Fun track. Great family-owned. They had a funny sign in the cart "this lady doesn't have anything to do with Taylor made, we just thought she was pretty!". Very laid back yet professional. Golf course was in great shape greens were smooth and fast. Never 16 island green drive able par 4 is so much fun, but it's only fair to have a birdie hole after the preceding 2 beastly par 4's, numbers 14 and 15. My girlfriend birdied. #8 sweet par 3, don't miss it right like I did hit on the back fringe like she did them drain the putt. They also have soccer golf which I guess is becoming very popular. read more

My wife and I live in S Denver and love coming up to play this course. The staff are always goofy and friendly, they have a great sense of humor. The course has always been in pristine condition and will play as hard or as easy as you want, depending on your T box choice. We got rained out one day and they had no problems giving us our raincheck and then honoring it on our next round. We always take advantage of their games and great offers at the annual golf expo. We have held one event here, a throw together golf tournament and the staff was very helpful. LOVE THIS PLACE! read more

I have played many courses in Colorado and I love Saddleback. Every staff person is friendly, helpful and kind. The course will challenge you at every hole! This is a great course for women golfers as well as juniors. Another plus, the email promotions are always fun. My favorite is the marathon golf challenge: play as much golf as you can in one day. One of my best golf days was spent playing marathon golf at Saddleback. Do yourself and your friends a favor, give Saddleback a try. It is worth the drive from Denver. read more

Have played here on a couple of occasions with the Retired Denver Firefighters golf group. Always have been welcomed . The course is always in good shape and the staff is friendly and goes out of their way to make our day a pleasant one. I worked at a course in the Denver area for the last 7 years and know exactly what was happening with the coupon that Babs tried to use. Had that worked on me and had the same result. Babs, the course needs their liquor license to help us salve our golf wounds during and after our rounds. read more

Play 65 holes in one day thanks to the all you can play. Great course, great ownership.

This used to be one of my favorite courses. Quiet, challenging yet not impossible, and well kept. Now, in addition to the nice new clubhouse, they've added no beverage carts on Sunday, no Marshall anywhere to be seen, poorly maintained carts (no water in club/ball washer, dirty cart, low power), and no dedicated food counter for the turn (20 minutes to get a hot dog, but considering the pace of play, not a practical issue here). Add this to poor course management (4 twosomes in a row, all started alternating late/early) and you get an intolerably long round of golf. With Marshall keeping pace, on some holes we waited almost 25 minutes to tee off, with similar waits for the subsequent shots. They can't tip here. Seriously we tried. It's "built into the price" they say. Can't help but wonder if, absent the incentive of tips, it's not only hard to find good personnel to apply (hence lack of marshalls or beverage carts) but that the employees they do have aren't exactly working hard. I liked the course. Lots of challenging holes that make you think. 3, 4, 11, 13, and 16 in particular. Course was in fairly good shape. There were a few patchy spots in front of the greens, but they weren't that bad compared to what you might see on other courses. If the course wasn't so far away from me, I'd play it again for sure. read more

