A bit dry as well. Unfortunately none of the entrees was as hot as they should have been. Burrata was excellent and thanks for having Oysters. The wine selection was very disappointing. A place for lunch, date night, and everything in between. Their seasonal drink menu was a hit! Muddled blueberry mojito, yes please - I enjoyed the non alcoholic spritzer. They have a bar separate from the dining area which offered its own cozy atmosphere. We saw the comfy booths and opted for the dining area since we were there to catch up and "be there awhile." The dining area was tidy and the tables (and booths!) were set with crisp, white tablecloths..... ours caught all my truffle fries crumbles, toppings that had a chance to escape, sorry Lucy! Food was delightful and exactly what we were ordered & were hoping for: den burger, well done; calamari and a side salad; fish and chips. We'll be back!

The West Side Tavern is a unique, eclectic bar/restaurant in the middle of a Longmont, CO…read moreresidential neighborhood. We went here for dinner & drinks Sun 8/24/25 on our last evening of our trip to Colorado. A neigborhood gastropub in a renovated 1915 grocery store. They offer a bar with a great selection of premium craft cocktails, whiskies, local beers, & wine. We sat at the bar and ordered our first drinks from the affable Tony S. And it was Happy Hour. Bell's Two Hearted Ale ($8) & Pinot Grigio ($6) - Nice! We looked over the limited menu with selections you won't find in most places. We had a cup of tomato basil soup ($7), mac & cheese ($14) starter/shareable - English red cheddar, parmesan, cavatappi, crispy prosciutto, mushrooms-excellent & piping hot, & steak frites ($34) - grilled 8 oz Angus, rosemary and smoked blue cheese butter, house-cut shoestring fries - perfectly cooked, large portion. Dessert was a delicious cheese cake. If we lived nearby we would certainly try other menu items. The bar has a movie loop on the TV produced by the co-owner. It is a facinating film highlighting classic cartoons, highlights from old movies, & all the glamour & kitsch from the '60 & ' 70s movie & TV. Quite the conversation starter. There is indoor & an outside patio for relaxing. Note: limited parking, but plenty of street parking, just watch for the signage. Hours: Sun-Thu 4-9:30pm, Fri & Sat 3-10pm, Sun brunch 9am-1pm. A serendipitous find which was friendly & fun, with great drinks & food. Staff is excellent. Thanks again to Tony S. We had a fun time. Nick & Liz, Albany, NY USA

Service 2 Response from the owner 9 hours ago Daniel, my apologies that my host did not find better words to inform you that we are a tavern. While we allow children... we are not a family restaurant. I'm shocked that after you were enlightened to our lack of a high chair you went postal, bad reviews, ranting on next door, calling the tavern and yelling at the staff... all because you wanted a high chair... you have official earned your full KAREN badge. Wear it well and take your attitude elsewhere Response to the owner****POOR management. Questionable treatment of women with your videos. Reviews where people felt they were treated poorly because of how they looked. NO customer service skills and a jerk that is the most entitled karen of us all running the show. I can't wait to watch you fail. The issue is not children. The issue is your rudeness I graciously offered to delete my reviews. If you would just admit that you were rude, but your ego is too big for that. The weight of that ego will crush you. And don't worry about my children I will teach them to stand up for themselves just like I am.YOU CAN LEAVE THEM OUT OF IT. I would hope you would do the same but expect you would just lay down and take it.

I was a little irritated, as it was slightly breezy, but I got over that quick once I tried the food. We had the steak frites, the Thai pork tacos, an old fashioned, and the chocolate decadence for dessert. The steak frites were great- the truffle fries were seasoned with garlic, and served with a great cream sauce. The steak was perfectly cooked rare. Super tender. But the tacos absolutely stole the show. Sweet and spicy with a touch of crunch, and the potato fries were stellar too! The old fashioned really let the whiskey shine, with just a touch of citrus. I think I would try a different dessert though- the decadence was good but didn't quite live up to the tacos. The interior was decorated very cute- mid century modern mixed with plants and some neon signs that said cute things. Our server was excellent- very friendly and on top of it. Overall, I would unquestionably come back next time I am in the area, and suggest you go there too. It's totally worth it.

If you're lucky enough to go in May you'll experience Mai Tai. Every couple of days in May a different Mai Tai is created by a staff member. Davíd's Plantano Mai Tai is inspired by his Dominican roots. So good! If you get a stamp for every Mai Tai you get a prize. The prize really is the ability to try so many different kind of Mai Thais! The restaurant also has a nice outdoor patio, but we like dining and drinking inside because of the cool decor. There's even a bar that looks like a ship! We love Swaylo's!

I had the tin man HH cocktail because my server said it would be the most floral (has elderflower in it) and I quite liked it! Was very refreshing, not too strong. Aside notes: the bathrooms were quite clean. Parking was a little chaotic, some is paid parking and some is free 2 hour. There are only a couple spots right in front, I had to park a few blocks down but it was in 2hr free park by another small business that was closed for the day. I didn't have any issues there. Overall thought this was a fun little bar in Boulder with good happy hour drinks, I would def come back :)
