I am being generous with 2 stars. Parking is difficult. Road construction out front makes it so. Had Sunday brunch. Party of 3. Waited about 25 mins to get in. Front door was drafty and let lots of cold air in. Server was friendly and courteous. Ordered simple breakfast, salmon eggs Benedict, stuffed French toast, and truffle fries for appetizer. Truffle fries were delivered, about 10-15 minutes after ordering, and were cold. Food came 2 minutes later with cold food temperatures as well. Food tasted ok. Had a fantastic dinner! It was quite busy on this Monday night and we had to wait 20 minutes for a table, but enjoyed a drink at the bar while waiting. They have numerous craft draft offerings! The restaurant itself was warm and lively with a lot of tasteful artistic flair. For dinner, I had their Cuban sandwich, which is served on naan - a bit unorthodox, but it was an incredible combination! The food concepts and interior were great, but my food was very under salted and our nachos were cold. The kids pizza was burnt on the bottom but still tasted good. Seating was fairly quick however it took a while for the food to come out but once it got to our table we were amazed by how delicious everything was. The pesto pasta was not over powering it had the perfect amount of flavor and balance. The tomato mozzarella sandwich was so filling but also light. We arrived as they opened and snagged a spot at the bar. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The coffee is excellent - like better than expected at a casual spot like this. We visited here on a lovely Friday night, and after a brief 15 minute wait we were seated. We told the host when we left our namenWe were not OK with sitting at the bar. Yet when we were seated, they first tried to seat us at the bar, then offered us a high top immediately opposite the bar. Not a good start. The bartender was also our server, and he was very busy on this evening. It was a good 10 minutes or so before he even took drink orders. It was also distracting because other waiting patrons were queuing themselves up at the end of the bar trying to order a drink while they waited, so we had strangers butts right beside our elbows. Delightful. All that being said, the food was good, I will admit. The chicken sandwich with fig and goat cheese I will say was exceptional. It was loud, which isn't unexpected. Entrees: Na'an Cuban: It's not a Cuban, maybe inspired by a Cuban sandwich. Was it bad? No! The pork had good flavor but it's all I could taste. I didn't get the balance of mustard, pickle, ham, etc... Not a bad sandwich, don't know if I'd recommend. Truffle Frites: Delicious! Perfectly fried and crisp. Flavor was great, not too strong on the truffle. I want these again! Shrimp and Grits: A well done classic. The wife tore it up. She'd recommend it. We were finally seated and now no waitress...another painful 10 minutes. From there it was decent, food took a while to come out and honestly it was nothing overly special.
