What's a double deuce shot? Vodka and things.
    Andrew P.

Another one of those neighborhood bars where everyone seems to know each other and they're super friendly. It's a bit far from home, but I met up with a friend who had business in the area. One half of the place is the bar and several tables, while the other is more tables and a dance floor. A DJ was playing some old school jams on that side. When I ran to the bathroom, I passed by a table that had a big tub full of decks of cards. There was indeed a table of people playing card games, but I just assumed they brought their own. I've been to bars with pool tables and darts... but countless decks of cards, heck yeah! Admittedly though, the crowd made me feel like I was way too young for the place. It was definitely mostly folks in their 40s and up. I didn't get any food... there's not too much to choose from, but I get the feeling it tastes very good. I'll be trying food next time, along with figuring out what their schedule is... do they have a DJ every night? Is there ever karaoke? Live bands? Time well tell, but for now let me tell you about their drinks: GOOD STUFF! I got a rum & pineapple juice and tried a double deuce shot, which is vodka mixed with some other things. First impressions of the place were great, I will definitely return when i'm in the area. Oh, and IT'S BLACK-OWNED, YAY!

Fried fish and okra.. soooo good I drive 45 minutes for it

I love the food and the atmosphere. On any given day you can walk in on a few card games, hand dancing and karaoke. The patrons and staff treat you like a cousin they haven't seen in years. Pull up a chair be respectful and enjoy ANY of the items on the menu. They have some of THE BEST cooks and the bartenders all know how to pour a good drink. Destress, relax listen to some good music, eat and be happy.

Looking for a quaint bar atmosphere with great music, a dance floor and good food? I would suggest The Bottom Line. I think this place hands down have some of the best fried chicken and drink prices. Each week they do karaoke and sometime you can catch a live band playing there. Always accommodating and friendly staff to assist you. If you're in Clinton Maryland, I would recommend you stop by this establishment.

On December 27, 2025, my husband and I had a concerning experience at Hideaway Restaurant that I…read morebelieve deserves attention and transparency. Upon our arrival around 10 minutes before 8 PM, we were asked for identification as we proceeded to the bar. Everything seemed fine until we left around 10:11 PM. As my husband retrieved his cigarettes from his coat pocket and grabbed our clear food container, a security guard, a heavy-set gentleman in a purple sweatshirt and blue jeans, without any visible identification or formal security apparel, hustled behind us, inquiring about a drink cup. Despite having food, we were treated with suspicion. A second security personnel member followed (Not schedule to work named Charles W.), dressed in casual street clothes without any visible identification or formal security apparel adding to the discomfort with an aggressive demeanor. I voiced my concern, stating, "We are not like that." This wasn't just an innocent misunderstanding; it felt like profiling. As my husband enjoyed his cigar, the second security guard continued to watch us, which was both unwarranted and unsettling. In an environment that claims to embrace Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, we saw none of that during our visit. Questions for the owner of Hideaway Restaurant: 1. Why do your security staff not wear recognizable uniforms or badges? How are patrons supposed to identify your security personnel? 2. What protocols are in place to ensure that all staff, especially security, are trained in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion standards? 3. How do you handle incidents of alleged profiling or discrimination, and what measures are taken to address such concerns? 4. Can you explain the training procedures for security personnel regarding interactions with patrons, especially in terms of recognizing and addressing possible biases? 5. What actions will you take to ensure that no other patrons experience what we did? 6. Are your security personnel certified and properly trained according to Maryland state regulations? We believe that everyone deserves to be treated with respect and dignity, irrespective of their background. I urge everyone who has faced similar issues to share their stories. Please share your thoughts and experiences as we stand together against harassment and discrimination!

She was super nice and def set the tone for the rest of our experience. Security opened the door for us and we entered the lounge and noticed it was spacious and clean. I really appreciated the happy hour being every day - my group ordered wings and salmon bites from our server, Sandy. The food came out hot and was good. Sandy was also super friendly and accommodating. When a couple of my friends didn't like their drinks, she and the bartender worked together to make them way better. I would love to return later in the evening to see how the vibes are. If it's anything like my initial experience this may end up being my new spot!

We had to wait at least 30 minutes for a table. Parking was tough barely got a spot in the back. It was something to do but not my cup of tea. I had never heard of this "lounge" but it was giving converted garage with barely any insulation. I had to keep my coat on! Service was slow. The servers didn't seem like they wanted to be there. The buns on my sliders were dry. I liked the fries and that was it. Drinks were overpriced. If you like hookah, there's that. I don't see myself ever returning here.
