Overall I enjoyed bowling here and the cost was comfortable. Great thing about this place, they allowed us to make a reservation ahead of time and did not have to put a deposit down. When we started bowling, I noticed the bowling balls were greasier than other bowling places we have been too. The people next to us brought in a small towel to wipe them down. We will be doing this next time, as I was a bit worried about staining my clothes because I wiped my hands on my jeans every time it was my turn. After speaking to one of them, they mentioned that happens when they go through the chute. Area was clean and they sell beer and food. Breck Palisade peach Beer was great but did not get to try their food. My only issue was that it was so hot. I am not sure if their ventilation system failed, but even if they were to open the doors, this would have helped. read more

This is a classic bowling alley right outa the 50s. It's clean with just the right amount of grease everywhere. The staff is competent and slightly salty. The lane electronics work well and have a classic old school look with oddball cartoons built in. There is a small arcade. There is a decent pool hall. Didn't get food but I'd expect greasy-spoon quality (perfect). Double rum and coke was $10. It is old. Everything works. It is clean enough. It is classic. It's hard to find places like this anymore. Holy cow, buckle in folks. There's a lot to report here. First off, the remodel is AWESOME! I've been coming to these lanes since I was a kid and I have seen it in various stages of acceptable, awful, and omg ewwww. Since the remodel they've upgraded the lane seating to these great booths you can eat and drink in and idk how they did it but they were able to purge out two decades of heavy smoke, beer spills, and questionable cleaning/hygiene from the ambience. Well done, Centennial Lanes! Second, (and this is a hot tip) be nice to Carol the manager. Is she surly? Is she brusque? Yes on both counts, but just go in there knowing that! Be kind, be cheerful, know your shoe size and keep things easy and Carol is not a problem! She'll get you shoe-d up and down to your gorgeous, clean, new waiting lane lickety-split. Which leads me to hot tip #2- call ahead!! They take reservations now, so there's no waiting for a lane! Is this McDonald's? Because I'm loving it. Next up: the snack bar. I gotta say after years of experience with not only this bowling alley but others, I was hesitant to order anything. But my crew was hungry and we were filled with an ebullient, devil-may-care joie de vivre that can only bubble up from an open Saturday afternoon where we were able to get a lane. So why not? Why not, indeed! The snack bar crew are super sweet and I'm not ashamed to tell you that the cheese curds were on point, the fried pickle fries were so good I'm writing a review, and the hot dogs! Holy mackerel, the hot dogs! The bun is toasted up and the dogs are scored, these are legit awesome hot dogs. My only gripe would be: more condiments. For hot dogs this good only ketchup & mustard aren't enough. If they upped their condiment game (I'm looking at you: mayo, relish, and kraut) these could be the best hot dogs in town (watch out, Marco's)!! But for the price, I will not complain there wasn't a condiment bar. Super yum. As for the bar... well... just be prepared to wait a bit. Which can be anxiety-inducing as you know it's your turn coming up or Dangit, RIGHT NOW, and ugh, you've paid for the lane by the minute so every minute waiting is a minute you're not ensconced in the action in your fantastic little booth. But just be patient. The bartender may be new. He's definitely not used to slinging drinks from multiple people. They have a nice selection of beers, but we were at a bowling alley sucking back hot dogs and sticking our fingers into holes only god knows who else have touched-- we ordered a pitcher of Bud Light. Overall clean place and a good place to take a large group. A friend and I had an interesting interaction with an older male employee while standing at the snack bar. We were standing off to the side waiting for the man to take the order of the couple, but they were still looking at the menu so we came forward to start asking for a refill and he snapped at us and said that we could not get service until the couple behind us ordered. However, the manager (Carol) who was running the front desk, was by far the most hateful person I've encountered at a business in a very long time. Bowling Business Centennial Lanes isn't really my cup of tea. This establishment will have you pay after your done which I don't find very nice. I wanted one game since I have kids that enjoy tossing bowling balls around but when the 5th pain is up, they aren't as interested anymore. We got to the end of our first game and was wrapping it up but my son decided to start a new game and rolled the ball down the lane. Once that happens, you gotta pay for that new game you played. Sneaky sneaky. Why don't they just take my money and end it after the game(s) I paid for?! The price is reasonable. $3.75 per person per game. They don't mention it's for every person you add on the screen so be careful. I was pretty peeved about that. Shoes are free for kids but I'm not sure of the age or size limit on that. Adult shoes are also about $3.75. They also have a little snack/bar area where you can grab some munchies and brews. Not the best place to eat or drink. The food is your typical fried food and appetizers. You can't go extremely wrong but it sure isn't gourmet. The pricing for food is on a high side but you can always order a pizza from a local joint. I think you can even have "Blackjacks" deliver. Never tried it but other people seem to do it especially for birthday parties. Beer is another story. If you must guzzle, go for it! The prices can be pretty good. The staff I've encountered was pretty nice. There are a few that can be a little rude and not so personable. Lanes were really short and the ball return was a little wonky, balls kept getting stuck. The kid ramps were really worn down and never sent the ball straight. The 7$ pizza was burnt and not good at all and took like 25 minutes. If i could put 0 stars i would. My friends and I went out on a friday night (03/26/2021) did an hour of bowling and had some beers afterwards. The "manager" as she calls herself constantly kept eyeing us as if we were doing something wrong and then came up to us took our drinks off the table (while they were still full) and demanded for our IDs after already showing them when buying our drinks. She ripped (literally ripped ) our IDs out of our hands and walked away with them. She didn't even bring them back someone else had to. She was very rude since the beginning from renting our shoes to leaving the building. I would not recommend coming here. Definitely not coming back. read more

