    Crispy roasted potatoes
    Tom P.

Was in Powel and decided to stop in for brunch. Right off the bat their scones are so good, They are seasonal and on this day it was cheddar and bacon so good. I started off with the Breakfast burrito this burrito is loaded. Starts off with a huge piece of egg soufflé, tomato and corn salsa, fresh avocado, crispy red skin potatoes, black bean, cheddar cheese on a flour tortilla. Yes, all that on one burrito, it was outstanding. I also ordered a side of the crispy roasted potatoes, these are seasoned perfectly and a great addition to the brunch. My only issue is it's a pricey brunch but the food is fresh, and very tasty.

Had a great lunch outside in the patio at the Locust Table. The menu is small yet packs a lot of variety, all fairly, healthy fresh options for salads, quinoa bowls, sandwiches, breakfast options, and treats. You order inside at the counter and the food is brought to your table. I ordered the Thai peanut quinoa bowl with chicken, a half heirloom tomato salad, and a chocolate chip cookie, all of which were very tasty. The portions are not huge, but they are filling and well-made. I look forward to returning.

Recently had brunch here with friends and it was delicious! I got the avocado toast with an egg on the side and my son had a grilled cheese. My friend had the lemon French toast and another one of my friends has the egg sandwich. It's not a typical sit down restaurant and you order up front and they bring out your food, but the food came out quick and the staff same to check on us regularly. Lots of great lighting and they were even playing the Palms which is always going to help with the vibe.

Lunch today at The Locust Table in Powell, Ohio was amazing! I loved everything about this place! The indoor and outdoor seating, the atmosphere, the friendly staff, the cleanliness and the food! Everything was excellent! We were traveling and just passing through but I fell in love with this town!

When did The Locust Table start serving dinner?! What a great surprise. Since we always loved the breakfast and lunch there, could not wait to check out the dinner menu. So many unique, healthy dishes. I got the Korean Pulled Pork quinoa bowl, the flavors were amazing. The restaurant is adorable and has a nice outdoor patio. Noticed signage about happy hour, another reason for a return trip. Highly recommend

    Peaches n cream scone

Was at a coffee house down the road that didn't have scones. (Imo all coffee houses should have scones! Did a quick yelp search and found this great little brunch spot called the Locust Table. This brunch spot also does carry out coffees and bakery items as well as full service brunch. They carry blueberry, peaches n cream and a savory ham and cheese scones. I chose this peach scone and was super surprised when I found it also was made from whole wheat and had pecans in it-- Both bonuses for me! Will return for a proper meal in a month or two as everything that servers brought out and passed by me as I stood there ordering, looked amazing.

    Egg Sandwich

Love the Egg Sandwich and breakfast foods! Self serve coffee you can refill as much as you want while popping up your laptop if fun. Light and airy atmosphere with lots of window light and plants. A great place to meet friends on weekends and breakfast brunch! Have not tried the dinner yet, but intend to.

I had a nice time. The inside was cute and garden like. The food was good, but I don't feel this is the first place I would pick to go back to again. The service was good, everyone was so nice. I had the Belgium Waffle and the Blueberry Earl Gray Lavender Scone. It was good.

It was very disappointing. Dry toast, no jelly, greasy bacon. Cute space but bad food.

Our drink orders were taken and questions answered. The appetizers were all so good. Bread service was warm and fresh, bruschetta was prepared well and was a good amount of food per order. The pretzel rolls were a big hit as well. Salty but still soft. While relaxing the kids got chilly and Kyle offered them blankets which was a really nice touch. Then came the meal. The kids ordered playbread pizzas (sauce was a little spicy), Mac and cheese (which was devoured), and chicken tenders (good amount for a kids meal!). Adults had the sweet potato pasta (delish! And had a little kick), salmon (which they raved about how flaky and well cooked it way), baked cod (flavorful and prepared well), fried cod (nice and flaky, great batter!), and lemon chicken (chicken was a little dry but overall delicious). The potatoes that came with many meals were crispy and soft, perfectly seasoned. This was a really good meal, and we will definitely be back when in town!

Every time I come here, I eat something different and it seems that the bar is set pretty high, you can actually tell the managers and owners are fully invested in making this business successful. As always food and ambience is good and I know this should be part of the review, but I've said it so many times that I just wanted to highlight the wonderful job the owners and management are doing for this place. Please make sure the highest standard quality is gonna be here forever because I'll be eating at this place for every normal day or special occasion. This restaurant should be a landmark in Powell and no one could change my mind.

