Placed a near $200 order for a double vinyl first week of March for a late June anniversary present. Took longer than expected to process but arrived mid-April with a printing issue and all four sides of the 2 records were playing ~10-15% faster than the recording, giving high pitch songs. Took nearly 2 months to get a replacement, that fixed the printing issue but delivered 2 identical records with the same sped-up issue. They then proceeded to stop replying to emails and have ghosted me since mid-June, and its now first week of August. Had to resort to a Paypal dispute, which has been a hassle since conveniently for them, its out of the initial 30 day delivery window. Awful experience, ruined what should've been an incredible anniversary present for my wife. read more

After I filed a PayPal dispute, they finally reached out and apologized that they had not been able to respond nor answer their phone due to the holiday rush. While understandable, they then claimed that it had been confusing to match up my emails to the order number, even though I had always responded to email threads that contained such information in it, and had both sent emails AND updated the support ticket on their site as such. After a lot of back-and-forth, where I asked for a full refund, they ended up agreeing to do so on the 24th after them almost rushing and then sending out the order by mistake, even after I had expressly said that I no longer wanted the order. I finally got that refund credited on Feb 6th; that's the only reason I'm updating this to 2 stars instead of 1. read more

Took my money, sent me records that didn't play, even to date STILL claiming its issues with my turntable (I have two, both play hundreds of other records perfectly - a friend as well with a high end cartridge...same issue, but its our turntables, not their records?!) They are deceitful and do not stand behind their product. Siddarth is a literal liar and I have the email chain from everything. The owner is a complete joke, also blaming my equipment. Despite an upload error and their confirming up front they would correct it, they printed center labels wrong as well...still blaming me. I refunded several customers out of my own pocket for their record purchases. Avoid American Vinyl at all costs. read more

Great customer service! The option to design on the website is really convenient - but I had a problem with properly lining up the image. They were extremely helpful in rectifying the custom gatefold print. Charged only the shipping cost to replace the item and were timely and receptive in their emails. You can tell this company cares about the quality of their work AND their customer service. Will probably use them again in the future- highly recommend and they have lots of cool stuff. read more

I was referred to Ryan at American Vinyl Company from a friend of mine here in Asheville, NC. I went into his studio which is like walking into the 1950's! (So cool) we discussed my ideas and he happily showed me around and explained my options. He was so helpful and patient with me while I was figuring out my purchase with him. I was creating a custom vinyl record with a specific cover I wanted for my sisters wedding. Ryan had no problem sitting down with me and helping me reach my intimate goal. He rocks!! I got my record on time and it is very professional looking and the sound is amazing. there is no other company out there like this one. The customization feature on the website was a little buggy at times but eventually it worked. I customized the album cover and labels for the record, they have amazing customer service because they helped me with all the questions I had and they answered pretty fast. I was nervous about the way the cover and everything would come out because I never did this before but when it came in the mail I was so happy, everything looked really good. I would order again, considering how cool of a gift it is to give someone or maybe just make one for myself. read more

I am very disappointed. I ordered a record, the cover turned out very nicely but only one side of the record played. They kept telling me that something was wrong with the needle or arm... how could that be if one side played? They would not repress the record, nor would they refund my money. If I could rate them higher, I would. The customer service was absolutely incredible. I was worried from the get go about getting the record in time and making sure that my design looked precisely the way I wanted it to. I asked a total of about a thousand questions, and each one was met with a simple answer, and I even emailed them to let them know when I had submitted my order and they made sure that things went off without a hitch.