Maybe reviewing a bowling alley without being able to review the beer is silly, but I am a nerd and I like bowling for bowling's sake and this alley is cool! First of all, they had a 13 pound ball, which is rare - usually alleys only have 12s and 14s. This intermediate-weighted ball caused me to bowl a ridiculously uncharacteristic 208 in one game. The machine never malfunctioned, the scoring was always right, the computer didn't screw up during those spare - one extra roll tenth frame thing that computers always screw up on. The lanes were even. The setup was easy. The dude behind the counter was nice to us even though we didn't know how many lanes we wanted or how many people in our party. The man up front was truly, truly atrocious. The bowling balls kept getting stuck which caused us to lose a good 20 minutes in our game which led us to having to buy another game while losing the one we were on. We asked what we could do about this and he basically said "oh well." This happened twice. Lost about $20. One positive was the woman working the food was great. read more

Centennial Lanes is a big bowling alley, 32 lanes, and is usually pretty busy although we've only had to wait once. The lanes are well taken care of and the facility is clean and family friendly. They run heavy oil on the lanes, more than any other local lane so be sure to bring a ball for those conditions. The food is fine. The beer selection is pretty weak given Colorado is craft beer heaven but it's probably what the locals ask for so I can hardly blame the owner although I'd definitely like to see better beer selection there, even if they had to pour it from bottles. I've edited this after bowling here a LOT and I think this may be one of the best bowling alleys in the northern front range. The owner really cares about the bowlers and goes out of his way to make sure you're having a good time. Amended my review to 5 stars. A further amendment. I give this 6 stars, it's the best place that I have ever been!!!! The boys there are so hot, atleast last thursday they were. I would eat all the food if I had money and I love how all the balls come in different colors. The shoes there are great, they even had my size and I just love this place. Fist time bowling here and was let down. When we got there they said $5 cover charge per person plus shoe rental. $2.50 per game. Ok so we agreed on that. Once you're done and go pay they change it to $2.50 per game per person. (The flyer they have only says per game) Like really why didn't you say that at first? Seriously a rip off. My brother went the week before with his kids and they did charge him the $2.50 per game not per person. He tried arguing that today and they only called the cops giving him two choices pay or theft ticket. Never this place again! We'll drive the extra miles for steady rates. read more

We have loved coming to this bowling alley for a few years. Exactly what you would expect from a regular bowling alley. We did have a poor experience with the service this most recent visit. We ordered a Burger which comes with chips and you can pay extra to have french fries. We paid the extra for fries, and what we received was a raw burger with seriously about 8 or 9 french fries. We went up to ask if we should still receive chips with the meal considering it did not say upgrade or replace, and considering the fact that we received the smallest amount of fries that we had to pay extra for. The lady at the counter was not friendly and just basically said no one has ever complained before. Eventually she gave us a small handful of chips but was not happy about it. We used to receive a nice amount of fries with our burger. So we couldn't eat our raw burger and filled up on 9 fries and a few chips. Most likely will not return. read more

Worst bowling ally! Chinese owner cussed at us because we didn't know to prepay because no one said anything and then they wanted us to pay $34 for not even an hour!!! What's not to like, great staff, great lanes (new up to date equipment, they just put in new lanes last year - 2010). Great fun bowling Sat night with all the cool lights. Each lane has pull out bumpers to keep the ball from going in the gutter, great for kids and first time bowlers. Always special deals, just ask. There is a league for everyone, from beer leagues to a very competitive scratch league (avg bowler in the scratch league is 200, with high bowler avg of 240). The better the bowler you are, the more you will appreicate Centennial Lanes. read more
