Tried Saddleback golf course and it was fine. For the round with cart it was $98 which is not inexpensive. It does come with access to the driving range and putting green. The course was challenging and we were paired with a nice father/son duo. I had some good shots and many stinkers. They have water stations off of three holes and a beverage/snack woman sitting at one of them. There is a good sized parking lot that was fairly full when we left around 5pm. Three stars for two reasons. First when my friend and I walked in to check in for our round the employee made a stupid comment that was just unnecessary. Second after my driver broke a second employee didn't seem to know anything about the demo clubs Saddleback rents out. As a newer golfer I expect the employee to know something if I'm going to spend more money on a demo. If I lived closer to Firestone I might consider coming back. Too many other courses to try with subpar customer service at Saddleback. read more

Worst staff I'ved ever met at a golf course they lie about everything and gang up on people they don't like. There GM is so out of touch with the safety of the course he doesn't care if other players hit golf balls on top of you or jump ahead and cut in line all he cares about is money and who he can screw over next I would never recommend anyone spend their hard earned money at this golf course as long as Rob Flemmings is in charge of it unless you like getting screwed over by him and his lying staff. The crazy thing is they want you to pay full price for a tee time and then refund you when you have an active full 18 holes free play on your account and then refund you and make you wait 5-7 days for that refund just so they can be more money hungry they are absolutely ridiculous I hope they lose all their patrons until they change this horrible GM Mr. Flemmings. Also when you ask for the manager above him he refuses to give it to you and hangs up the phone on you. read more

Maybe just the best and friendliest golf course in Northern Colorado. Everyone is nice, the course is in great shape. I've almost all but given up on any course that uses GPS in their carts because of how poor their HC variance is. But this courses is by far the best. I don't expect to drive up on the tee boxes and greens, but their carts allow me to get as close as I need. It's an easy drive from home in FTC or meet family from Denver. It's one of my favorite courses. I enjoy the free small bucket of balls to warm up. They've slacked a bit on maintaining this year, especially the greens. Overall, it's a good course with friendly staff and a nice wide open course. read more

Play this course recently on their Tuesday Senior day. The par threes - especially two of them are pretty challenging if you can't get the ball on the green where I lost two balls. Bummer The course was in good shape and I walked 18 but got pretty tired towards the end. Shot a good score for me on the front 9 but didn't so well on the second 9. I'm not sure of the affiliation between the league and the owners of the course, but the league is run by thieves. Each week members pay $20 in addition to green fees that goes towards payouts. There were a total of 6 weeks this year ($120) that they took my money and did not record my score, eliminating any chance of me winning. In addition, I have won $154 in total purse, spent $46 in the pro shop before being told that I only have $59 left. That math does not add up. I've had bad experiences in the past, but I have never had a business blatantly steal money. I will never return, and happily share my experience with anyone asking about golf courses in this area. read more

Shocked at the outrageous green/cart fees. This course is okay but nothing close to other courses in the area at much less cost, i.e. Riverdale Dunes, Indian Peaks. Don't even have electric carts. And the backup at the #16 par four is a joke with everybody waiting for the green to clear as they attempt to drive the green. Not one of the two 4-some groups ahead of us could make it....Rory wannabes. No course management at all! Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time going there. We certainly won't be returning any time soon, unless they get off their high horse and bring their prices back to a reasonable rate for what this course is worth. read more

$80 per person and both have to pay $20 for the cart, what kind of scam is that? Lower your prices, your course is not worth that green fee. I'd say 50 max per person is a reasonable price, with a $20 single cart fee. Can't believe people pay $100 to play here. read more

First time playing Saddleback and I loved this course! It's in great shape, has great views, great facilities, free range balls, and in spite of what I read in some other reviews the pace of play was fine (played on a weekday at 10:30 am and finished 18 in 4 1/2 hours). It is a bit more expensive than other courses I play but easily worth it in my mind! Will be back! read more

Sorry but no thanks. Played last week - the course wasn't in any great shape but most disappointing was the cost. $62 to walk this course. Way overpriced! You can play Riverdale Dunes for $37. And Riverdale is in better shape. I'm surprised Saddelback is gouging thier customers like this. It's a tough time for many people and it feels like they are way overpriced in the area. Bring your price down owners! You look bad during this Covid time to be charging so much. read more

Horrible experience. Pace of play was terrible. No marshal. Foursome ahead of us hit hit 2-4 tee balls each. Then go find them and each hit 2-3 approach shots. After they would finish a hole they would stand on the green and count the hundred strokes they took. read more

The course was great and a round of golf includes range balls. The price is fairly high compared to comparable courses . The cart tablet is nice and the greens are well maintained . I would definitely recommend the course based on not having a group of tank top denim short commandos doing swing juice shots at every green slowing down your round . read more

