bartender is NOT shy with the pours. Music was some early 2k r&b (who doesnt love that?) and its just... vibey! I know sometimes men can feel a little put off by women being in their space, lesbian or not, which I completely understand, but we felt welcomed! Two gentlemen even offered for us to sit at their table - so sweet. Even the security guards were sweeties so I can definitely see myself returning on a random night.

Looking for a great sports bar with March Madness around the corner and checked out Over Under…read more A few things: - it's a little difficult to find and once inside you go through a dark, empty hallway to get the elevator to the roof. - while true that it is a roof, it is a roof on the 3rd floor surrounded by buildings and overlooking the not so scenic K St. - lots of TVs, large bar, lounge tables and a lot of space. It was empty for a weekend afternoon The drinks were cheap - $7 for specials and they weee made pretty strong. Service was friendly. They add 20% gratuity automatically and don't share that with you - which is always a pain and not appreciated when they don't tell you and with lots of restaurants following different rules in DC.

Once inside, we were escorted up an elevator to the rooftop which was set up very comfortably. There's a long bar that seats 10-15 guests, lots of high top tables, and a good handful of booths. The lighting is fun, views are solid, and open-covered patio is really nice. The drinks were good - there was a $6 vodka lemonade special for the day so we had a few rounds of those. The lemonade they used was delicious - perfectly tart to cut the vodka well. They also added mint to the drink, which really made it pop. I'm about to start doing the same at home! We tried the nachos which were a little disappointing. Nothing stood out from a flavor or taste perspective - they need a little pop of seasoning or flavor. They also weren't your traditional nacho platter, but seemingly an elevated 'fancier' version. Appreciate the effort to elevate the dish, but a classic sheetpan nacho would have been perfect. Our service was a little bit slow - we found ourselves having to work a little bit to flag down a waitress or bartender. Not terribly slow, but something that we noticed throughout the afternoon. Pro tip: Keep your eyes peeled as you head towards the entrance - the main door was a little tough to find. We walked right past the entrance way once and had to doubleback. A larger sidewalk presence might be helpful to help bring folks in.

The manager was super accommodating and attentive. He checked on us multiple times and made sure our waters stayed full -- we love a manager who manages! I've been to The Park a few times, and I'm not even going to lie -- I go for the HH every time. They have one of the BEST happy hours in the DMV. Don't argue with me! The drinks are reasonably priced, the food prices are on point, and everything is GOOD. The Park is always CLEAN -- from top to bottom, okay! It gives upscale restaurant vibes every time. I always forget how cute it is inside, and the music was definitely setting the tone. They're officially back on my HH recommendation list!

We decided to stay and check it out, @1pm on a Sunday. Brunch is from 11a-4pm. There was only 1 other person for brunch, when we arrived. There was a DJ was that playing super loud music. Mostly rap music. The food was good. Fresh salad, fruit, meats etc. Unlimited mimosas was $25 per person. We could only order 1 flavor at a time, which there was about 8 flavors. They were good By 3pm, the place was more so filling up. What was crazy was at 4pm, the workers started breaking down the buffet-- quickly!! The workers did provide everyone with TAKE HOME Boxes, so we filled our boxes as fast as they were breaking it down lol Hookah guy arrived, think it was a total of $68. The hookah was good Gratuity is automatically included. Our waitress was GREAT!
