I would drive 5.5 hours just to come to this place. The atmosphere is friendly and warm, just like good ole bluegrass and Gospel should be. This is good, wholesome family entertainment that really gives you a taste of good bluegrass in its natural environment. I love that they have good Gospel music mixed in as well. I think it's great that this place supports local bands. I really like that they had collection of skateboards on wall. After almost 6 months, and after not hearing any word on the status of the show, I contacted ETIX on 3/3/25 for a refund. They told me that they haven't heard a word from the venue and couldn't issue a refund. After being denied a refund, I reached out directly to the venue via email to request a refund, or the date for a make up show, and got no response or bounced email. I then sent several messages via Facebook Messenger with no response. The messages show as READ. They have been posting on Facebook all along, and the county GIS shows the venue is still intact. WHERE IS THE MONEY????

The Black Mountain Center for the Arts is located in Downtown Black Mountain. It is in the former…read moreCity Hall Building. Stairs are the only option to get to the second-floor gallery as the elevator got damaged by Hurricane Helene. Parking is on the street and in public lots. I found out about the Art in Bloom exhibit that was happening and made sure to fit it into my plans. The artwork and flower displays were upstairs. I was there the last day and they still looked amazing. I was thrilled I got to see the creativity. The staff was very friendly and welcoming here, and even provided me with a tour of the facility. The Center has performing arts so I joined the mailing list so I could find out about upcoming theatre performances and concerts. Classes and workshops are offered too. This is a great asset to the community.