My favorite course in CO right now, drive an hour to play every Tuesday. Staff is awesome, super accommodating, not crowded, really well maintained with lots of water features and also affordable. Extremely nice carts and your green fees include range balls which to me is such great value. It's worth the drive to play Saddle Rock no matter how far the drive, you won't regret it. read more

What a course! The staff is great and they have a sense of humor which makes it very enjoyable. The course is not extremely difficult but tough enough that when you've finished you'll know you were tested. Greens and fairways are in great shape and the traps are well maintained, no 10 year old sand. I would give it 10 stars if I could. read more

My son picked this venue for his wedding and I would NOT recommend it. He went through two different coordinators and went on to have the facilities manager take over as the second one was leaving. Getting responses back on any questions was impossible. The room was scorching hot and they did not use the swamp coolers as promised. The $500 security deposit was not returned for 2 months and was the shorted by $13 with no explanation. Again repeated emails went unanswered. I have been a vendor doing weddings for over 20 years and I have never seen such POOR customer service. read more

Greens, fairways and tees were in excellent condition and was challenging enough to be hard but fun! I don't understand why the course was so wet though. Sup par golf course that's over priced. No marshal to control pace of play or set loud groups at bay. No cart girl on the weekends and drinks inside are overpriced with tip included even though I had to get drinks myself. Got charged for a more expensive drink then I got and price didn't add up to what the girl at the counter said and forced to pay with a credit card. They let families have lake day on a tee box where we can't use the tee box and don't tell them to leave. read more

I flew into Colorado last month and met my friend for dinner at Saddleback Golf Course right after he finished golfing. I got there a bit early but Slater, the bartender made me feel very welcome and answered all my questions about drinks and the menu! I ended up getting a Mojito which was top-notch! We had the BLT and Saddleback Burger for lunch and both were very good. Unfortunately they do a forced tipping system which is weird and makes me somewhat uncomfortable because you should be able to tip what you want based on the service. Anyhow the service was absolutely great at the bar and couldn't have asked for a better bartender, great experience. Would highly recommend to anyone who is in the area! read more

Regretfully, the Tavern restaurant at this golf course is sub par! The waitress made things right but she was told that our entrée was accompanied with something that when delivered, was not, and learned that the manager and the chef didn't communicate. The appetizers were brought out WITH the entrees, and here comes the last straw: For two people, a 20% gratuity was automatically added to the bill???? For two people? How incredibly rude and presumptuous. And there was nothing listed anywhere to indicate that. Sorry, but as a resident in town, you won't be seeing me anymore. read more

According to my husband, the golfing was great and challenging. He really enjoyed playing the course. Randy, White and the rest of the Saddleback Golf staff were very helpful in accomidating out of town guests. Growing up in CO, I knew my wedding would entail the beautiful Rocky Mountains. SBG has amazing veiws of the northern rockies, which includ beautiful sunset weddings. I would highly recommend this venue for a wedding if you are looking for the mountain backdrop without the travel to a mountain. The on-site Wedding Coordinator, however, was awful. We were promised items that didn't happen, she doesn't have an accessible computer so couldn't respond to questions. She was not flexible and when given instructions on how things should be done, she would question the groom behind the brides/brides mother back. When she did respond she would provide multiple excuses (not handling turning older on her birthday, how she has family responisibilities that is hindering her from doing her job, etc) After the wedding was done, my husband contacted her to make sure everything was paid and to discuss why we didnt' get what we promised. Her response was we didn't pick the highest package (must be a secret one we didn't know about) even though our contract indicated the highest package. She wouldn't work with the vendors, but rather tell you to contact them. All in All if you can avoid working with Cory Elam, I would highly suggest doing so. IF it wasnt' for my family and there creative sides, I feel my wedding would have been folding chairs and tables, nothing else. Cory Elam made my experience more difficult and was highly unprofessional. She didn't deserve the required 20% administration fee as she really didn't do much or honor her commitments. read more

The course is good shape. But, the pro shop staff is rude and uncooperative. I also tried to use a coupon purchased at the golf expo and they would only allow me to use one punch so my husband had to pay full price. We were spoken to disrespectfully when we questioned the coupon use; nowhere does it say can be used only one at a time. Fun track. Great family-owned. They had a funny sign in the cart "this lady doesn't have anything to do with Taylor made, we just thought she was pretty!". Very laid back yet professional. Golf course was in great shape greens were smooth and fast. Never 16 island green drive able par 4 is so much fun, but it's only fair to have a birdie hole after the preceding 2 beastly par 4's, numbers 14 and 15. My girlfriend birdied. #8 sweet par 3, don't miss it right like I did hit on the back fringe like she did them drain the putt. They also have soccer golf which I guess is becoming very popular. read more
