Beer prices have remained low and very affordable over the years I have enjoyed Down Home. Also a great place to meet and talk to people in town. Also the place is kind of big and they also have a stage for the live bands. The bands that played that day were pretty rad I think all of them were local bands. I think it's great that this place supports local bands. I really like that they had collection of skateboards on wall. Addtionally I would've given this place a 5 star but they don't serve mixed drinks only beer which is a bummer for me. So I didn't get to drink because of that and also one of the reasons we left. They also had a cover charge which was at a decent price. Furthermore if y'all are looking for chill place I recommend trying this place out.

When I arrived yesterday, the White Horse announced that it was now a membership based non-profit business that will allow it to continue on indefinitely in service to performers and the community. One doesn't have to be a member but membership bring additional benefits depending on the level of participation. The performance was well attended, the music and acoustics outstanding, and the bar service appreciated. Just visit their website for info on upcoming shows and a breakdown of the new membership levels. This venue is definitely appreciated and supported by the community. It is worth a visit, contribution, and/or membership.
