Big open space indoors & out. Live music & a bunch of beers listed at $1-$3...what??!! They said they were just unloading some to make room for new ones. We sat outside & I had a $3 sour, marveling at the low price. Bluegrass band was playing. Def worth a stop on your Black Mountain brew tour.

Super nice spot that's new with stellar workers. A new spot that is sure to grow and continue to delight. Huge and chic, this space is a beauty. Great tables and woodwork. The food looks awesome and there are plenty of veggie options. They are mostly a burger/American spot. But seems a bit local which is on brand for the area. Prices of drinks seem fair. Large pours (example the wine). Something to please all. Some NA options as well. Gets super hot outside as the umbrellas are small. They could do more with the outside. I like that they have a stage and sometimes boast a market but what about some games and such.

We love the Railyard, and we love the Appalachian jam session they do on Wednesday nights with Dan and his friends!

The gossip was all true... great place to stop for a meal while you're on I-40 (or as the locals we…read morewere chatting with told us, stop by anytime!). Extremely friendly service. The locals raved over the nachos and I heard them ask for the recipe. I'm here to rave to you over the side salad. You get a choice of "boring fries" (their name not mine) or a side salad with your sandwich. Holy cow, that's the best side salad I've ever had. No boring iceberg and insipid tomatoes here. Spring greens, sweet onion, shaved fennel, gourmet tomatoes, pepitas (pumpkin seeds), Craisins and lots of fresh herbs with an amazing house-made vinaigrette dressing. Impressive. Absolutely make a stop here and see for yourself.

This is the best food in Swannanoa and literally 2 minutes off I-40. The beer is great as well but…read moreno joke the food is to die for Nola inspired grub. Killer vibe inside with 10 seat bar, 2 lounge areas, hightop seating and a large/covered dog and kid friendly patio. Best chicken sandwich and roast beef sandwich in all of WNC. All the sides, apps and desserts are amazing and worth going back to fryer everything on the menu. Chef Dano(founder of Root Down) started with a food truck rocking out at all those amazing Pisgah Brewery outdoor shows and most recently ran the food program at salvage station(RIP). Our guy is back and now are doing the same high quality tasty fare in beautiful West Black Mountain

At the time we didn't realize that Roberta Flack was born in Black Mountain and the mural on the side of the historic building was in fact Roberta! When you step inside it is cozy and comfortable but we could see there was a large outdoor space as well. I stopped in at the counter and decided to order a pint of their Hazy IPA. We wandered to the outdoor space which is two levels, we explored the upstairs area first since there was a thunderstorm we thought it would be cool to watch the rain and lightning while sipping on a cold beer. We also learned there was a food trailer at the back of the property, which looks to be a permanent resident. They offer items such as pulled pork, poutine, brisket, and more. We ended up chatting with other customers and had a really enjoyable afternoon. We enjoyed our time at Black Mountain Brewing and will absolutely be back!

The first cool thing about this brewery is that it taught me that Roberta was from NC, which I did not know. So, we decided to go and immediately it took be back to the golden era of small breweries. I loved the atmosphere here, again it took me back to when craft beer was a community, and not an industry as it is today. I had a flight with the steam beer, pale ale, West Coast IPA, and barleywine. Everything was on point and very well made. My friend had the American Lager and we also tried the Czech-style lager, which ended up being my favorite. A huge plus and thank you to our bartender who brought us delicious, in-house freshly-made pork rinds! If I lived in the area, this would be my Cheers.