I was early enough for happy hour and had a wonderful Cucumber Gimlet. The service was excellent. I ordered the House Chopped Salad, Lake Erie Walleye, and Lemon Blueberry Panna Cotta. The salad tasted really good and fresh. The Walleye too. I liked the fennel salad with cilantro lime rice. I ate half to take some home and not be too full for dessert. The panna cotta was good, mostly because of the topping. It is not something I would order again, being kind of bland, but to no fault of the kitchen. I'm not a custard-y kind of gal, but wanted to try it. I would definitely come back here for another meal.

Everyone from the hostess to our server was very friendly and nice. They have a full bar and a decent selection of beers. My wife and I decided to share their whipped ricotta appetizer and their French onion burger. The appetizer came with thinly cut crusted baguette. The ricotta cheese was mixed with some strawberry flavor. It wasn't bad but I would have preferred it to be thicker in constituency. The burger and fries came out perfectly cut into half portions for each of us, which was a really nice touch. We had asked for the burger to be cooked medium rare and I think it came out more like a medium well. The patty itself was a bit dry. This may be a one off issue and we hope to return to try some other dishes.

I stopped by here a couple nights ago with one of my coworkers while on an out-of-town work trip…read more Despite being a Monday, the place was actually pretty busy. Regardless, we were seated right away. We were given a spot at a high top inside but adjacent to the open windows for some fresh evening air and a nice cooling breeze. Unfortunately, service throughout the night was a little spotty. The first round of drinks took a while to come out, the app went missing, our server (who seemed slightly less than enthused all night) took the liberty of snagging an extra one for us, and then our entrees came out right at the same time. I started with the sunrise mojito. Being a bit of a rum snob, I am particularly picky when it comes to rum-based drinks and this one did not disappoint. Probably one of the best takes on a mojito I've had in quite a while. I eventually followed that up with the peach bourbon smash, which was also tasty but pretty heavy on the peach and less on the bourbon. To get started on food, we ordered the street corn nachos. Now, I do love street corn, but something about corn on top of nachos on paper doesn't exactly sound like my personal first choice. However, since my coworker was putting the food on his company card, he went that route. Man, what a mistake I made in my assumption. Absolutely amazing. Gooey cheese, excellent flavors, and not too much to fill you up. My coworker got the shrimp capellini, which looked excellent and he agreed it was solid. I opted for the crispy chicken sandwich (a gochujang aioli? Come on). The sandwich was delicious. The chicken was indeed crispy but also quite juicy. The fries were also delicious being slightly soft, slightly crisp, and not too salty. All in all, a couple service hiccups aside, this was a really fantastic place. I definitely will be sure to make my way back here if I find myself on another work trip for sure!

I've gone during brunch for my most recent visits and can't seem to stay away from the breakfast tacos. I think what makes the tacos stand out is the fried chicken. It's deliciously crisp while still maintaining an excellent moistness. Add that with gravy on top?? 10/10! I find that two tacos is plenty especially considering the side of potatoes. Highly recommend this dish! The true star of this restaurant is the biscuits, whether it's the cheddar & scallion or the cinnabiscuits. I truly don't think I've had a better biscuit in Columbus. They're THAT good. You can't dine here without ordering one of these options. I love the environment and how friendly all my waiters have been. During each visit, a manager has come up to our table and chatted with us about our experience. Very kind people! An incredible establishment all around.

(It was freezing inside that restaurant) It was relatively empty The server was nice. Not sure what the delay was. kathy the server said there was a huge take out order that delayed our order and ours would be right out. (Which I feel may have been a fib.... Not sure but my gut say probably.... Why? No one had come in for a "big"take out order, I think she forgot to log in our order as she was distracted with the table next to us that had their former cook there. I could see that easily happening under this situation.) After waiting another three minutes and no food, we were "over" Over the Counter and nicely told her were leaving. To cancel our order. She nicely tried to entice us to stay saying the owner was going to give us a gift certificate... but that just further solidified that they "knew" our meals timing had gone sideways and we had been neglected. We chose to leave and we dont really plan on coming back. Why? The inside seemed old. We saw the kitchen from our table. It seemed disorganized. It gave off a bad vibe. Add our wait. Meh. Like I said Im over over the table.