My wife and I have been playing at Saddleback for around 10 years since we moved to Firestone. We play there because the golf course is fun, challenging, and well maintained, but even more importantly because the staff, management and ownership is so pleasant and accommodating. From Whitey and Lanna all the way down to the "trained ape/bowling ball" Robbie, and everyone in between, we always feel welcome. The renovation of the banquet/catering facilities is awesome and adds another feature to Saddleback that other golf properties cannot match. We have eaten here a few times before and enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Today was a completely different experience and will never go back again. When we arrived at the restaurant there was only 2 people in there so we figured, score! No wait and a good seat. From the moment we sat down it all went down hill. We ordered a round of drinks and 2 of the 4 came out wrong. We ordered a pound of wings and coconut shrimp. The wings were unseasoned and under cooked. After eating half of one and seeing the slimy uncooked chicken we asked to get them sent back. They said they would take it off our bill (which it wasn't taken off). We found out our server was only on her 2nd day and we apologized for sending the food back. She apologized. We ordered truffle tots to replace the wings and they said they would take care of them( which again they didn't). The tots were cooked nice and crispy but drenched with truffle and Parmesan and honestly inedible. The shrimp was meteoric at best. We ordered 4 different meals. After a few minutes another lady -Jessica came out and was getting very defensive that we didn't enjoy our food. We just explained to her that we have come many times and been very happy and was just disappointed this time. After about 20 minutes our food came out. Again after trying the salmon, pork chop, steak, and gnocchi we were disappointed. Nothing seemed to have flavor, chewy, and overall not good. We ate quietly. Jessica came back again to check and gave us an attitude letting us know that everyone else tonight loved their food. We were nice and just explained how disappointed we were. She then yelled that we were on camera and we were acting belligerent. We sat there in shock! She let us know that they can refuse service and again we sat there in shock. It was myself and my husband and my in-laws. My husband got up and got his coat and said we would like the bill. She goes to the kitchen area and yelled these people are refusing to pay! This gentleman came storming out from the kitchen as if he was a bouncer coming to kick some ass. Again we sat there in shock. He came over and we let him know that we were paying our bill and was waiting for it. He said they had been giving us all this food and we just didn't like anything. We said you're right, tonight was a total miss with the food. He informed us that he cooked all the food and that maybe this place wasn't the right food for us. That everyone else loves their food. Again told us that maybe this isn't a place for us to come. He said he remembered us from before having a girl crying over her food and they comped our dinner prior. Ummmm sorry sir you must have the wrong people because we came here last in September and wrote an amazing review. He again tried to tell us that we were someone else. We asked again for the bill so we could leave. As we're waiting Jessica is at the bar letting the 2 other customers know what was going on. It was embarrassing and completely out of line for all of them. We asked for a manager and he let us know that he was the highest power besides the owners who were in Finland. Our server never came back. We had ordered wine- never came. Salads that came with our meals- never came! It was a complete bust and we still had to pay $190 for this freaking meal. They took nothing off of our bill. We will tell our story on every avenue possible to let people know of how bad we were treated. Besides the food being horrible - which we get happens- but the fact that they were rude to us and couldn't care less of their service. It's upsetting because we have always enjoyed this place and used to live across the street from the owners. Never again. read more

Avoid renting out the pavillion at this golf course. Our whole event was handled unprofessionally and when we tried to resolve issues the owner was rude and unwilling to take any responsibility. Became threatening and abusive. Highly unprofessional. read more

I have played many courses in Colorado and although there are definitely "nicer" courses, none that I have been to offer the family type atmosphere Saddleback offers. I have always been greeted by helpful and extremely friendly staff and have never left the course feeling upset or disappointed. The course is challenging but very fun to play, and the clubhouse deck is the PERFECT place to enjoy a cold drink and excellent company after a great round of golf. I highly recommend Saddleback to any golfer. read more

The course is always in grand shape. The staff is fun and friendly. This would be 5 stars if it weren't for the obnoxious "lady" who was bootlegging homemade moonshine to some slob named Otis behind the 4th tee box. It got ugly when Barney jammed his bullet into his gat, Aunt Bea and Dopie came along looking for Andy who was busy putting the cuffs on Bootlegging Babs when Barney fired one into Otis' jug. Helen and Thelma Lou tried to play through by hitting into our group and all heck broke loose. I should have just found a noisy Tavern and called it a day. read more

Well, to start off..... Babs, I have never seen a golf course that excepts more than 1 coupon a time and that uasually doesn't allow more than 4 players on a coupon. 2nd, contraband, good one!!!!! And to the gentlman whom only lives a 1/4 mile away from the course and was wanting to walk for a burger, Its not a country club, Saddleback is a golf course! I have never had a bad time the few times I have golfed times and I have never experienced a bad time. Whether it be in the pro shop or on the course.
