    Caesar salad

Pretty average experience here. I waited for about 10 minutes to be seated, although it wasn't busy inside. Seems to be lack of staffing maybe. I sat at the bar, and saw there was a QR code to scan and order. I checked that menu out first on my phone. Then the waitress gave me a physical copy of a menu, but there was no explanation to order through my phone or through her. On the online ordering, it had a side caesar salad. I asked the waitress for one, and she was quick to say they don't do that here. Seems to be confusion with the two differing menus. I ordered a full size caesar salad, and it was very average. Not bad, but not great.

Good seating, nice service and huge portions of reliable local eats The burger with fries was best as was loco moco. Didn't really like the Mac salad Also enjoyed Kalua pork nachos- huge- spicy cheese which I like

How does The Local have such a low rating on Yelp? For an airport place, it's pretty great. Prices are a bit lower than on Waikiki; food is unimaginative and not the most flavorful but just fine (especially considering you're in an airport, for Heaven's sake). Decent selection of eats, cooked to order and big portions. The service that we experienced (you order on your phone and they bring it to you and check on you constantly) was really terrific - on par with that at a fine-dining place. And the view of the Japanese Garden - well, how are you going to do better than that in an airport anywhere?

Poke was great considering it's an airport restaurant. The staff were friendly. The Krab Club was 1/10 do not recommend.

Next time you leave the island out of HNL swing by The Local for some local-style food. I usually grab something on my way to the airport but today I was rushing and did not have the time. Lucky for me, the TSA Pre-Check line was empty. The loco moco was huge and almost couldn't finish it. Decent for airport food. Take out and eat the rest on the flight back.

Pretty good for an airport restaurant. Especially when compared to pricing at the Burger King. Spend the extra couple bucks and get the better food before you are eating stale crackers on a 5 hour flight. View looks out onto the beautiful courtyard of the Honolulu airport. waitress was friendly and efficient. Food was a good portion size and very tasty. I wasn't sure what to expect, but was very pleasantly surprised.

    Beyond Burger and Loco Moco

Came here before our trip to LA. Waitress was an older aunty who wasn't very enthusiastic to be there. We ordered through our phones, my partner got the Loco Moco and I got the Beyond Burger. The Loco Moco was decent. I thought the gravy was good! It was rich and thick. I didnt try the patty but the mac salad felt heavy and not very tasty. The Beyond Burger was very disappointing. Not sure how but the patty was slightly raw, and pink in the middle. I highly recommend if you order this to ask for your patty to be cooked a bit more! The fries were even more disappointing. They were definitely not fresh, and soggy. Not sure if they were even left under a warming lamp. I love fries so this ruined my meal. A few years ago when I ate meat I had the pork burger which I remember to be good, but not sure if thats the case anymore!

We always eat here when we come to the airport only because it's convenient place to sit and relax before our flight. I've tried practically everything on the menu and the loco moco is my favorite. Their nachos are pretty good and so are their burgers for an airport. Obviously airport prices but we always have great service here. Wish they had more options but Honolulu airport is NOT one of those nice airports that have great restaurant options.

Came here because it was close to our gate. Our server was very nice and accommodating but the service there wasn't that great. And by service I mean internet service. I guess the establishment is pushing for QR codes and ordering/paying online except for the fact that it's almost a dead zone there with no free wifi. We had the hardest time loading the menu online (they were no pictures of the food we were ordering) so it was a little discouraging since I wasn't sure what I was going to get. Every time I added an order to the cart, something will happen and the server wouldn't load anymore. It'll prompt me to reload and when I do, I loose the item(s) I had previously added to my cart. At this point our server said she'll place the items in for us and all we'll have to do was pay online. We assumed it'll all work out. We ordered the pull pork nachos which was so delicious and the mahi mahi fish tacos (both recommended by our server). The tacos were a little too plain for me and I didn't like that the order came with plain chips. Overall the pull pork nachos were the best. While we were waiting for our order we noticed that everyone was having problems ordering/playing online. Luckily we were able to pay online and leave. Because of the lack of wifi in the establishment we were there for so much longer than we anticipated. I would come back because the nachos were good and our server was so sweet! But only if they figure out their situation.

    Great Loco Moco

I had a low expectations because of the low Yelp reviews. But it was not bad at all for the airport option. Service - Friendly and attentive A++ Food - everyone tasted ok. Loved Loco Moco! Drinks - straightforward For the airport, I'll give 3.7 stars!

