Very poor follow through. They came to my house and gave a verbal quote for my move and said they…read morewould send a formal quote via email. Ten days later I decided to contact them to make the move. I told them all I had was the verbal quote and never received the email from Jeff. They said Jeff was the only one who could confirm the quote. That took several more days. When Jeff called he quoted a price about 1/3 of the original verbal price and I knew he had the wrong customer. He was certain he remembered but then later admitted that he had apparently lost the notes on my job. They asked to come out again to review it. A couple days later they sent another estimator, but from another company working on their behalf. That quote was over double the quote that Jeff gave me. (This estimator walked in with no mask on and attempted to shake me hand - COVID Time). On top of this, they only occasionally answer their phone during their published business hours. Maybe they would have done an okay job with the move, but they are very unprofessional, disorganized, and unresponsive. I asked for a call from the owner, but it's been days with no call. They apparently don't care . No problem, there are others in the area and I would recommend going elsewhere if you value your time.

My items were timely delivered on the requested date - January 6th, 2013 - which will go down in history as a record cold day in Chicago with polar vortex being in full force. It was minus 11 degrees outside and snowing, and the driver was there on time as promised... Impressive. Overall, this was an very smooth and painless transaction. Eagle Storage emailed me a quote right away after I described what I needed; no phone call required. I arranged a pick-up the week after and the person showed up on time in a big truck, took my boxes and off they went to the storage. I didn't have to do anything. All of this was priced very reasonably considering this was for storage AND transportation AND labor. No hidden fees or anything. I wish I had more cash on me to tip the driver who made a trip to my new place in this horrible weather. Thank you Eagle Storage! :)

Also had to leave a review because the manager, Melanie, is literally the best property manager I have ever worked with about a storage unit, or anything for that matter. She was SO attentive, kind, helpful, and on top of everything. I was nervous about moving out of a storage unit for the first time and how the process goes (I didn't want to miss any steps or mess something up and be hit with a fee) but Melanie made moving out a BREEZE. I had a unique situation, too, because my storage unit was originally in someone else's name, plus I had some large things in my storage unit that wouldn't fit in my car or family's car. She explained everything to me and said she'll call me later before 6pm to touch base with me so I'm 100% set (she also had to make a few phone calls). She helped me resolve everything and if I didn't have to move storage units due to a work location issue, I'd still be here! Thank you Melanie for being extremely helpful and going above and beyond; definitely leaving Public Storage with an amazing experience in mind.