Really irritated service... Wanted a quick snack so my wifey decided to try this place since we had almost 2 hrs before our flight. So I scanned the QR code on the table, tried to place the order online and got an error. So I tried again to no avail. So we called the server who said that she had to clear the previous tab, and to try again. In the meantime, we asked for 2 waters. I tried a 3rd time and got another error. When showing the server the error, she was very irritated but took our order. Food came after a while, and later when my wife asked for more water, she didn't even look, then came back to our table and kind of banged to cup on the table! Sheesh ... while I get someone might be having a bad day or something, but seem like this wasn't our fault ... we pay the airport price and get this kind of service...

The husband and I had time before our flight and decided to grab some drinks and light bites to pass the time. We seated ourselves and a staff member greeted us and gave us menus. We decided to share the Dirty Kalua Pork Nachos (crispy chips, nacho cheese, gastro sauce, garlic aioli, avocado crema, citrus lomi tomato, island spice, cilantro). The nachos were tasty and paired well with our beers. Prices are steep, but that's given since it is airport dining. Service was friendly, slow at times, but no big deal for us since we came to kill time. Overall, a chill place to grab some drinks and food while you wait for your flight.

So, when a hair was found in my daughters cheesecake it was a bit shocking! The waiter recognized the grotesque error in production and immediately ask is she wolike another slice. She agreed and was presented with the hair free 8.50 version. It is common practice to not only provide the option of replacing the product for the customer but to remove the charge for the hair laced food from the bill. This action not only expresses the restaurants remorse but signifies their desire to keep you as a returning customer. Unfortunately this did not occur nor was any Kama' Aina discount applied (resident discount). Curious to know if the assumption that we, African Americans, are not aware of the rights a d wrongs in the service industry. Nonetheless, as a travel provider for tourists here in Hawaii, I will not longer recommend or refer tourists to Nico's pier 38 from this day forward. So sad. I expected more from this Honolulu establishment.

Location: Kitchen Deja Vu is located inside the Blue Tropix Bar & Grill, which just so happens to be right across the Chili's from Pearlridge Center. Parking: Plenty! You can park anywhere in the Pearlridge Center parking lot Food: We ordered 5 items 1) pan fried pork cheese buns: 10/10 - pillowy soft bread expertly soaks up all the juices from the pork filling, perfectly pan fried bottom adds a bit of crunchy texture, pork filling was seasoned well and there was a decent amount of cheese inside as well (it was giving pizza flavor vibes), supposedly "spicy" but it wasn't too bad at all so this would be good even for those with a low spice tolerance 2) pulehu style short ribs: 10/10 - incredible smoked and grilled flavor, cooked and seasoned to perfection! They're not stingy either, nice portion size and a hearty amount of meat on each short rib too 3) big shrimp potstickers: 11/10 - succulent pork & shrimp filling filled to the brim of wrapper! Very on brand because these buggahs was massive and sooo tasty! Classic potsticker taste and there's a whole shrimp in there too, paired with their shoyu vinegar (I think) sauce and wooo this one was winnnahz ‍ 4) charsui udon: 10/10 - nice & chewy udon noodles and absolutely loaded with charsui and veggies that were so wonderfully stir fried allowing them to soften just a little but remain crispy, adding another layer of texture to the dish and ensuring you get a nice little crunch in every bite! 5) kau yuk (caramelized pork belly): 10/10 - big chunks of sweet & savory pork belly, but not as sweet as the name would have you think. It's actually perfectly balanced, you can definitely taste some authentic asian spices going on in there, and the meat was nice and tender Service: 11/10 We ordered take out but you can absolutely dine in if you wanted to, plenty of booths and/or tables to choose from. But I did wanna mention that we were lucky enough to meet Charlie, the owner! Really nice guy, after we gave him our order, our server Kyle took such good care of us. Checked in on us multiple times & offered to get us some water while waiting for our food. Overall: 10/10 Food was delicious, the chefs obviously know what's good, hats off to them! First time trying this place out and it didn't disappoint and love that you can also order directly from your phone through all major food delivery apps or you can even text your order in, how convenient!

We ordered dessert and were disappointed that they ran out of creme brulee...my father ordered the cheesecake and thoroughly enjoyed it.
